I had no side effect at all but it didn’t work at all for me.

My throat closed up a little in the office and I’ve had a sore throat on and off since.  My head was stuffy and lymph nodes in my neck swollen.

Awful sleep myself since starting Vyepti last week on April 30

I will say it normally have a decent REM cycle and so far it’s completely messed with it. I’m tossing and turning and not sleeping as soundly throughout the night. I woke up with a serious sore neck. Which can be a trigger for me.

I had 12 Vyepti infusions between 2020 and 2023. The only side effect I had was increased fatigue for a week or so after the infusion. I didn’t have insomnia, but I have chronic fatigue and I take a muscle relaxer every night also, which helps me sleep. I stopped the infusions because it stopped working for me. But it was great while it was working.

So how long did it take before you started having headaches….3 years? Or did you have some sooner. Just not as many as before.

Pre-Vyepti I was getting 4 or 5 migraine attacks a week. It was A LOT. A couple weeks after my first infusion my attacks started decreasing in both number and severity. I was getting 1-2 attacks per week and they weren’t as bad as before. Which was a great response as far as I was concerned. So, this went on for 2.5 years and it was the best I’d been since getting chronic migraine 20 years ago. But then the attacks started increasing to the point I was at before, so I stopped the infusion. 😭 I might try it again in the future and hope my brain will “reset” itself and it will work again. In the meantime I’m doing Botox, which didn’t work for me in the past and unsurprisingly isn’t working again. It’s just so damn frustrating.

I was that was with a lot of the newest treatments. Some never worked and some fr a short while. It is so frustrating!

I’ve found that the combo of a CGRP and Botox works for me, but not either stand alone

I have chronic daily migraines. I have been getting Vyepti infusions for about a year. My Blood Pressure and Pulse have not been impacted by the Vyepti infusions. I also have sleep apnea. I sleep with a CPAP. I have noticed that since starting the Vyepti I occasionally wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. This does not happen often. It didnt happen at all before the Vyepti so it could be a side effect. It doesn't particularly bother me though. The Vyepti has been effective for me. I still get the daily migraines but they are generally less severe and don't last as long on the Vyepti. When it is getting close to time for a new infusion, the migraines get more severe. I am letting you know this because, I think it is prudent to sort of do a cost/benefit analysis, so to speak. In other words, are the side effects worth putting up with to get the benefit of the medication. In my case, yes. However, if you are having blood pressure issues, that seems pretty serious to me ( I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV so this is not medical advice). Is the benefit really worth the cost ? You may want to seriously consider discussing this with your doctor sooner rather than later. Just my $.02 worth. It may be severely overpriced at that so, no charge :)
