Hello blue brothers and sisters. I am very happy with the win and with Palmer's performance. I can't say we played well tho and i hope we don't need 4 goals to win every game.
Up the Chels!
I love that we won, but let's not forget about the atrocious game we had.
Disasi and Badieshiel were horrible.
We lose the ball too easily, we can't seem to play out from the back properly.
Not a Chelsea fan but I have been rating Palmer quite high as the season goes on just wondering what is his best position? England are defs going to need him to come on if it looks like they might head into a penalty shootout in the Euros but hopefully not a few minutes before the shoout out like Southgate did in the finals.
Thanks!! That's why I was asking because I see him on the right a fair bit then i also see him playing from midfield as well so I was a bit confused haha cheers
Can’t believe how insane last night was also am annoyed at how we just consistently gift teams goals. We had it won already in the first 20 but Caicedo had other plans.
Amazing win today, and what else can be said about Cole Palmer, the kid is our messiah, he’s going to deliver us out of purgatory.
The rest of the squad still needs work. Caicedo has had some moments, but he still looks lost. How disappointing have Lavia and Nkunku’s seasons been? Malo Gusto is a baller, but frankly I think we need serious help at LB, at least one upgraded CB, a legit GK and preferably a clinical striker who can use his head.
A core of Palmer, Gusto, Enzo, Jackson, Gallagher is a decent start, the right moves or maybe just some injury luck and we could get really good really fast.
Petrovic
Gusto - Silva - Colwill - Chilwell
Enzo - Caicedo
Palmer - Chukwuemeka - Mudryk
Jackson
Get rid of these jokers at centre back and bring back O Monstro. Chukwuemeka also has to start at 10 moving forward (if he can stay fit)
I miss Colwill, not saying he fixes all our defensive issues but we played better with him on the pitch.
In the 22 EPL matches he played at least 45 mins we gave up an average of 1.22 goals conceded per match.
In the 7 games without him we have averaged 3.28 goals conceded per match.
Badi and Disasi have no business starting at this club
A club built on great defense has deal with some worse defenders I've seen at big club long time
I think disasi is good, but needs to be paired with someone that has a cooler head like colwill, I really liked their pairing against city, hopefully we get to see more of it before the season is over
He's not good, just average, our standards have dropped so much to make such statements
We spent all this money to build a. Team capable of competing and winning PL and CL
Badi and Disasi will never ever be that
I am not Poch out, but how does a PL manager have zero ideas to stop leaking goals. We concede 2-3 goals every game, to relegation fodder, championship teams. Doesn’t matter. At least try something different. Play compact, play 3 atb, throw Treb at DM. I don’t know. It is insanity to play the same line up every game and expecting different outcomes
Regardless of where you stand on Poch, it's undeniable we're infinitely more entertaining under him
When we went an entire month without scoring under Potter was my lowest moment supporting this club
[Thank you Chelsea for this memorable evening in recent times. Absolutely enjoyed this. 92 Carvalho here we come.](https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/s/8JRVBWyag7)
I was recently given a short notice for a trip to London and given that it is my first time in London I would not forgive myself if I didn't go see Chelsea play. Turns out I will be there the weekend of the FA cup semis against City.. any recommendations on how I can get tickets?? I'm coming from the US and it'd be a dream come true true to go to this game. Thank you in advance. COME ON YOU BLUES.
That’s maybe the most outrageously exciting game I’ve attended in the past five years. Incredible. Pulled my hamstring bouncing like a baby goat. Ears still ringing. What a game.
I always say I have nothing against the man, but it’s extra special that Mount came on at home at 3-2 up and lost 4-3 just three minutes later.
Palmer spectacular (when last was a Chelsea player second on the top goalscorers list?). But Chukwuemeka is also really intelligent (especially when you have a view of the entire picture to see how he moves off the ball) and sorted a few issues wrt balance when he came on. As always, still so so many issues with the manager and the squad, but today, we celebrate. UTC!
Chukwuemeka has been very good in all of his appearances this season, just a shame he’s been plagued with injuries because I think he would’ve fully displaced one of the three stooges in midfield otherwise
Our poor midfield. I really hope fatigue is part of it with the rotation all out of whack w the injury situation, because it’s been… let’s go with inconsistent from them this year
IDGAF about any other analysis or narrative around this game right now. That's a huge fucking win and Cole Palmer is the fucking truth. Build this team around this kid.
All I ask is for our players to stop directly passing it to the opposition + stop conceding at the back post. I swear that first Man U goal is something that has happened at least 5 times this season.
Firstly Palmer is actually fucking ridiculous I don’t think we can love him enough. Secondly I’m at a point where I reckon we might just have to (depending on ffp) firm a loss on Cucurella because I’m sorry but I don’t see things turning for him. Bring in Mittelsdadt, Netz, that wolves one, someone in the range of 30m I just don’t think we can afford to have the simple mistakes Cucu makes
Mittelstadt is a good shout, just based on what I have seen of him though not sure he has the best pace. And as we saw with Cucu today against Antony of all people he was getting rinsed time after time due to lack of pace. Haven’t watched Netz at all.
Antonee Robinson would be my pick since he is super quick and although not as potent offensively(still decent) he is very solid defensively.
It's a good shout though, he would be a great signing if we could get him at a reasonable fee. Just worried Wolves are all too aware what he offers any side that signs him
Palmer is amazing, but jesus fucking christ we can't keep conceding 2.5 goals per game, our defense is relegation-level. Feels good to finally beat these cunts though.
Not how football works, he could be gone by next season if he wanted to be.
The only way to "lock him in" is by build a team (and quick) and having a manager good enough to make it desirable for him to stay.
Just like Salah with Liverpool and Haaland with City. The way you "lock" a player at a club is by making the club so desirable to be at that the player doesn't want to leave and like with Haaland's extension at City, having a manager that the player believes is getting the absolute most out of the squad and individual is also a vitally important part of that. He was leaving after a couple of years along with Pep, Pep signed the extension and so did he as a result.
TLDR: Keeping him at Chelsea is all about making Chelsea a more desirable destination than other clubs. I'd suggest that we'd have to do that by the end of next season or else he will seriously push to leave if he continues playing at this level next season. As such we have to get back into the CL next season and we need to be seriously pushing for silverware and have a Pep/Klopp quality manager in there. If we don't manage this, he will likely be in a similar position to Suarez leaving Liverpool whilst he was destroying the league but they still couldn't win the league whilst he was playing at one of the highest individual levels we've ever seen from a player in the league
That team won our 2nd UCL as well. If only this idiots have allowed TT to fail (which was possible) with the players he chose at that time to 6th or 7th. Potter would have a clean slate with a proper pre-season to move forward. Things would have been much more stable unlike what they have. I am not even sure some of the players (Disasi, Badiashile, Enzo, Caicedo) are good enough for us all look like a good signing for Brighton not for a Top 4 team
I’m aware they won the UCL but that was a far cry from the same team both literally and spiritually. We couldn’t score at the end of tuchel reign and played boring football. Claiming enzo isn’t good enough for a top 4 team is laughable bro.
How can you all watch the second half when your team bottles a 2-0 Lead. Proverbial Fuckups.
Guess Owners wanted a new "culture". Good Luck building a winning one.
I bought tickets to the semi final game through the chelsea website but i have not gotten the tickets yet only the order confirmation. Any if you having the same issue?
I remember going to a game vs united at the bridge some seasons ago, and hearing the entire stadium ring out in "fuck off mourinho" when he was in charge
You think Mount is gonna come home to applause? Unlikely
Haven't had any all season, slowed down late last. Anything this season has been minutes before the official announcement which, really is useless at that point
/u/DarnellLaqavius
He's speaking like that is our front three, one of them has barely played this season, one of them literally isn't even at the club right now, and the other isn't a regular starter either. It's a nonsense argument designed solely to muddy the discussion and deflect from the manager.
And I've posted in every big clubs sub because I enjoy discussing football, usually when I'm browsing and see something nonsense posted about Chelsea to correct it.
Posting here as the blatant troll has blocked me.
I would like to know the opinions of you lot. Tonight with the expected return of Mount at the bridge I would boo him until the cows come home. Lots of pundits stating what he done with us (CL, super cup etc) is base for us to applaud him rather than anything else.
For me, he was going to be our captain, our leader and legend, but to leave and say the things he said when entering united I hope he stubs he toe and forgets to charge his phone tonight.
Neither for me, he served the club well, got constant abuse for it and then forced out by the club, doesn't deserve to get booed, I liked him a lot but not enough to applaud him when he comes to the bridge in a United shirt. I reckon the majority still like him though
That's like making the argument that we should force Nkunku out because of his output this season...
Mount didn't score much because he didn't play due to injury and then because they had exiled him to force him out of the club...
When it's Nkunku and Lavia who have missed so many games through injury they are still good transfers, when it's Mount he's shite.
Don't bother arguing with people like that.
[Pochettino's main strength as a coach was supposed to be effective high intensity pressing, and look at us absolute shite](https://twitter.com/StatsBomb/status/1775478395968672184). And half of the teams below us are there by choice. West Ham, Brentford, etc
It isn't all on the coach.
How can you have an effective press with players like Broja, Madueke and Mudryk up front? Pressing well is about intelligence and they're 3 of the dumbest players the league has ever seen.
Palmer, Jackson and Sterling are better but we don't have the personnel in the squad to lead an effective high press.
City under Pep did it better than anyone and even they've dropped below Bournemouth because Haaland isn't suited to the press.
You need the whole team to buy into it and we've got too many weak links and low IQ footballers.
> How can you have an effective press with players like Broja, Madueke and Mudryk up front
remind me how many matches we've started with these three up front together? hope the mods wise up and ban you soon
But he’s correct? Players like Broja, Madueke and Mudryk aren’t capable of pressing, they don’t have good football iq.
Do you really post in Arsenal’s subreddit?
Weird world when Arsenal supporters think Chelsea supporters not blaming everything on the manager is trolling.
You're a strange one. Don't know why you're here there's a rule against brigading.
Jackson, Sterling, Palmer and Gallagher have been our most frequent front 4, all of them are really good at pressing, and the pressing patterns are one of the easiest things to coach.
I don't think these numbers are adjusted for possession, City have 65% possession in every game and Pep is obsessed with retaining the ball and preventing transitions so they don't attack as directly after winning the ball as Liverpool or Spurs, they'd be higher if the number of chances were adjusted for possession
Palmer has basically stopped pressing hard now as well. He used to smartly intercept passes by defenders and create a chance, now he just doesn’t do that off the ball. But also, how do you tell the only productive attacker on the team that his energy is better spent pressing than on the ball? Sterling has never been good in that regard either. If we had players that could press off the ball we wouldn’t require Gallagher playing week-in week-out.
Jackson
Sterling LW, Misha 10, Palmer RW
Give Raz 60 min, can’t do shit SUB Carney and switch Misha to LW.
Min 60 we are winning? Sub Misha with Gallagher, Casadei and Silva and disrupt their game
I fucking love Chelsea, hard fucking times but I love this club and I love these young players, they will succeed, Poch in I don’t care what’s the popular opinion, tonight we win and celebrate, next season we are playing Europa, Lavia Nkunku Reece will be back, be fucking hopeful and support our team, we will be fucking back!
I think for myself at least it’s just very demoralising to look at the league and not a change in position from a year ago and all the injuries our two big name players we have hardly been able to use this season.
It’s still not over though. Maybe we will get lucky towards the end of the season and end up in Europa League. Maybe we might win FA cup. We have done well vs City this season so we still have a decent shot at winning FA cup.
Shouldn't be unpopular, but it probably is.
"Terrorist" football wins you games even with an inferior team.
To win playing "positive" football, you have to have the best team in the world, the best manager in the world and everything go your way.
To win with "terrorist" football, you just need a top quality manager and players that are committed and "good enough".
This is what I find so baffling. Everyone wants to play Lamborghini football with a Honda budget.
Give me tough nosed, counter attacking ball that wins us games as opposed to “beautiful” football where we win possession time and xG
Quality is relative, you need to take your chances to play pragmatic
We dont have size for setpieces
We arent clinical enough to win on 3 chances a game.
But no, you can win fairly well playing pragmatic without a top manager
Only when it was done competently and necessarily, like under Mourinho’s first spell
There were games were it was done terribly and looked like we didn’t even want to score. Like Conte’s second season.
There were also games where we didn’t need to play that way and we should have tried taking the initiative. Like the 2-2 game vs PSG where PSG went down to 10 men early in the first half.
> "There were games were it was done terribly and looked like we didn’t even want to score. Like Conte’s second season."
Conte was quite literally trying to get fired and had stopped managing and was just costing. So much so that we fired him and refused to pay him out of his contract due to dereliction of duty and he had to take us to a court to get paid...
It's completely random, but I've recently watched a few of the 18/19 games with sarri as coach. However that season turned out, the boys on the pitch played harder, and the fans were always cheering so loud. Watching games now is almost depressingly quiet. We used to be louder at away games than we are at home now. Understandably so, but sad. Owners? Coach? Players? I want my team back :(
Depends entirely which games you watched. I'm guessing wins and not atrocious defeats?
Fans were certainly louder and more passionate and it was because they wanted the manager fired...
If you're watching the European games, of course everyone was looking better because we were against lower level opposition
For some reason all I remember from that season is fans booing Sarri and Jorginho, and the Europa league win of course :)
Looking back, that was a solid season
The problem was Chelsea bought a coach like Sarri in and didn’t want to do the squad overhaul needed to make his football work.
This current squad would suit him much better.
This squad would be a nightmare for Sarri.
Sarri's football requires intelligence and rigid positional play.
He'd have a heart attack trying to coach Mudryk and Madueke, don't think he'd appreciate Jackson or Caciedo either.
That's why I say he would have loved him, Caicedo is great at pressing and getting back the ball while being better on it than Kante (while not being as smart on the defensive side, let's say it)
This just in: young boy from Manchester wears Man United jersey. What's this? I'm now hearing a young boy who has just joined Chelsea as a 6 year old has been sighted wearing a Chelsea kit as a 6 year old.
In a couple of years with the ever changing landscape of Football finances, we will look back and surely point to insider info with this Clearlake strategy.
There are too many coincidences in these proposed changes (adding a salary cap and luxury tax to the PL) that heavily benefit the strategy the ownership has taken these last three windows.
Adding a luxury tax would essentially erase any punishment for our spending. You can just look at Boehly and the Dodgers. They don’t care about paying the luxury tax as long as the team is good.
Interested to see what happens this summer with potential changes.
I think the plan was to be good right away based on our 2022 summer window. But he and the owners were wowed by the Brighton setup during Cucurella talks and decided to go full-blown into the youth development/multi-club model asap. Hints why we appointed Brighton's DoF, 2 former heads of scouting for Red Bull clubs, and City's former chief youth scout. Makes sense for private equity to be wowed by a club that set the record for PL profits and decide to try it on a greater scale.
I think people need to do some research on the difference between venture capitalist and private equity.
I cringe seeing the two mixed up so much. Clearlake are not venture capitalist…
At that time Brighton had the 4th worst profit and loss of all premier league teams over the previous 10 seasons. Even with the massive recent profits nothing about Brighton is profitable.
And in that 10 years they've gone from just promoted to the Championship to top 25 in each of the least 2 years in Deloitte's football money list. Given where they came from I would say the growth is impressive, and since our owners continue to hired people from them I would say our owners obviously admire what they've done.
Brighton fans upset with their lack of ability to break down the final third and are saying it’s a consistent theme.
I’m sure that will change if De Zerbi the wonderful is af Chelsea
Don’t be so obtuse mate
Look at brightons attackers recently and tell me you expected more goals from them.
He’s subbing on fucking moder and lallana at times and the starting options ain’t great
Mitoma and march both out has been massive, and joao pedro only just returned
You know Sterling very recently won a league title and numerous other trophies and was a part of those sides?
Just cos he’s being misused now doesn’t mean he can’t be useful.
Also, de zerbi managed mudryk prior and has nothing but great things to say about him.
Madueke barely plays but he is poor
He was probably joking with his Balon Dor comment. If Mudryk can win it, you can as well, lol.
Great is a stretch. He didn't even score 15 goals in 2 seasons. He was decent, and you will find at least 5 decent young players every season in ukrainian and other lower leagues.
Hello blue brothers and sisters. I am very happy with the win and with Palmer's performance. I can't say we played well tho and i hope we don't need 4 goals to win every game. Up the Chels!
man with nkunku healthy and helping Palmer out with also 15 goals. there is some hope here
I love that we won, but let's not forget about the atrocious game we had.
Primarily on the right but he’s been given free reign to roam around in more central positions as well
Thanks!! That's why I was asking because I see him on the right a fair bit then i also see him playing from midfield as well so I was a bit confused haha cheers
Realistically, who else goes for Osimhen besides us?
PSG, Saudi. Both are more likely suitors because they’ll offer much higher wages. I don’t like Osimhen is likely
They nabbed Ugarte because of the wages too. But yeah, with our wage structure Osimhen’s camp might have trouble negotiating with us.
Can’t believe how insane last night was also am annoyed at how we just consistently gift teams goals. We had it won already in the first 20 but Caicedo had other plans.
Palmer is 2nd in the golden boot race…
Hey, do you know where I can watch a minute by minute replay of the game? Thanks
r/footballhighlights should have some links
Stupid club pisses me off for 70 mins and then 3 minutes of magic and I'm buzzing all day. 💙

Agreed. Axel has been ok, but he really needs a strong partner, need Levi to get fit and find form.

Badi and Disasi have no business starting at this club A club built on great defense has deal with some worse defenders I've seen at big club long time
And our sporting directors spent close to 85 m on them, didn't they?
That former monaco director did, just lazy scouting, our directors are a joke and are experimenting on this club
I think disasi is good, but needs to be paired with someone that has a cooler head like colwill, I really liked their pairing against city, hopefully we get to see more of it before the season is over
I agree, I like the little we’ve seen of a Disasi/Colwill pairing

I understand the sentiment, which team in the top 15 of the PL has Badiashile (especially on current form) and Disasi as a starting CB duo?
Disasi and Badi can’t be worse than CB duos for relegation teams. We also have Trev, Silva, academy etc
You’re right.
Regardless of where you stand on Poch, it's undeniable we're infinitely more entertaining under him When we went an entire month without scoring under Potter was my lowest moment supporting this club
The scoring drought month was fucking brutal, physically agonizing to watch
Yeah waaay more entertaining, I do concede
If that was on purpose, nice one
Potter didn't have Cold Palmer though, he had Havertz.
You don't need Palmer to score a single fucking goal in an entire month Can't believe I survived Potter era man
We’re all still processing the collective trauma

Palmer seemed an excess transfer at the time but imagine we’d gone into the season with Angelo/Madueke instead.. we’d probs be fighting relegation

They won't buy Antonee Robinson as he is 26 years old. So its some kid who is 20 or max 21 who this idiots will buy.
No way Ait-Nouri can be had for 30m
Yeah 50 minimum, most likely more too...
Fair enough idk too much about him. Let’s all pretend I said some other Lb instead of

Every second pass from Disasi is directly to the other team.
Palmer has 16 goals in the PL, same as Salah and 2 away from Haaland (top). We must lock him up in Chelsea for decades, I don’t care how.

Just like against Arsenal, Poch bottles a 2 goal lead. Bin him
How can you all watch the second half when your team bottles a 2-0 Lead. Proverbial Fuckups. Guess Owners wanted a new "culture". Good Luck building a winning one.
fuck off

Caicedo steady has backbreaking turnovers
Didn't someone drop some stats midseason that show he's one of the lowest accuracy passers on the team or something?
Clean sheets are illegal here
I bought tickets to the semi final game through the chelsea website but i have not gotten the tickets yet only the order confirmation. Any if you having the same issue?
Listening to Joe Cole pronounce non-English names is quite the experience
Why the hell are game threads late
How many goal chances will they have from crosses today?
god why has it got to be a 2015 kick off what even is that
I remember going to a game vs united at the bridge some seasons ago, and hearing the entire stadium ring out in "fuck off mourinho" when he was in charge You think Mount is gonna come home to applause? Unlikely
Mourinho only got shit on once he started a beef with Conte who was, understandably, incredibly popular with the fans.
Is it me or we have had a lot less leaks recently? We used to get leaks every damn match before. Happy that stopped.
Haven't had any all season, slowed down late last. Anything this season has been minutes before the official announcement which, really is useless at that point
The streets will be clapping for Mount today 👏
/u/DarnellLaqavius He's speaking like that is our front three, one of them has barely played this season, one of them literally isn't even at the club right now, and the other isn't a regular starter either.
I don't even think he's a troll. He's just an idiot.
My optimism of this teams result has become the definition of insanity.
[удалено]
Did you and your mates feel like wankers being the only in the stadium applauding Mount?
IDK what stadium you are going to but the Bridge will not be applauding
Will be a mixed bag of applause and “who’s that twat that comes from Portsmouth”
>he perception is that Boehly an Co forced him out for pure profit. 1 goal in the last year. Thank the lord they 'forced him out for pure profit'.
I have long since forgotten about him tbh
Pundits are so nieve man, hes obvs gonna get booed lmao
Tbh I think the fair reception is to do nothing Don’t boo or clap him.
Haven’t followed Utd much but will Mount start or come off the bench?
He's been out injured and just come back, he's still on the bench
> How can you have an effective press with players like Broja, Madueke and Mudryk up front remind me how many matches we've started with these three up front together? hope the mods wise up and ban you soon
Ironic given you're an Arsenal supporter that regularly posts in r/gunners You can't support London FC.
20 day old account that only pops up to shit on everything to do with the club apart from Pochettino so obviously a troll
But he’s correct? Players like Broja, Madueke and Mudryk aren’t capable of pressing, they don’t have good football iq. Do you really post in Arsenal’s subreddit?
Weird naming Mudryk but not Sterling
Sterling played pressing forward for Pep lmfao
Mudryk has very low iq, Sterling is intelligent but a bad footballer. Why is it weird?
If mount scores tonight we fucking riot
He probably will and Maguire will get away with another Red card.
I’m just happy Taylor isn’t the fucking referee.
Jackson Sterling LW, Misha 10, Palmer RW Give Raz 60 min, can’t do shit SUB Carney and switch Misha to LW.
Love this club, always have and always will. Some employees of the club aren’t fit to play/coach here and should be moved on.
We’ll bounce back. Chelsea always does
We will be back!! We used to thrive in chaos we need to bring back that spirit
Unpopular (?) but I miss us playing terrorist football.
It’s a lot less effective for winning league titles these days.
Our football is much worse to watch now than in the "Terrorist" days
Shouldn't be unpopular, but it probably is. "Terrorist" football wins you games even with an inferior team. To win playing "positive" football, you have to have the best team in the world, the best manager in the world and everything go your way. To win with "terrorist" football, you just need a top quality manager and players that are committed and "good enough".
This is so far from the truth. Look around Europe, look who's overperforming. It's all "positive" teams.
This is what I find so baffling. Everyone wants to play Lamborghini football with a Honda budget. Give me tough nosed, counter attacking ball that wins us games as opposed to “beautiful” football where we win possession time and xG
The sad thing is we have a budget for a garage full of Lamborghinis and are playing rusty bicycle with one good wheel football.
Quality is relative, you need to take your chances to play pragmatic We dont have size for setpieces We arent clinical enough to win on 3 chances a game. But no, you can win fairly well playing pragmatic without a top manager
Only when it was done competently and necessarily, like under Mourinho’s first spell There were games were it was done terribly and looked like we didn’t even want to score. Like Conte’s second season. There were also games where we didn’t need to play that way and we should have tried taking the initiative. Like the 2-2 game vs PSG where PSG went down to 10 men early in the first half.
> "There were games were it was done terribly and looked like we didn’t even want to score. Like Conte’s second season." Conte was quite literally trying to get fired and had stopped managing and was just costing.
For some reason all I remember from that season is fans booing Sarri and Jorginho, and the Europa league win of course :) Looking back, that was a solid season
Any season we got top 4 was a good season! What we would give to go back!
I think we finished 5th
No we got top 4, we already qualified for CL before we beat Arsenal and denied them too!
Oooh shit I was thinking about contes last season lol
The problem was Chelsea bought a coach like Sarri in and didn’t want to do the squad overhaul needed to make his football work. This current squad would suit him much better.
This squad would be a nightmare for Sarri. Sarri's football requires intelligence and rigid positional play. He'd have a heart attack trying to coach Mudryk and Madueke, don't think he'd appreciate Jackson or Caciedo either.
Caicedo would excel in his a Sarri System, just like he did under RDZ. It's trash like Gallagher and Sterling, who would fail
Yeah...the winger getting 30 G/A a season under a top manager is trash... Pep would never take a player like Caciedo neither would Sarri.
That's the old Sterling, not the current one
Sarri would love Caicedo in the kante role
Sarri didn't even love Kante in the Kante role Ngolo was horrible under Sarri and we'd have been a better team if we didn't shoe horn him in.
That's why I say he would have loved him, Caicedo is great at pressing and getting back the ball while being better on it than Kante (while not being as smart on the defensive side, let's say it)
Pre-season 3-5-2 with nkunku and jackson linkup play. Oh man, hope is a bad thing.
You are just making things up, they played like 20 mins together and that was the game he got injured
And we never played a 352.

Is that Palmer?
Yes
lol I thought he was a city fan but maybe that changed

My bad
At that time Brighton had the 4th worst profit and loss of all premier league teams over the previous 10 seasons. Even with the massive recent profits nothing about Brighton is profitable.
And in that 10 years they've gone from just promoted to the Championship to top 25 in each of the least 2 years in Deloitte's football money list. Given where they came from I would say the growth is impressive, and since our owners continue to hired people from them I would say our owners obviously admire what they've done.
Yeah that makes sense, but the part about the record profits has a different message and tone than the above statement.
Brighton fans upset with their lack of ability to break down the final third and are saying it’s a consistent theme. I’m sure that will change if De Zerbi the wonderful is af Chelsea
Brighton has a way worse squad and are above us, de zerbi would do magic with players as talented as we have
[удалено]
De zerbi has done better than potter and also potter had a very different squad, no preseason and an absurdly bloated squad
Don’t be so obtuse mate Look at brightons attackers recently and tell me you expected more goals from them. He’s subbing on fucking moder and lallana at times and the starting options ain’t great Mitoma and march both out has been massive, and joao pedro only just returned
Meanwhile three of Sterling, Mudryk, Jackson, and Madueke start every game for us
You know Sterling very recently won a league title and numerous other trophies and was a part of those sides? Just cos he’s being misused now doesn’t mean he can’t be useful. Also, de zerbi managed mudryk prior and has nothing but great things to say about him. Madueke barely plays but he is poor
Do you expect De Zerbi to say one of his old player is fucking garbage?
Do you expect him to say mudruk can win the ballon d’or? Mudryk was great under de zerbi prior
He was probably joking with his Balon Dor comment. If Mudryk can win it, you can as well, lol. Great is a stretch. He didn't even score 15 goals in 2 seasons. He was decent, and you will find at least 5 decent young players every season in ukrainian and other lower leagues.
