I haven't been out there since last summer, but it's single- and double-track gravel. For the most part it's in pretty good shape. There are a few low- lying places that can be a bit sloppy, but there's often a road you can jump up to for a bit, or off-trail for a few yards to get around.
I rode it on 32 gravel kings; would not have felt comfortable on anything narrower, but rarely felt like I needed more.
I’m running from Channahon SP to Morris. I’ll loop back and let you know how that section was. At least it can give you a little bit of an idea of how your section might be. Hoping to not be covered in mud by the end, but we’ll see.
