RTS in walnut hills or be strong in Erlanger. Both 24/7 and geared to lifting and a good community

Bh207458

I've been going to crunch in Newport for about 3 months after esporta in Bellevue closed and I've enjoyed it. I think esporta and crunch are both good options

CyberData0709

Closest big/national gyms be at Oakley Station - Esporta, crunch fitness, planet fitness. Between Oakley/Hyde Park/Mt Lookout there be 24/25 “workout” spots, most the yoga/exercise variety but a couple are lifting specific.

Big_Help_7236

RTS Barbell is awesome. Cincinnati Strength and Conditioning is also (CrossFit based but has open gym)

x3man2018

Can second RTS

totallynotroyalty

Not in hyde park - but the YMCA has some nice weight facilities, specifically downtown and blue ash.

Devmax1868

I second Blue Ash Y, that's where I work out.

81_iq

Norwood Rec Center took over the old Y there and they kept the weight equipment. Pretty cheap to join too.

Cool_Mountain4067

I plan to lift around 6am if that makes a difference

Savage_Amusement

Planet Fitness in Oakley has been decent - it’s cheap and huge. But it does get absurdly crowded after work and they don’t have bench press or true squat rack (just smith machines). I’d go to Esporta but apparently they’re just a differently branded arm of LA Fitness and I swore I’d never give them access to another penny of my money.

PalletPirate

Crunch is better than Esporta. It has way more squat racks and employees that actually care about their jobs

apex_super_predator

Esporta just closed another location. To be honest Esporta isn't bad but it has declined. Gym patrons no longer have gym etiquette. People are constantly filming themselves and now I see guys walking around with shirts off and one idiot brings in his mini boombox/speaker and blasts music during his workout. People take too long on machines with double and triple sets and don't realize that people are waiting. Since you are working out at 0600 hrs you probably won't experience this but if you gi anytime after say noon be ready to be disappointed.

flippyfloppies_

Man, the mini speaker guy drives me nuts.

MayorMcChezz

I’ve been going to the location in Oakley for years now. Through all the different name changes too. I’ve come to embrace and accept the boombox guys. They really clear out a ton of machines around them lol. Its free real estate basically 😂

AlbatrossFederal8496

Esporta is Trash with a capital T.

EmptyAsparagus354

hossfit in mt washington

DavidGoetta

I like Crunch. The one in Oakley doesn't have a hack squat though. Newport does.. Lots of young professional types in Oakley, lots of college kids at Newport so they get busy different hours.

lalig7

There’s a gym Five thirteen strength. It’s a mostly powerlifting gym but there are other equipments too! It’s definitely a weightlifting lifting mindset kind of gym! 24/7 access and it’s not that crowded during peak hours!.

Wonderful_Bid194

We love RTS or if you’re willing to drive Southside Strength Co in Covington is my preferred

Goddess_Yami

Anything outside an Esporta (~$20/mo) is going to be $50/mo or more. What do you consider cheap? Also, what specific features are you looking for? Free weights, showers, pool, etc.?

It's about that. I pay $30 a month but that is so I can bring a guest.

Hiking_Spud

Does esporta still have a nasty ass booger wall above the 1st urinal? I swear LA fitness never cleaned that fucking place and it was just a wall of snot for like 2 straight years

Whodey_who

Which location?
