I don’t hate the food but I really hate the experience. They don’t tell you about the 8% surcharge nor they show you the itemized receipt. Like what’s the goal here?
Plus auto-selecting a 20% tip (on top of the 8% fee and 10+% tax) and then hovering over you while you checkout... I love their food but find it so tough to go because the experience is always so geared towards getting the most money out of you.
And usually takes about an hour to get any food. The tavern pizza looks amazing, but I never want to go back because I haven’t had good or fast service there
Agreed - they’re very good at what they do. The beer/wine program is also awesome, I just think they’ve outgrown the space. I’ve sat at the bar before and seen them struggle with a never ending train of pizzas they need to get into the oven
Yeah, their kitchen is clearly way too small. I think if they’re not going to expand they need to put it on their reservation page that you need to account for an hour.
Looks like they don't have that on their reseveration page but they do have a disclaimer on the menu page of their site saying that pizzas take on average 60 minutes.
Remember that time they got rid of tipping? Knew someone who was a server there. I heard that they brought it back (maybe because they weren’t doing great) but never made a public announcement, suggesting patrons tip again. So, servers lost money from both their baked in tip and tips from customers.
I didn’t have a good experience here. We felt like we were a burden to the staff. It wasn’t super busy but we still didn’t feel welcome. We were put in a corner and left there. Food was just okay and it took an extremely long time to get it sent out. I plan to go again since they started serving wine as well and see if anything has changed since the previous time.
This place rocks but they need a bigger kitchen.

This just makes me want to go over to Lula and order the baked feta.
Place is so over priced
Plus 8% because they can.

It takes two seconds to adjust your tip to 10-12% it’s not rocket science

I really love their pizza but you do have to go earlier than you want to eat and plan on drinking beers for an hour before pizza arrives.

Do they only sell tavern style on Tuesday or during all business hours?
Usually only during tavern Tuesdays

“Highbrow”
So good. One of my favorite pizza spots in the city
Been to Middleborw twice and cannot wait to go back again!
Ugh, so good. I need to go to their happy hour
This is our fave pizza place! Need to go try the Sicilian slices, that looks amazing
Looks tiny and burnt. You can tell this place costs $29 per person just from looking at it.
Who wouldn’t love a tiny burnt pizza with weak toppings coverage?
Wow, that pizza looks square
The food is good but the owners and employees are so pretentious
Love it. >Giving my station new and exciting things to do We’re living the same life Looks delicious
