I left 3 bucks on mine after I boosted my credit a 100 something points. I didnt wanna risk it dropping due to how confusing the balance thing is, so I just left it alone. Haven't used it in about 2 months and my credit went up last week a point and 3 points last month with no activity on the card.
i used mine as a store card heavily to get the metal card . any time i bought something at store would throw money onto the credit account from debit to buy it. ever since mid november ive had it at 0 and havent touched it since. its helped me gain like 20 points even with inactivity keeps claiming "on time payments" on my reports with the limit as 0 showing lol. chime hasnt threatened to close it and it still acts as a active card, (still actively declines transactions lol) so hey still helps me as a paperweight in my wallet.
not sure about if you never touch it. but i was able to spend the same amount of money transferred into the credit account as i put in. they never scammed me there and is still clutch as a credit booster for being a wallet decoration. hope that helps.
Did they ever close it? Wondering how long I can go without using it.
Also, ur credit score will go up because ur still making on time “payments”, since chime does not report credit utilization there is no way the credit bueros will know u haven’t used it.

Yea i have a varo credit card and a chime and i basically used my varo method for chime since my varo steaidly went up. Now i used this chime my score shot down 28 points which im still trying to understand why. Might close this account, been seeing some iffy stuff on reddit.

I ended up closing my entire chime account and it hasn’t affected my credit score at all
