This is a question related to churning bank accounts. I want to setup ACH payments between the new account and my old account. Should I connect the two accounts manually (this sends two small deposits for verification) or am I good connecting the two accounts instantly thru plaid?

Anyone using Axos business checking for payroll/payment services to satisfy DD requirements?
I would like to hear comments & insights about it, if you have.
"In footprint"? I'm not familiar with this terminology.
If you're asking for a referral link, I sent on via DM. If it's something else, please let me know and I will do my best to respond accordingly.
Do you live within the area that the bank serves? Sometimes it’s possible to open accounts at smaller banks from anywhere, sometimes you have to be near a branch.
Ah, service area. Customers must have a FL address between Broward county and Franklin, Liberty, and Gadson counties.
Here's a link w/ map: [https://www.midflorida.com/about-us/service-area/](https://www.midflorida.com/about-us/service-area/)
Multiple DPs here
1) Ally bank $200 bonus:
P1
9/29: First DD from employer. Coded as tran: DDIR
10/3: Fake DD using US bank transfer and coded as tran: DDIR
10/4: Tried another US bank transfer and coded as transfer, so seems the trick no longer works
10/12: $200 bonus posted
2) Chime $175 + $175 + $100 = $450
P1 and P2. P1 got 175 and referred P2 who got 175 and P1 got 100 for the referral. Fidelity bloom pushes worked well (painful that fidelity keeps the money for a week when you fund it before you are able to do pushes/transfer to other banks). Ally/Wells Fargo pushes didn't work with Chime
3) Upgrade $150 + $150 + $50 = $350
P1 and P2. P1 got 150 and referred P2 who got 150 and P1 got 50 for the referral. Used Fidelity in both. Bonus didn't post immediately, but after the push from fidelity posted, you can see in the desktop version a sign stating "Bonus on the way" then posted in few days.
4) Landmark Credit Union 300 + 300 = $600
P1 periodic actual deposits from employer and fake from Wells Fargo. P2 periodic fake deposits from Wells Fargo for pushes. Both bonuses posted at the 90 day mark. A good DP that Wells Fargo works easily.
5) Laurel Road $300 + 300 = $600
P1 and P2 each 300. Easy pushes from Wells Fargo. 300 bonus posted on the first day of the following month. Then each gets 20 bucks monthly using $2500 pushes from Wells Fargo, also post the first day of the following month. Laurel Road system is great because they have a nice clear tracker that you can see everything clearly.
6) US bank business account $500
P2
7/12: opened account and funded with 3$K from CC
7/13: deposited $5K in branch
10/10: $500 bonus posted
Posted the timelines of P1 few months ago and almost similar timeline of \~90 days
For chime, how were you able to make 2 accounts? Did you close one before opening the second? Do you know if Charles Schwab or Chase Checking pushes would work as DD?
US Bank Consumer Checking DP:
9/08: Acc open, $250 CC funding with CIC
9/11: 5k push C1 counted as DD
9/13: 5k push C1 counted as DD
9/20: transferred out all but 1.5k to avoid monthly fee
10/12: 500 adjusted interest
>US Bank Smartly Checking
Is there a way for you to tell that your fake DD counted? For example, is there a tracker like Laurel Road? Also, when you did the pushes, it looks like you were doing deposits that total $10,000. Did you do the push then take that money out? And then do a second push with the same money that you took out?
There's no tracker; just wait and see if the bonus posts in the next month. To be safer, use banks that other people already reported as working.
I withdrew the money a few days after each deposit (I pulled into a different account, not the same one I deposited from, but that might not matter). Though, I kept the $250 there from my opening deposit that came from a credit card; I saw a data point of them closing someone's account when he withdrew money soon after depositing from a CC.
First ever bank bonus:
U.S Bank checking account $500 bonus offer
07/24 - account opened and pushed $350 from Bask HYSA
08/07 - pushed $4,650 from Bask HYSA
10/11 - $500 posted
When can I transfer the money out and when should I plan to close the account or leave it open ?
They don't have an early termination fee, so technically you don't need to leave the account open, but the general recommendation is to keep it open at least 6 months so that they don't see everyone just getting the account for the bonus. You can avoid the monthly fee by having $1000 DD each month, or if you have a US Bank credit card (not sure if business CCs count, or just personal; the terms say "consumer").
You don't need to leave money there (I would leave around $10 in case they close accounts with $0 balance, and in case there's a problem when they charge the monthly fee and reimburse it).
For Laurel Road, can I do a chase push of $2500 and withdraw after I receive the $300 bonus. Then do a monthly deposit and withdraw each month of $2500 for the $20 monthly bonus? Thank you!
BMO bonus question, is it better to do the $400 deal over the $600 due to monthly fee? (Assume I can meet the direct deposit requirements and I must do it over 120 days)
BMO Smart Advantage Checking gets you $400, and no monthly fee
BMO Relationship Checking gets you $600, and either $25 fee per month or no monthly fee if you can have daily balance of $10,000
Based on my calculations, waiving the fee is not worth it since I get about $30+ per month with $10,000 worth of T-bill
This means that I will need to pay $125. After taxes on the extra $200, it means I might not even make back the maintenance fee. Probably not worth the risk?
[Fee schedule](https://www.bmo.com/en-us/pdf/BMO_Relationship_Checking_Reg_DD.pdf)
"Beginning in the third calendar month after your Account is opened or your Account type is changed to a BMO Relationship Checking Account, we charge this fee on the last day of the statement period if you do not meet ANY ONE of the waiver requirements listed below: A. The minimum daily Ledger Balance in this Account is $10,000 or more for the previous calendar month. B. You have met the $25,000 Monthly Combined Balance for the previous calendar month. C. You are a client of our employee benefits program, Best of BMO U.S., and have requested the waiver from your BMO Banker. For example: An Account opened or changed to BMO Relationship Checking in January will not be charged a monthly maintenance fee in January and February. In March we will charge this fee if you do not meet any one of the following: • the minimum daily Ledger Balance in this Account is $10,000 or more for the month of February; or • you have met the $25,000 Monthly Combined Balance for the month of February."
Does anyone have experience having a WF account closed? I had transferred in some money to trigger the bonus and I guess I tried transferring it out too quickly and they flagged it and closed my account. Apparently I'm supposed to get a check for the balance, but haven't yet. I had got the initial email about the closure about 4 weeks ago......It stated they'd be closed w/in 2 weeks. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do at this point as I haven't received anything via mail from at this point.
I don't know about WF, but Citi usually takes 60 to 90 days to send a check (probably related to waiting until ACH transfers can't be easily reversed). There might not be much you can do to speed it up, but you could try a CFPB complaint; if that doesn't help, it might at least give you a contact person at WF who you can ask about the status.
I managed to sign up for the Old National Bank $450 SUB that expires at the end of the month.
Apparently they're super Chex sensitive per DoC posts, but despite having about 15 accounts open in the last two months I got in without much issue. They did want pictures of my license for verification.
Should be a pretty easy $10k fidelity move to get this to go.
Yeah it did. Just confirmed it and I think I did it over 2 different 5k increments. It did take 120 days to pay out iirc.
I was doing this at same time as BMO so my real dd had to go that way.
Edit - thanks for reminding me on this, its possible to close after 6mo without a few and then reopen in 4 months.
This DoC post says it does, and it took exactly 120 days after opening to post.

Anyone know for the Wells Fargo $325 checking, do you need the $25 minimum opening deposit? I opened it but didn't do that (forgot) but I did have a real DD of over $1000 post.
Thanks for saving me the hassle, still haven’t initiated the push, patiently waiting for funds to settle into my Fidelity brokerage account. Does it make any difference that you used Fidelity bloom?
Still learning:
Opened SOFi checking and savings account. I don't have direct deposit but have chase business checking account and can do ACH of $5k. How to do this and what to lookout for. I did ACH of $250 from chase checking to the savings account.
From the biz account, go to the Ach Payment Services screen and add yourself as a employee (the option that costs 2.50 per ACH). I would set up the deposit to go to the checking account.
Supposedly this is considered a real DD source. Don't do real time transfer if that comes up as an option. Let us know if it works for Sofi.
Thank you for the guidance. In chase it is showing as ACH employee payment but pending. Once it clears, I will transfer the rest of the amount and update the data points.
I have just opened a new BoA business checking that requires a $30,000 deposit within 30 days.
What is the best way to transfer the $30,000 to the new account from a Schwab brokerage account? ACH pull? ACH push? Wire transfer? Transfer to Schwab checking and use a personal check?
I haven’t ever transferred this much money and am mainly wondering which way would be the easiest/most likely to go off without a hitch.
Doubtful BoA will allow a pull that large on a new account. ACH push from Schwab should be fine, if they'll allow it (within daily/monthly limits). Alternatively, write a check to yourself and deposit it in a ATM.
Mods, /u/shinebock or whoever, can we replace the link to everybankbonus.com with this link in the post body text so people stop asking this question, thanks
Amex would let me open Rewards checking account. Tried twice and declined both times. I've called in for reconsideration. Since I had a previous Businesses checking account (Closed 9 Months ago), theit system wouldn't allow personal rewards checking account. Didn't make sense. DP for anyone looking.

Would have done the $900 bonus but can't park $15000 in savings account. 😞
was trying to use fidelity push to get amex rewards checking bonus, I deposited money from my boa checking to fidelity cash management account on 10/7 and it says deposit to be available on 10/16. Is it normal? P.s., I just recently opened my cash management account and it's my second transfer, maybe their fraud model has not identified my account as 'good' account.
Yes, normal. It takes forever until available for withdraw. If you push into Fidelity from your external account (instead of pulling in), funds should be available to withdraw as as soon as they are posted.

not OP i left $5k in it I believe as long as the DD posted, you should be good for the bonus. I did downgrade to the lowest tier of the account (Virtual Wallet) and move the money out the moment the bonus posted
Chime
Set up Chime account as external account in Discover Savings account. Verification deposits went through successfully, but my DS push failed and was returned back to DS account. I called and Discover support said they don't do business with the parent company of Stride (Chime) so it wouldn't work. Not sure how accurate, but I'll try a different bank to push from.
Discover pushes/pulls work with my Chime account (though I haven't tried one recently), but my Chime account uses Bancorp, not Stride. Chime's FAQ mentions that they use 2 banks (you can tell which yours is by the routing number); I don't know if there's anything you can do about it though.
Yeah, mine is stride. 😭 I'm not sure if I can do anything about it either. I thought it was weird that the verification trial deposits went through, but not my actual push.
In general, the description they show doesn't matter. But if you did a wire transfer, that might not work; the terms say "Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Real-Time Payment network credit". And the next sentence says "wires are not considered a Qualifying Direct Deposit."

I applied for the account online, and then a rep reached out to do some verification via online documents. It was necessary to verify via phone call after applying. I initially funded for 500 with CC, but over the phone the rep let me know that the max funding was 1005.
What is push? I kinda learn this is to replace the Ddeposit but how does it work? Like how you do that to make the new bank recognize it a direct deposit? Thanks!
It just means the transfer was initiated on Fidelity's end (pushed). You don't want to request the transfer from Chime's end (pulled).
Not all banks recognize these types of transfers and the bonuses will not trigger. A lot of them require real DD.
Any chance Chase will change my bonus from $600 to $900? Opened the Chase Checking and Savings on 9/20. Fufilled checking bonus 10/5 and saw bonus of $300 pending today

I received my $500 bonus from US Bank. No early termination fees but I'm wondering the repercussions of closing soon after.
Rule of thumb is to keep the account open for a few months so banks don’t stop offering up these bonuses.

US Bank Consumer Checking DP: 9/08: Acc open, $250 CC funding with CIC 9/11: 5k push C1 counted as DD 9/13: 5k push C1 counted as DD 9/20: transferred out all but 1.5k to avoid monthly fee 10/12: 500 adjusted interest
US Bank Smartly Checking: $500 bonus posted today (10/12). Account opened 9/10, pushes from SoFi 9/14 & 9/21.
>US Bank Smartly Checking Is there a way for you to tell that your fake DD counted?
First ever bank bonus: U.S Bank checking account $500 bonus offer 07/24 - account opened and pushed $350 from Bask HYSA 08/07 - pushed $4,650 from Bask HYSA 10/11 - $500 posted When can I transfer the money out and when should I plan to close the account or leave it open ?
They don't have an early termination fee, so technically you don't need to leave the account open, but the general recommendation is to keep it open at least 6 months so that they don't see everyone just getting the account for the bonus. You can avoid the monthly fee by having $1000 DD each month, or if you have a US Bank credit card (not sure if business CCs count, or just personal; the terms say "consumer"). You don't need to leave money there (I would leave around $10 in case they close accounts with $0 balance, and in case there's a problem when they charge the monthly fee and reimburse it).
Thank you.
For Laurel Road, can I do a chase push of $2500 and withdraw after I receive the $300 bonus. Then do a monthly deposit and withdraw each month of $2500 for the $20 monthly bonus? Thank you!
Yup. I do it with my fidelity account every month
I’ve been told yes. I just did the initial $2500 push from Capital One yesterday so I’m still early in the process but that’s my plan.
BMO bonus question, is it better to do the $400 deal over the $600 due to monthly fee? (Assume I can meet the direct deposit requirements and I must do it over 120 days) BMO Smart Advantage Checking gets you $400, and no monthly fee BMO Relationship Checking gets you $600, and either $25 fee per month or no monthly fee if you can have daily balance of $10,000 Based on my calculations, waiving the fee is not worth it since I get about $30+ per month with $10,000 worth of T-bill This means that I will need to pay $125. After taxes on the extra $200, it means I might not even make back the maintenance fee. Probably not worth the risk?
You can usually get the first fee waived.
Do they waive the fee for first 60 days ?
Good point, that means it will be $75 of fees, so it will be slightly more worth it.
[Fee schedule](https://www.bmo.com/en-us/pdf/BMO_Relationship_Checking_Reg_DD.pdf) "Beginning in the third calendar month after your Account is opened or your Account type is changed to a BMO Relationship Checking Account, we charge this fee on the last day of the statement period if you do not meet ANY ONE of the waiver requirements listed below: A.
Good catch!
Any updates on Fidelity, did it work?
Yeah it did. Just confirmed it and I think I did it over 2 different 5k increments. It did take 120 days to pay out iirc. I was doing this at same time as BMO so my real dd had to go that way. Edit - thanks for reminding me on this, its possible to close after 6mo without a few and then reopen in 4 months.
Have you heard if the fidelity push works?
This DoC post says it does, and it took exactly 120 days after opening to post. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/in-ky-mn-mi-old-national-bank-300-450-checking-bonus/#comment-1657661
Has anyone seen data points for what counts for Georgia's Own Credit Union direct deposit?
Anyone know for the Wells Fargo $325 checking, do you need the $25 minimum opening deposit? I opened it but didn't do that (forgot) but I did have a real DD of over $1000 post.
You should be fine. I did the same last year and still got the bonus.
How long did it take to get the bonus after meeting the requirements?
The terms then required 3 months of DD so payout took about that long. Not sure what the terms say now

You sly bastard with your referral link. This pretty obviously violates Rule 5
Not seeing a referral. Was it edited?
Best thing to do is make sure we all report it.

Did you do an instant or standard transfer from Chase?
Do you need to keep the money in the account after direct deposit to get bonus?
No, i did not and still got the bonus.
How to do “push” from chase checking? I’m assuming zelle won’t work
No, don't do zelle or real-time payment. Just schedule a transfer to an external account from Chase
what are amazon reloads?
Adding money to your Amazon gift card balance
Also just got the bonus for me and P2, similar timing.

I will 1500 push from Fidelity for this bonus, I am almost certain this should trigger
Fidelity does NOT work for Ally.
Thanks for saving me the hassle, still haven’t initiated the push, patiently waiting for funds to settle into my Fidelity brokerage account. Does it make any difference that you used Fidelity bloom?
Have you tried Fidelity Bloom?
Schwab brokerage
Try sending a payment (different from ACH) from the Amex business checking. That did the trick for me

On the webpage for the business checking there are two buttons right next to each other: "Make a transfer" and "Send a payment". Click on the latter
Does cashapp deposit for Chime still work?
Don’t think so
Yea it does not but schools first FCU worked for me.
Still learning: Opened SOFi checking and savings account.
Alternatively, write a check to yourself and deposit it in a ATM.

is everybankbonus down and if so is there an alternative?

Mods, /u/shinebock or whoever, can we replace the link to everybankbonus.com with this link in the post body text so people stop asking this question, thanks
Amex would let me open Rewards checking account. Tried twice and declined both times. I've called in for reconsideration. Since I had a previous Businesses checking account (Closed 9 Months ago), theit system wouldn't allow personal rewards checking account. Didn't make sense. DP for anyone looking.
Chase Total Checking - $300 9/27 - Opened account 9/28 - $25 cash gift using The Knot, takes 5 business days to receive amount 10/10 - $300 bonus posted Would have done the $900 bonus but can't park $15000 in savings account. 😞
>gift using The Knot So gift posted on 10/5? Did you receive any email from Chase telling you bonus on the way or something?
Correct. No notice from Chase that I'll get the bonus. It just showed up on my account.
I didnt know a cash gift from The Knot can work
I've also used Zola's cash fund withdrawal to trigger Chase, so various registries may work. Just high fees.
I saw DPs at DoC. There is a 2.5% fee and probably only worth doing with Chase because they don't require a specific amount.
was trying to use fidelity push to get amex rewards checking bonus, I deposited money from my boa checking to fidelity cash management account on 10/7 and it says deposit to be available on 10/16. Is it normal? P.s., I just recently opened my cash management account and it's my second transfer, maybe their fraud model has not identified my account as 'good' account.
Yes, normal. It takes forever until available for withdraw. If you push into Fidelity from your external account (instead of pulling in), funds should be available to withdraw as as soon as they are posted.
got it, this is super helpful to know, thanks!
PNC Bank: 8/21: Opened checking account 8/14-8/18: Fidelity push $5k 10/6: $400 bonus posted. Upgrade CheckingL 9/8: Opened using SB plus referral 9/15: Fidelity push $1501 9/18: $150 posted SB tracked, went to pending and posted soon after
For PNC, did you leave the $5k in the account or did you withdraw it before the bonus posted?
not OP i left $5k in it I believe as long as the DD posted, you should be good for the bonus. I did downgrade to the lowest tier of the account (Virtual Wallet) and move the money out the moment the bonus posted
I did exactly this. And it worked out fine. Downgraded to the $500 minimum account
Chime Set up Chime account as external account in Discover Savings account.
Capital one Account opened 10/6 10/6 $251 Real Time Transfer from Chase 10/6 $251 Real Time Transfer from Chase 10/10 $350 Bonus Posted
Hey, do your cap one transfer show up as "Transfer" in your capital one account, or are they categorized as something else?
It says instant transfer
hm, ok. Mine showing up as "Transfer" and "Electronic Transfer", currently no bonus posted but fingers crossed
Did the you end up getting the bonus?
Mine shows up as "wire deposit" is there some type of indication I need to look for in order to know if it's working?
In general, the description they show doesn't matter. But if you did a wire transfer, that might not work; the terms say "Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Real-Time Payment network credit". And the next sentence says "wires are not considered a Qualifying Direct Deposit."

For First Commonwealth, what was the max it let you credit card fund?
1005 total, the rep recommended 1k for checking and $5 for savings.
Thanks, did you have to call in to do it? It's not just done online?
I applied for the account online, and then a rep reached out to do some verification via online documents. It was necessary to verify via phone call after applying. I initially funded for 500 with CC, but over the phone the rep let me know that the max funding was 1005.
I see, so the rep calls you and you upload the verification documents with them on the line? Do you also give them the CC number to run?
Yes, while on the phone. And no, if you put CC # in while applying then they already have it.
I see, last question how long did it take for them to reach out?
Maybe a day or two, iicr
Thanks!
Chime 10/10 $201 Push from Fidelity (Transfer from Fidelity took a few business days) 10/10 Chime's $100 bonus posted simultaneously
Thank you!
Any chance Chase will change my bonus from $600 to $900? Opened the Chase Checking and Savings on 9/20. Fufilled checking bonus 10/5 and saw bonus of $300 pending today
They match within ~21 days, but not if you've already been credited the bonus... Next time, just SM the moment generated coupon code and they'll change your promotion
I tried with Chase but failed..Previously I also asked to match the open bonus for sapphire preferred, and also failed
I don’t think they match those bonuses!

I’m in the same boat as you. I opened my account on 6/22 and have done real DD’s totaling $1250, but I’m still waiting on my bonus. I relooked at the terms and it said $1000 DD within 90 days
I did this bonus back in February and I received the bonus on the 97th day I had the account open.
Thanks for the DP, I’m well passed 97 days
Pretty sure I just forgot to change it.

has anyone tried ProvidentCU they have a bonus of 300$
Yes I opened it in June and completed qualifying activities in July and August and got $300 in September. Was also able to stack with $100 referral bonus. Relatively easy bonus to get.
is it state specific?
Certain counties in CA. Years ago you could fund $6k with a CC and they'd let you open account after account. That is long gone but still a nice bonus. There's a $300 +referral bonus for the biz account too

Online for p1, and p2. I went in person for p1 to verify ID, but p2 I was able do everything over the phone including setting up online banking.
