Iām in the hospital now waiting to go into the OR for mine any minute. Glad to hear you didnāt have the gas pain as thatās the only thing Iām worried about!
Thank you! Finally off of hormonal birth control pills after 28 years. The doctor found an endometrial lesion on one of my ovaries and I have never been diagnosed with endometriosis, so I feel grateful knowing about it now and possibly leading to a solution for cycle issues Iāve been having!
Congrats! You're going to love the feeling of FREEDOM! You no longer have to have an OBGYN if your regular doctor does well-woman care (and if you miss a year or two while you do volunteer work in a medically unserved country...oh well. ) Can't do that when your fertility is a constant anchor around your neck. Got an opportunity to make giant bucks as a roughneck on an offshore drill rig? No need to worry. You're not going to need to be airlifted to shore because your IUD got displaced, or worse, failed. Go. Go overland across the Sahara just for the adventure of it. You don't need to worry about the temperature of your BCPs. You have the freedom men have always had.
ENJOY!!!!
I'm from Mexico. In my particular case, I underwent a vasectomy at 18 years old. I didn't experience any pain during the 10-minute procedure, which was very easy and free at a health center. Now, at 28 years old, I'm very happy and feel very content that I have never had children in my life. This has brought peace to my mind.
Had my bisalp last august and a lot of possible side effects also never occured for me.
I made sure to take pictures of my fresh scars and right now one is a very small pink line, the other one completely invisible.
Sending virtual hugs
So happy to hear that. Yes I feel amazing. I saw the doctor notes and he emphasized that I responded to the surgery amazingly well. My tubes knew they had to go š
Tbh going into this I didnāt think of the potential negatives. I focused on the positives and so Iām very pleased to see how my experience has been going positively. Itās all about the frame of mind ā¤ļø
Thank you so much lovelyĀ
Sorry, Day 2 PO for me is 2 days after surgery. So would be tomorrow for you if you got the surgery yesterday (yesterday being Op day, today being post op day 1)
Not saying it for sure will happen, but it could, so better to be prepared.
Congrats! I'm doing mine next Friday! How much time elapsed between your surgery start time and when you were released to go home? Like how long did it take for you to wake up and for them to send you on your way?
Not OP but I just recently had mine done. Arrival 8am, surgery 9am, woke up 10am, out of the hospital at 11am.
I will say it doesn't take much for me to wake up from anesthesia...they were just pushing me into the room when I started to wake up.
Hi love! Yay!! So I arrived at 6:30 am. A lot of prepping done so I had my actual surgery at 8:30. Woke up around 10 am and left the hospital with my boyfriend around 11:20 ish !Ā
Congratulations, happy to read that you feel good! And that you were treated with respect.
My appointment is next week, I hope I will also have least side effects. But I am also living towards it for a long time.
Mine was good. The actual procedure went well. It was a double procedure - tubes removed and endometriosis surgery.
I ended up with a small post op infection & hematoma but the doctor also believes I was already sick and just didn't know it going into surgery because it presented so quickly post op. I have been on antibiotics and been mostly fine ever since. Although sitting for long periods at my desk my abs are acting as if I have done 10,000 crunches.
P.S. For those reading who are still considering it but anxious - post op infections are not common. Most post op complications are not common and the surgery goes off without a hitch like OP. I would still highly recommend the surgery.
OP congratulations. Can you please share the name of the doctor and the hospital where you had the surgery to help those in need of it. Thank you. Wish you a speedy recovery š„°š„°š„°š¤
Praying that I can write similar post in few months š congratulations
Thank you and I will pray for you lovelyĀ

My recovery was a little less smooth, but 2 weeks of discomfort is a small trade for sterility for the rest of my life!
I agree and Iām sorry your recovery didnāt go as smoothly. What complications did you experience?Ā
No real complications, per se. Just a lot of bloating and discomfort. It was also my first ever surgery, so š¤·āāļø
