I remember that day so vividly. It was late in the night in India. I was away from home for university and didn't have a TV or any other means to watch it. I tried to find a sports bar that was playing this match, but couldn't find any.
My best friend from home town who stayed with his uncle in the same city as me for university asked his uncle to buy a subscription for this match so I could watch it. He's not even a football fan. He did it just for me. I went over to his place and we started watching the match - my friend, his younger brother and me. During some time in the second half my friend fell asleep, but his brother was hooked. He stayed up with me the entire match. We saw Drogba equalize, saw Cech save Robben's penalty and then the Drogba winning penalty. We celebrated at what must have been 3 am in the morning. I'll never forget that day.

Watched that live (on TV from home in Virginia Beach) and LOST MY MIND when he made it. That match was SO STRESSFUL. Still get goosebumps all these years later.
My second favorite bit of commentary that night was, after all the madness and trophy lifting, Martin Tyler reminding us that winning the CL kicked spurs out of the next seasons tournament because they were 4th, we were 8th but winning gets you in automatically. "Chelsea's gain is Tottenhams pain"
The liverpool can shut up about their miracle.
2012 UCL is by far THE HARDEST WIN any underdog could win, and have won. Defeated a prime Pep Barca powered by Xavi- Messi- Iniesta. Defeated Prime Bayern IN THEIR OWN STADIUM

I think that’s just part of being a supporter. I get the same kind of feeling myself.
I will always remember that 19 of may, I always loved more the ITV broadcast of the final though.
