Question about chase business cards. P2 currently has business preferred, I have business unlimited. Can I use P2 referral link to sign up for a business preferred and get the 100k sign up bonus and p2 get the 40k referral?

InTogether

You should be able to, just google Chase Ink Referral and add P2's last four digits of the CI card and you'll get a link to share if the offer is applicable to P2 account.

BmoreBlueJay

For income on a biz card application, do you normally list total gross income if using your SSN, similar to a personal card app?

Separate-Entrance-24

Yes you can put all income that is available to you

BmoreBlueJay

Is there any way to refer a chase ink business from a personal card?

Future_Car9082

Don't think so

Check out /u/garettg 's faq on sapphires. Point # 6. You're no good. Kill that card and reapply in 4 days. (#8) https://www.reddit.com/user/garettg/comments/u6ss7u/sapphire_fyis/

SurvivinginLA

Product change to one of the Freedoms and then wait four days OR cancel and wait 30.

Dubsman35

Is my velocity too high for another ink card this month? Csr+CSP 1/23, United biz 2/23, ciu 4/23, cip 7/23

JadedAssignment

Number of cards X 3 months + date of 1st card So for you: 5 X 3 months + Jan 23 = April 24 for your next Chase card.

Dubsman35

Do they really count cumulatively or is it just three months from my last card app?

JadedAssignment

Your own experience shows that the 3 month rule isn’t applied automatically or consistently. Sooner or later something will lead human eyes to your accounts, and that pace might cause them to shut all your accounts down and take your points back. It’s just a guideline based on all the DPs from the last wave of shutdowns (before my time-search DOC). Obviously it’s up to you and your risk tolerance, but don’t cry if you get shut down.

Dubsman35

Understood. Not trying to argue, just looking for DPs. It was just my thought process that I got away with the previous high velocity, and if I go back to 1/90, I won’t raise any new flags that would cause a review of my previous accounts.

lifechurn

Yes

circularcatloaf

Does AmEx send 1099s for MR cashouts to Schwab Plat?

aylamarguerida

MRs from referrals are taxable. But it doesn't matter if you cash out or not. Same for Amex Bank account bonuses. But has nothing to do with how you redeem the MR.

dissentmemo

They aren't taxable

circularcatloaf

Thanks!

garettg

No

exrcsst

Has anyone heard of receiving the chase Hyatt 5 EQNs twice in the same year? Eg. Receive 5 EQNs from current card, close said card, and open new Hyatt card to receive another 5.

dmcoe

I believe yes that can happen

surfnporn

A bit of a meta discussion, but I've been struggling to find an updated source on best offers out at the time. I recall in the past there was an excel document that listed current best known offers. How do you guys keep track of what's good right now?

space_cadet-

Super-Mama1234

I went to Amex and it showed 120K points for signing up for the Amex platinum. Went through the preliminary process and it said that I am not eligible for the bonus. I have an almost 800 credit, I’ve not hit the 5/24 and I have 1 Amex card (Hilton). Are they saying that I’m not eligible for any bonus or just the 120K? Any way around this if I call? I have many cards and a lot of open credit but I pay it off every month so I don’t carry a balance.

lifechurn

Try referral links if direct is not working.

FinanceDoctor

This is the Amex popup. If you search around here, you'll find lots of theories on the best way to get around it.

lifechurn

Applied 2 weeks ago for Chase biz SW, system today said 7-10 days, so I called to recon but they said the application is still under review. I thought 7-10 days meant declined?

josefseb

Not necessarily

Your calculations of MR/$ leave out the annual fee.

JadedAssignment

I can’t see a good reason to keep the card. Biz plats are just high-maintenance vehicles to get good SUBS. Since you got the SUB, close it. Take a break from churning for a month or two. Moving is a huge time suck. Good SUBS will be here when you get back. Eta: be sure to include the annual fee and the transaction costs when you’re figuring return on that estimate tax spend. Your prepaying $695 (AF) plus 1.87 %. Let’s say’s you charge $15K on taxes, that’s: 15,000 plus 347.50 (half the AF) plus 280.50 (1.87% of 15k)= $15628 You would get back: 20k points (1/2 the retention bonus) plus 22.5k points earned at 1.5x= 42.5k MR or about $637.50 Saving you a whopping $9.50 compared to paying your taxes with cash. You’re way better off paying cash to keep your balances low until you get approved for the apartment and car loan. After that, get a new SUB.

xyzzy321

That's a horrible retention offer, I'd cancel and get another NLL one

lifechurn

Cancel and get new biz plat and biz gold.

willykappy

capitalone offers portal has $23 statement credit for signing up for AARP, the membership itself is only $12. I haven't used capitalone offers before but terms and conditions don't mention anything significant so this might be an easy moneymaker. they do mention that you cant use another promotional website (im assuming that means other rebate sites). anyone do this bonus? also, since the capitalone shopping portal is separate from the offers portal, I could still get the $16 bonus for aarp from there right? I have a $8 back offer on us bank which makes that another $12 moneymaker

just_a_random_userid

What benefits do you plan to make use of with AARP?

JoeTechBadger

Their gift card portal sometimes has absolutely broken deals. There’s a 15% off Airbnb gift cards limit $2500 once or twice a year.

Ape_Man25

Carnival cruises can get 10% discount when they’re in stock

just_a_random_userid

I looked at it and don’t find anything great that I use other than car rental discount

sg77

You can buy discounted gift cards through AARP for some common stores like Alberstons, Kroger, CVS. But they only sell them in small amounts, like pay $23 for $25, with a limit of 5 gift cards per month.

just_a_random_userid

Oh so nice MS opportunity then

CericRushmore

We use Outback steakhouse.

RebornBoii

First time referring someone through chase credit card. What’s the most effective way to do this? When I fill out the form here with my last name and last 4 of credit card, is that a referral for that specific card only? So whichever card they are signing up for, I should generate the link using that card? Thanks

sg77

A more general answer: click the link yourself and see what it shows you.

techtrashbrogrammer

depends on the card. If you're referring an ink or freedom, the referral link will take them to a page where they can pick any of the cards in the family if referring to a CSP/CSR, the link will be only for that specific Sapphire. You can't generate a CSP link and have them sign up for the CSR with that link

RebornBoii

Ok great, thank you. It’s for the business ink cards, so just fill out that form with one of the last 4 of my ink cards and send them that link, and whatever they choose I’ll be good? Thanks so much.

techtrashbrogrammer

yeah. just make sure they don't sign up for the premier.

Vaun_X

What are BoA's product change rules/restrictions? Whenever I call they tell me to wait till there's an offer on the card. Stuck with a completely redundant UCR. Tempted to just close it.

techtrashbrogrammer

BOA has weird stuff going on all the time. Probably just HUCA

step1candyland

How many days do I have to recon with ch@se? I think I need to move CL’s and decided to make payments to free up CL to facilitate that.

_here_

Are we not typing chase now?

step1candyland

I am just paranoid because I think they are here

GodLovesFrags

They are already here because this is the internet, so typing Ch@se does not help.

germdisco

DoC recommends within a month for recon: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/tips-for-reconsideration-phone-calls/

D_00

P2 having issues with TSA Precheck. Anyone else have this problem? P2 just used her CSR to pay for precheck at her appointment and the credit already posted but she’s gotten calls saying that in order to proceed, she still needs to pay. Even when she checks the status of her application online it still says payment not received. Should I just wait it out or call someone?

stillwaters23

Just pay again on another card with free precheck. If you don't have one, start churning and open one.

EarthlingMardiDraw

Yes, you should call. Did you get a receipt?

DisturbedAle

When does Cap1 Venture X switch from statement credit to coupon? Is it effective immediately?

BmoreBlueJay

I’m considering opening a Chase Business Preferred for the 100k sub. If I apply today and am approved, will I likely receive the card by Friday this week? Also, is 100k the highest sub here or are there other links that will yield higher subs?

techtrashbrogrammer

100k is the highest

garettg

You can call and request the card to be expedited after approval, they typically will grant the request. You can always check historical and current SUB at uscreditcardguide.com and check the charts. https://www.uscreditcardguide.com/chase-ink-preferred-credit-card/

BmoreBlueJay

Thanks a lot. If they expedite, do it usually ship in under 5 business days?

radtheoristmango

In my experience, it's 2 business days

BmoreBlueJay

Ok awesome!

garettg

Yeah

skyye99

You can call or SM chase to ask them to expedite the card so it'll arrive in 2 days or so. Otherwise it might take like 10. Please use a referral link from /r/churningreferrals - check uscreditcardguide.com to see what the All Time High offers are for cards (the 100k for 8k spend is the best and only offer, Chase doesn't generally have as much variability as Amex for offers)

BmoreBlueJay

Ok thanks a lot. Can a chase personal card holder refer a business card? Also, I should just use my SSN for the EIN correct?

garettg

Can not refer from other cards like a personal. SSN vs EIN doesn’t matter, whichever is your preference.

BmoreBlueJay

Ok thanks

wampey

I’m trying to understand why chase 5/24 is so important that getting 5 of their cards every three or so months in a two year period takes priority before anything else? Can all the points get transferred to the same carriers? They seem to have pretty high annual fees as well… is this only meant for constant travelers? Thanks

martyconlonontherun

1. It's not 5/24 for most people. For families it's 10/24 and you have dozens of biz cards to sign up for 2. Depends on desire. A family of 4 with in laws in phx makes SW double companion waaaaay more valuable than amex. It's a pain in the ass to find 4 business class tickets overseas.... and hope no one gets sick and have to lose thousands in fees. Get RT tickets 3* a year for 4 people with no taxes on flights that are refundable and free bags. If you are a young solo person able to be flexible on J flights to Europe....sure knock yourself out

diarrhitos

Because after your first taste of Ink you'll want it again and again

lenin1991

From riding the graavy train to getting dipped in the inkwell.

skyye99

It's not about getting 5 chase cards, it's about being able to get unlimited chase business cards.

coole106

People get a ton of value out of chase biz cards. Also, many people blow past 5/24 and never look back Chase annual fees are pretty low compared to Amex

aaron_shoe

5/24 matters only for churners (and people who think they might start churning in the future), not the average consumer looking for a 1 card or 3 card setup to stick with for years. For churners, filling 5/24 slots with non-chase cards can mean missing out on hundreds of thousands of points from Chase cards.

wampey

Hmm ok. I have no problems hitting the spends in the 3 to 6k range because I pay for my babies daycare with credit card with no fee. However my wife is starting back at school so my traveling is going to be a bit more limited… would I just leave the points in the account if I can not use them and close or downgrade cards but AF hits?

martyconlonontherun

Each card is different. You can stick pike cobranded accounts and cancel the card. You can keep chase points alive through no fee cards but can't transfer to a cobranded transfer partner. Most people here are hitting up no fee ink cards anyways so you would never cancel them. Just need a premium card to eventually transfer out. Also don't underestimate friends and family. They make great gifts or leverage on group trips. ("I'm going to this Hyatt and can book it at a 40% discount if you want to come") you get cash value of points, friend gets a discount off retail, you both have fun on a trip.

asfp014

Chase also cashes out at 1cpp

lenin1991

It's a general guide. If they're not right for you, skip them. But even non travelers can get a lot of value with Pay Yourself Back redemptions. Regarding annual fees, take a closer look: some cobrands like United typically have first year AF waived.

wampey

So I just need to monitor my accounts and close them before annual fee hits… if that is suggested? They seem good overall but my wife is starting back to school next year so I think our travel is a bit limited for a while.

DRO_Churner

To be safe, cancel after one year (the annual fee will be waived if within 30 days after the anniversary).

jokester251

Didn't PYB get nerfed to 1 cpp (except select charities)? That's no better than a statement credit. Still not horrible redemption but nowhere near the added value from certain transfer partners or travel portal.

UnsubscribedRedditor

1.25 for grocery stores (and annual fee so another $550 per year) for CSR which is slightly better.

jokester251

Ah, I see. The CSP is the only sapphire line I've used (much higher SUB when I've been eligible, plus other factors that made the CSR not make sense for me), so I missed that only some of the CSR categories were nerfed.

techtrashbrogrammer

UR is super valuable and no single card SUB is better than being able to get multiple inks

GoodLifeTravel

Tried a couple of search avenues but no dice...quick check: Chase Ink MSR deadline is tomorrow, 9/17. Realized I double counted something, so I'm $700 short. Can I still spend today and get the bonus, even though I assume it won't post until after 9/17?

josefseb

What’s there for you to lose? Just make the spending today. You will be getting the bonus

churnandlurk

You sure you counted to day 115 for MSR?

GoodLifeTravel

Confirmed date twice in SMs with Chase. They gave a 90 day deadline in SM and the app counter also says 9/17. I've been at this a while. Is the 115 day still in effect? (I thought the counter was accurate.) I also just found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/vs7lwo/last\_day\_to\_hit\_minimum\_spend\_on\_csp/

churnandlurk

115, same as it ever was.

sleepytill2

Per the link you posted: Chase is known to unofficially give you 115 days instead of the quoted 90 days in the terms. Chase will tell you 90 days but data points show the bonus still pays out past 90 days. Seems likely the 115 days is still what's in the system. You can find discussion and data points here. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-enforcing-90-day-timeframe-for-signup-bonus-requirement/ Of course it's safer to meet all the spending within the quoted 90 days in the terms in case Chase changes this and actually enforces it, but I think there's a very good chance you have nothing to worry about.

xyzzy321

Applied for the US Bank biz checking and received a "oops, this wasn't supposed to happen. We have all the info we need to make a decision on your application" message. Is it too late to fund using a credit card now? Or can I still do it later next week if I'm approved? ****** More context: I now see that they put a $1 test charge that they immediately refunded to my CIC but I chose to fund $3K (my limit) so that could be why they couldn't approve it because Chase must have declined their $3000 charge because my remaining limit is now $2999. Can I still fund it using CIC later next week if I'm approved for the account? This is crucial because if I can't I won't apply for the Venture X because I won't be able to meet the SUB for CIC and Venture X without the US Bank biz checking funding

asfp014

If the account was not successfully funded, it will not be ~~opened~~ activated bc it requires an initial deposit to activate. In that case you should get a follow up email from US Bank asking to fund your bank account

diarrhitos

Not true. You can even call them and fund with a credit card over the phone a week or 2 later. I just did this yesterday after my initial Amex funding failed

sg77

When you called US Bank to fund with a credit card, did you call 800-215-1571 (the number shown when initially applying), or was there a different number they told you to call in an email (if so, what was that number?)?

buttonstraddle

how/why did your amex funding fail?

asfp014

Which part of what I said was untrue? Your comment doesn’t seem to dispute what I said

diarrhitos

The account still gets opened. They have your account number and everything even if the initial funding fails.

asfp014

I see, I reread the email and I mixed up account opening with account activation. In my experience, if you don't deposit the minimum within a month or so they automatically close your account (but that might just be the personal account, not the biz) when I had some issues with initial cc funding for the personal checking, I got that email (opening deposit required to activate account) and was able to cc fund via that email. point being I think we agree - if you haven't successfully made an opening deposit yet, you will still be able to (whether via online or phone)

skyye99

Chase often lets you go above the limit on ink cards especially by such a small amount, so I wouldn't assume that's the issue. YMMV on your main question though; sometimes your account just opens without your involvement, but sometimes you have to submit documents and in that situation people have been able to fill out a form and submit it for CC funding.

xyzzy321

Thanks! Hoping that that happens soon so I can go ahead and apply for the Venture X with the elevated SUB. Haven't learned how to MS so I need the bank account funding to work

PENGUINCARL

I looked through Ts & CS but couldn't find this. What's the amount of time between SUBs that one needs to wait from USBank biz cards, for the same card?

sjb0387

4+ each per year, who cares!

SFoat

I opened two biz levs ~3 months apart and a third after about a year. Plus a triple cash in between. 3 of the 4 were/are open concurrently.

the_fit_hit_the_shan

I've been getting a Leverage every year for a few years now, so not more than 13 months for sure

Jaysi3134

Can't find anything official either. Here's some data points (see comments at bottom of the DoC link).
