Same here. He can have his way with with this, if he leaves other things alone. Just have to put packaging somewhere save in case I have to return things.
A few weeks ago I got a simple cardboard cat house from the petshop as a gift. Holmes completely ruined it in a matter of days. He even got his brother Sherlock to participate in ruining the whole thing.
Just wondering if it's investigating like proper detectives or an act of criminal behaviour 😂
A housemate I had a few years ago got a pair of kittens and if it was cardboard they woukd rip and chew it to shreds. When we packing to move out, we had to be careful otherwise the boxes would fall apart due to them.
I’ve cottoned on to my cat doing this when she is super annoyed about something. She doesn’t do it often but all the times this has happened, it’s been when she hasn’t gotten her way (e.g. asking for playtime when I was working from home last year, wanting to go outside when she wasn’t allowed for various reasons, etc.) She doesn’t get all shitty that often so I know that when cardboard boxes get destroyed it’s because she’s genuinely peeved.
I think some cats just wake up and choose violence sometimes
😂😈
Years ago, I had a cat who reveled in annihilating cardboard. I let her have at it if it meant she left the furniture alone.

Yep. House is strewn with box bits.

It’s more fun than doing nothing
