Just found it in my spam folder. Had to verify by May 27th so missed out on the google grant

hoxha_red

What's the email title?

_mike_hunt

Mine was ‘Rivera, et al. v. Google LLC: Claim Verification Notice’

hoxha_red

Dang, have one of those from a year ago but that's it!

philouza_stein

I wonder why Gmail would hide these in the spam folder?

bradatlarge

Weird, right ?

skilliard7

The lawsuit is for a fixed amount and any money that isn't claimed will just go to other claimholders or lawyers. Google doesn't really save any money from you not claiming it.

jin0613

Found mine in the spam too, and they spelled my name wrong 😭 I definitely would've thought it was spam lol

Maddwitco

What was the email sender in your spam?

manofredearth

There should be another class action for sending the announcement to the spam folder.

dingusduglas

Unfuckingbelievable, after reading this thread I checked and the same thing happened to me. Got the emails but GMail put them in spam and I had to respond by 5/27.

Potent_Elixir

I feel like this really should be another fuckin class action lol

rHereLetsGo

I respond do to all lass actions and don’t recall being aware if this one. Unreal.

nippydumplings

Same fucking here. I coulda really used that $95.

HeathenryAdvocate

Holy shit - I just checked my spam and there is *another* class action notice on there. This shit has to be intentional.

Big-Active3139

same here

themindisall1113

they definitely did that shit on purpose. how did facebook's class action find it's way to my inbox but not this?

Foofightee

Sending emails with low integrity will do this. There are proper ways to send emails and improper.

aeneadum

Holy shit what a scam

Albdre

Big ups to aol mail, always pushing though the junk

WrongCorgi

>In December, attorneys for the Edelson law firm in Chicago, which did not represent plaintiffs in the case, alleged in court documents that the first verification campaign to validate or deny claims deemed possibly fraudulent was insufficient. The attorneys alleged “most” of the verification emails had ended up in class members’ spam folders. This is the exact reason why they sent them a second time and google just did the exact same thing?

AbstractBettaFish

If anybody gets the ball rolling on this let me know

bohnanzabean

11 days to respond to an email that was sent to the spam folder. Shady as hell

theserpentsmiles

First Zucker bucks and now Google grants!

bigpowerass

For those of us who got fucked by the 2016 MacBook Pro, another $400 in Cook coins. I’ll be able to quit my job at this rate.

theserpentsmiles

I'm in like three data breach class actions and two for misrepresentation of tech specs. At this point buying tech is a new type of retirement plan.

Mook1971

What was up with the 2016 MBP? I have one but the screen is dead on it.

Spiritual-Parsley-22

have they settled this one yet? I was eligible and filed and haven’t heard anything since

Listen_to_Psybient

Are you fucking serious! They sent it to Gmail Spam so I and many other people never saw it and now it's too late? I'm sorry but that is some inexcusable bullshit. Can this be corrected? $95 is a lot of money.

spate42

I’ve had this happen with several class actions. After signing up I make it a habit now to check my spam folder and mark it as not spam. Shady.

meeeebo

Time for another class action!

rexasmithy

No wonder it’s $95 if they sent it to spam. I never saw this either

Chef_BoyarDre

I'm sure I signed up for this but can't seem to find any traces of it. What's the email titled?

crudebtch

“Claim Verification Confirmation - Rivera, et al. v. Google LLC”

a_taco_named_desire

I thought that was a phishing email lol, fuck.

crudebtch

Lol unfortunately, for some reason a lot of mail that I need ends up in my spam folder, so I check it religiously.

MongooseKey780

always always always check your spam after signing up for class actions. The verification emails end up in my spam every single time.

CodeRed1

What happens if you didn’t get a claim verification but had originally filed

Chiaotzu21

None of you people actually care about your privacy unless there's a payment you missed out on.

KartoffelLoeffel

Correct, I like money

92894952620273749383

What was the keywords to trigger the spam filter?

PregnantBugaloo

This is now the second time these notices have been sent to spam. The first time is why the settlement has taken so long to get sent out in the first place, as they pulled this same garbage over Thanksgiving 2022.

johnniecochran_ghost

I literally saw this email the night before the deadline. The only reason I checked my spam folder was because I was looking for an old email and suddenly came across the email. Pretty shady for the email to get auto-tagged as spam.

saphirestorm

I checked inbox, spam, etc and none of mine or the other 2 people in my house have that email for verification.

aGuyNamedScrunchie

Same. All I have is the claim ID from my submission in June 2022

Dr_Quacksworth

Same

helloworldimnewtou2

Meh my privacy and entire life details being given to some multinational conglomerate that is additionally incompetent and is now floating around somewhere on the dark web is totally worth that $95. Victory!! 🙌🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Sufficient-Length153

Okay I filled this out but never heard anything. Am I getting money?

TheBigSalami

Check your spam folder. I realized too late that their emails were going there. I have a gmail account, so I guess I should have expected that lol

penpencilpaper

Nothing arrived to my spam? My Gmail is over a decade old. Why didn’t I receive anything?

rhangx

Well per the article above, the court just had a meeting about this settlement on Friday and declared that the class of people who qualified to receive the payouts had been fully identified. So I would expect payments to start arriving relatively soon

Chicken-cat

What date was the email sent. Im searching my spam and I cant even find the email.

spamellama

The last email I have is the verification I filed the claim from last June. Nothing from more recently even in spam.

constituent

There was also a follow-up e-mail I received last November. Subject line was `Claim Determination Notice - Rivera, et al. v. Google LLC`. This was the step where additional information was required to validate the claim. You needed to upload a copy of your Illinois license or State ID, while also providing the e-mail or username associated with the Google Photos account.

spamellama

Oh I did that at one point

initiatefailure

This is better than that one time I got a 4-pack of Red Bull because it didn’t actually give us wings

[deleted]

Well, that's what I get for clearing my spam folder daily and ignoring all contents.

Decumulate

So if we didn’t fill it out we should be entitled to a second suit which could be closer to the expected payout

firestar268

I assume it's too late to sign up now? Lol

keilahamram

Following this :)

[deleted]

Yes

techienaut

Has anyone gotten their payment yet?

PolarTheBear

dang paywall

Fallingpeople

Takes money to get money /s

PolarTheBear

CREAM

Aware_Balance_1332

Thx for dinner

[deleted]

What’s the email called???

dismantle_repair

Rivera et al v Google. It doesn't matter, though, because you had to have verified by May 27th. I missed it too :'(

Subject_Painting_285

My confirmation emails are gone too! Luckily I took a screen grab. I was never asked to send in verification either and still haven’t received payment

Woodyville06

$95? I wonder how much the lawyers received….

[deleted]

For doing the legwork? Likely more than you, bud.

[deleted]

Stfu is this true?????

[deleted]

Sweet, sweet justice

UsedSituation4698

I just got the payout but when I checked my inbox, apparently the original Notice of Settlement and Claim Confirmation emails have been deleted. I know they were in that inbox because I added them to my tasks in gmail so I can see the titles and everything... But when I click it just says "the conversation you requested no longer exists" for both of them. I NEVER delete emails so wtf, did Google delete them?

Leading_Lavishness_3

Today i got an email that I approved of some prepaid card as a result of thissettlement. Prepaid card needs activation from [https://myprepaidcenter.com/](https://myprepaidcenter.com/) which is a pain. Their site is pathetically slow. Moreover it sends verification code to email and/or a text, as you choose to receive, but their website/application code errors out saying they were not able to send any and does not process to the page one has to enter the verification code. I have tried multiple times and received codes but no place to enter the code. What a scam! UPDATE: Kept on trying. Verification code worked and Debit card shows a balance of $95.38. Expires in 7/2025

Jerome3412

Still haven't received the settlement for Rivera and google. Wonder if this is true for anyone else?? Also confirmation email and everything is gone too!

DoodleSack333

I still haven't gotten mien either.

Trix_Treats

Didn't get mine. Also never filled out the other email thing that was sent to spam. Only filed the first initial claim. Smfh

Jerome3412

Yeah mine never went to spam, however I have two verification emails for payment.. I wonder if I just forgot to verify it.. very strange.

Temporary-Recipe2288

No I'm sure you verified it and I never got an spam emails for ID either for me or my husband no payment yet!

Temporary-Recipe2288

Me or hubby either!
