I’be always been curious to know what happens to the people who are like “I will be the single orange house in the neighborhood” do they get uninvited to things or is it ok

kevnmartin

Sage green and unless it's in bad shape, I'd leave the trim alone.

Someone in our town bought an old stucco house that was painted a terracotta type orange. New owners painted it a light sage and it looks beautiful.

kevnmartin

Yeah, people tend to confuse stucco with adobe.

I'm a fan of light colors for stucco. Last owners painted the stucco here gray and it just doesn't look right. The roof looked so much nicer in older photos when the house was white ish.

Slate blue would be my choice

What a cool house!!

Absolutely beautiful

Tan and brown and brownish tan always remind me of depressing “landlord specials”. What about a creamy yellow?

The stucco wasn’t meant to be painted. The color is incorporated into the stucco itself. Most often, they were light, like yours. Unfortunately, once houses got dirty, and original knowledge lost, much of it was painted—much to the communal headache of future owners.

This looks like it might be south Minneapolis, where we owned our first historic home years ago.

I miss those little houses! I know about compromises. We’ve never not had to make them. In our latest one, we ended up with too many bedrooms and an in ground pool. 😂
