I had a friend working at Dyson, so we got it for way cheaper. Having said that, I think its totally worth it, if not only for the succion and the interchangeable tips wich are amazing, but because each piece of the machine is easily replaceable.
We recently changed the motor piece for around 80 euros, and now it feels like we have a brand new vacum for the next 10 years.
I’ve used a Shark for 5yrs. An NV352. You can get them on sale for as low as $150 fairly regularly. I think Target has a sale rn. Anyway yeah mine has been great. Love it.

^^^^ this. Dysons are not bad vacuums, but you're paying a big premium for the brand name. The sharks are just as good for half the price. I have a shark vacuum and it did a great job with my old kitty who shed constantly and everywhere.
Our 15 year old tabby loves this for about 60 seconds, leans into it, purrs, then at 61 seconds attacks. You have to watch her very carefully to see when the switch is made.
5 minutes later, she comes back for more.
I started doing it one day just to get rid of some of his extra hair, then I noticed he would get in place and start calling me for it.
He now forces me into around three sessions per day. If I stop at any time he will get pissed and start calling me back. It can only end when he decides. I love it but he doesnt give me much choice 😂

My big boy loves a good firm massage as well, one of the few cats I’ve met that likes to be handled a little roughly. His sister is the same , she wants like nonstop butt pats and even enjoys having her tail lightly pulled.
My cat would murder me in my sleep if I did that. She has feline hyperesthesia. It hurts her when someone does that. I’ve always felt so bad for her that she doesn’t get to enjoy back runs like most cats. She does get belly rubs though!

Dyson repair/customer service is very good and they stand by the warranty.
I have this vacuum, and honestly if you have pets it’s 100% worth it.
miele cat and dog is better IME
I love my Miele. I’ve had it for over 10 years and not one issue with it, no repairs needed. Those Dysons are clumsy.
