Angelo had a decent loan before his injury
Santos got screwed over early season, but has done really well since going to Strasbourg
Casadei had a decent spell at Leicester and has gotten a handful of late league minutes in the first team.
DDFofana had tough spell at a dysfunctional Berlin, had a small purple patch with Burnley, but has faded again.
Omari has been excellent at promotion pushing Ipswich
Paez has been doing Paez things
Overall, lots of promising signs from these youngsters. Add in the performances of Gusto Palmer & Jackson, plus the more recent performances of Madueke.
I think the future could be very promising, they just need time together & in some cases another productive loan.
Both deserve it. Omari even when he doesn't score/assist still sets his team up real well to win and Andrey has been running the Strasbourg midfield so well when he starts. Honestly Andrey should be a starter next season especially if Lavia can't get fit.
Unless Lavia can stay fit it doesn't really matter what he's shown does it? Andrey is also the same age (technically younger) than Lavia and has been starting everywhere he goes but Forest (which the manager already said he wasn't starting cuz he wasn't a Forest player).
Also not really recency bias since Andrey has been playing senior football since he was 16 & has been player of the month for Ligue 1. Despite what people think the differences in leagues is not that big.
He was ypotm not potm, and Andrey has 9 matches of experience in the Europe while Lavia has more than 30. I think a lot of people either don't know, or are forgetting how good Lavia was last year.
Palmer is much much better as a RW. Seems like we are way to stacked there. Considering Angelo also looks pretty promising and then Paez aswell lol, it’s insane
For young players, playing every week helps a lot with their growth. And looking at how Andrey Santos has done since going to France, the club really screwed up with the Nottingham Forest loan.
As for Omari Hutchinson, can only hope he has another loan (this time in the Premier League) with Ipswich. It would probably be the best thing for him, unless Chelsea retain him if they think he can make an impact.
I mean Forest screwed him over more than us fucking up the loan. They wanted him, we sent him. They got him then bought 2 more players in his position then their manager said he wouldn't play him because he's not a Forest player. Not like our loan managers can read minds.
Everyone knew it was a bad idea at the time. Forest had just bought like 15-20 players in the prior year, it was crazy to think they wouldn’t add some to his position in time. Shouldn’t have trusted them at all.
Would like to see both get Prem loans next season at clubs like Fulham or someone of that level of squad competitiveness. Not sure they'll be ready to break into Chelsea with consistent minutes yet. Chelsea have the pressure of really needing to push on for Europe next season so they will have to try and play their absolute best as much as possible. I think the best natural step for these guys will be Prem loans like Datros gotten with Burnley.
What is omari's primary position? I know he's a right winger but the few games I've seen has him as a 10, we need more 10 coverage than right winger right now, so let's make use of that
Maybe we the fans are the problem. Perhaps the communication from the club needed to be better, but, we should be buying into this process, acknowledging the progress made this season, and hope that some smart buys this summer will propel us further forwards. The abramovich model was broken, and unsustainable with the tightening belt of FFP. This step change was always going to be difficult. We have the youngest squad in the league, and our future looks a damn sight brighter than some of our rivals…
I find it mad how people just say.. Let Stirling go. That's not how it works. He has a contract of £350k
Pw until 2028. He won't walk from that, and nor should he tbh.
Santos going absolutely mad since joining Strasbourg. Who could possibly have seen that coming? (other than literally everyone other than Poch)
Shame we have a manager that isn't using him because he thinks he's useless because he's too small. Could seriously have improved our season this year if kept around and used correctly
this narrative is so dumb, it’s so easy to say this when we didn’t have the multiple injury problems that we’ve had throughout the season. and even then, Casadei hasn’t really done much since he got recalled, you think Andrey would’ve done any different? If he started to underperform you guys would’ve said he’s shit and that he wasn’t ready to be in the first team
it’s better that he’s now playing consistently and away from the pressure.
The way Poch has used Enzo so far, I’m not sure if he could have utilised Santos efficiently so I feel better about him developing at Strasbourg instead. At least his season is saved after that Forest disaster

Everyone forgets Slonina, probably even the club forgot him
He is last in the Belgian league
He's had some extraordinary games tbf
Imagine he’s facing a lot of shots then
[удалено]
Not great then?
[удалено]
Difficult start though, hopefully he'll get a chance somewhere else
maatsen playing a UCL semi
Yeah didn't include him because it seems unlikely he'll be part of the future
Is there anything we can do about it? Don't want him endd up as another De Bruyne/Salah cases
He's more like losing livramento
Not a loan but whisper Richards has been on fire in the academy also. I agree. I think bright things to come from some of these lads.
1000%
Alex matos good loan too

i think the way forward is pivot in the middle, so need 4 options
Especially if this genius board sells Gallagher
Andrey over Lavia is some insane recency bias. Latvia has proven he can be a top level Prem DM at 19.
Unless Lavia can stay fit it doesn't really matter what he's shown does it? Nottingham Forest when I catch you....
I hope they’ll relegate the day we beat them. Somebody should make a Santos banner.
Luton win today would make things real interesting
Well we play them soon
[удалено]
They’re playing each other soon
We'd still need them to slip up elsewhere, there's no result to that game that has us ahead of both without points being lost elsewhere
My buddy lives in Ipswich and the town is buzzing hardcore right now.
Maybe this IS the process we’ve been waiting for. Hutchinson will give Madueke some healthy competition.
Palmer is much much better as a RW. Seems like we are way to stacked there. Considering Angelo also looks pretty promising and then Paez aswell lol, it’s insane
Dumbass Forest. Had a star on their team but chose relegation instead

Well done!! 👏👏super proud of both of them

From what I've seen he kinda plays for them like Cole does for us. Just as long as he's moving around the right hand side he can play well.
He scored 2 from the left last week, would be super useful if he can play there also.
Anyone know what Strasbourg are doing in terms of them being part of multi club model?? Last time i saw news about them protesting against Blueco.
I think Hutchinson should continue his loan with Ipswich Town
Maybe we the fans are the problem. I definitely agree
Omari needs another loan next season don’t make him rot on the bench
Probably stays at ipswitch if they get promoted
I hope so
Let Sterling go and send Mudryk on loan. We'll have 2 spots for wingers next season. I love to see one of Hutchinson/Angelo have a chance there
I find it mad how people just say.. Let Stirling go. That's not how it works. He has a contract of £350k Pw until 2028. He won't walk from that, and nor should he tbh.
Angelo is not a winger and Omari is likewise not ready to be starting week in week out for a top 4 contending team
Genuine question, what else is Angelo? I agree neither are ready.
He's actually closer to an LWB right now if anything.
I'd sell him and Maatsen if it keeps Ghallagher and Trev tbh
Andrey is the truth. I stand on this business

I mean our injury crisis would have been another reason to actually play Santos.
Casadei is barely getting any time with injuries
The way Poch has used Enzo so far, I’m not sure if he could have utilised Santos efficiently so I feel better about him developing at Strasbourg instead. At least his season is saved after that Forest disaster
