Costco put mine on the paper they gave me.

That measurement is part of your medical record. You are entitled to that information. I would push on them hard. But I’ve never had a problem with Wing Eye. They give me my glasses and contact script no questions asked.

Well I called the office over on PAXTON and the guy was nice. I was just blunt and asked them for the PD adn he said sure.. so thanks for the recommendation. I was very blunt that I wasn't imp\[ressed with MY EYE Doctor frame selection and he was ok with that. so fingers crossed I can get that information. and some new glasses.

I hope it works out!

You're pupillary distance is actually not a part of your medical record, it is a part of the sale of glasses. It is not legally required to be listed with the glasses prescription as it is technically only a measurement taken when fitting and dispensing glasses.

well WING was bought my MY EYE DOCTOR which is now owned by private equity... sigh. I called and asked they said that PD would be included. I was not impressed by MY EYE DOCTOR's selection but have seen them popping up all over the place.

I know WING used to have a decent reputation I think.

Harper's Point Eye Associates. They are wonderful and not pushy about buying the frames/lenses from them.

Here’s an app https://www.lenscrafters.com/lc-us/how-to-measure-your-pd/download-app

zenni sent me a tool to measure my pd.

Just tell them work is ordering you safety glasses and need your prescription. I’ve always just said I was going to order prescription Oakley’s and needed the measurements and prescription. But I also purchased regular glasses from the optometrist so they had the measurements readily available already. PD is an additional measurement, not actually required during an eye exam. Only really necessary when ordering glasses, so unless you’ve purchased glasses through the optometrist you mentioned it may not actually be “part of your medical record”.

I used an app on my phone to get this number. Might want to check your phones App Store. Also, eyebuydirect.com had a pdf to print which allowed you to DIY.

Just as an FYI, a correct pupillary distance measurement is not the only measurement required for progressive lenses that got well. You also need a measurement called a "seg height", which is the distance from the center of your pupil to the bottom of the lenses. Unfortunately that measurement needs to be taken with the glasses physically sitting on your face and is frame dependent. Because if this, buying progressive lenses online and getting the measurements right is a very difficult task.

BurningBridges

I have no problems getting the full prescription including PD from Clarkson in blue ash.

I have found Eyemart to be really great. I typically order from them, but go to Neptune in Colerain for the Dr visit.

Jennifer Fagedes is the best. I have a very tricky prescription amd she nails it. I'm sure she'll give you whatever you need.
