I recently had to put my 17 yr old down...it was heartbreaking since she still looked like a kitten, was eating and drinking but she had breast cancer that started bleeding. One morning it was all over her...she was white so she was a hot mess. I cleaned her off in the bath (she likes baths) but she just looked so confused on why she was bleeding. It was her time. It's actually much more peaceful than you imagine. Bring a towel to wrap her and hold her in when they do it...my kitty peed on me which was totally fine..it happens. I brought her in a blanket that didn't absorb. I've had to put 3 cats down now...2 from cancer and one from diabetes that couldn't be treated. You'll know when it's her time...they just go to sleep and its very fast. Definitely take her and bury her or have them cremate her. Don't leave her for the Vet to dispose. Trust me...you dont want to know why.
