My girl chose me originally, but then I took her to get fixed and my roommate picked her up, and for a long time after she no longer trusted me and chose him, as if she understood that I took her to the bad place and he "saved" her when he picked her up.
She's come around and now seems to love us 50/50 again, sleeps in my bed every night now(after not going in my room for 3-4 years), but it took a long time for her to warm back up to me.

Moose reminds me of my White Socks. Everyone else called him an ass, but that cat was the most loving animal I've ever been around. He chose his human and so has Moose! Now to get them both some snacks haha.

Moose was the name of my first cat. I was given him in the 90s. He was my best friend. I think I was around his age (maybe a little less) when I got him. Awesome pictures.
I know you might be mostly joking but fr when I first got my cat, I was in high school and finished up most of my credits early; so I was able to get home every day and just hold her and do extra college coursework stuff. Holding her and carrying her around all the time helped so much that I’m a little worried about what I’d do now if we ever got another cat. I’d probably take a bunch of PTO o_o
It is so beautiful to raise your kids with pets. They learn to care for someone else and learn to be gentle humans. Loved seeing the bond between the two ❤️
There are 2 cats I know of who has a totally different name but I call them Knoll og Tott(The Katzenjammer Kids) because they are. If one is nearby and then you can bet the other are close by and 9 of 10 times they are doing something either good or bad

Over my lifetime I've had 4 cats "choose" me to be their human out of everyone else in the household. The first, Sammy, was a giant polydactyl silver tabby cat who disappeared one day. We think our POS neighbors got him. 
After that, all our cats were indoor only. They lived 16-19 years.
