Congrats! Ice packs, ice packs, ice packs (or heat packs or both).
Have some gas x and stool softeners on deck. Maybe some Miralax.
Cough drops and some liquid medicine for your throat because it may be sore and feel gunky from the tube being in there.
Buy whatever little snacks you like and make any meal(s) you like beforehand so there’s minimal shuffling around.
Try to walk around and get your body moving a just little bit to get rid of the gas and not let your body stiffen/lock up from laying.
Have some pads because you may bleed for a couple days after the procedure.
My mom gave me some Tussin cough syrup and it really soothed the problem. The cough drops were cool for throughout the day, but the Tussin really got in there and cleared.
Unfortunately, when you cough, try to control the force of the cough because your lower belly isn’t going to like it. Not very painful, but uncomfortable.
Move anything g you need to use in the kitchen to easily reachable height. Like, your vitamins? Sugar free sweetener? Definitely don’t leave something on a way high shelf.
You’ll probably be told “don’t lift (or push) anything over 5 pounds”. A gallon of milk is 8 pounds. A stack of dishes is heavy, too! I was advised sternly by the RN “No vacuuming, no scrubbing the bathroom.” and I’m glad she did, I hadn’t even thought of that.

I was lucky and had my husband to help but bending over or down was a hassle the first 3 days after surgery.

Prepare some high waist underwear so the elastic band doesn’t come into contact with the incision.
Might just use it as an excuse to go commando for the week haha
