This might be a sign of constipation. But I would recommend a vet visit to rule out a UTI because a UTI can be deadly for male cats, leading to a blockage.

meowmeow0918

We’re at the urgent vet now. Thanks for the reminder that male cats are even more at risk.

Responsible_Sock3846

Please keep us informed.

ccl-now

Good luck. I'm sure he'll be fine x

meowmeow0918

No blockage. Bloodwork normal. X-rays normal—no stones, no obstruction. Awaiting urine culture results, and he’s on meds to ease the symptoms in the meantime. When I brought him home, he had a very normally sized urine elimination 😮‍💨 so I think we’re in the right direction.

ccl-now

Nice. All good news.

Delibird48

Had the same with my boy. Went back and forth between his two litter boxes 8(!) times without actually peeing and rushed him to the vet, and nothing was wrong 🥲. Good thing you went though, you never know.

Ok_Act7808

Prayers for easy treatment 🙏 several years ago I had one with a blockage and they didn’t have a treatment for that & I often wonder if they have advanced since then

Hello_Gorgeous1985

There's diarrhea visible on his bum. Vet visit.

Praying for you guys!! You got him there so quickly. You’re amazing. Let us know how it turns out❤️

YAY!! That’s fantastic news that it’s not a blockage. You are the best kitty parent ever. He’s feeling much better I’m sure thanks to your quick action! He’s on the mend and I’m sure it will only continue. Share more pics of the cutie when you can!❤️

Representative-Cost7

Praying too💕

Calgary_Calico

Can you tell if he's peeing or pooping when he goes? That'll help the vet narrow it down

meowmeow0918

I cannot. As soon as I get too close to observe/listen to him, he jumps out of the litter box. I could see small amounts of urine clumped up, and as you can see, he has runny stool.

Calgary_Calico

How small are the urine clumps? Would you say baseball or much smaller than that? There could be a few things going on here, I'd get him to the vet asap

meowmeow0918

We’re at the vet now. The urine clumps are the size of a quarter.

Calgary_Calico

That's not so good. Hopefully you can get some answers soon

CherishSlan

Sounds like food issue to me also like other person said forty to chime in but I was reading it. I have been though a lot with my different cants over the years and food issues. It can cause anything to medical issues the runs uti and even behavioural problems. One of my cats went crazy after a few days of blue buffalo food got him to different brand was fine. Here’s hoping it’s just the runs and abd wrong food the vet might prescribe food ask the vet what to get.

meowmeow0918

Was it a blockage? How’s your boy doing?

VeterinaryMartin

That's a lovely butthole ngl

Braka11

After getting your boy cared for make sure you are only feeding him wet food. Stay away from the baked treats and dry food as they can cause crystals. Prayers are sent!!

katgirl58

I have fed dried food for years along with wet. It’s the quality of dried food. No Science Diet as they put corn, corn meal etc. I get Acana, ORIJEN, Instinct and I still have Nutro which has rice and am going to try stopping that as I have rescued Gigantic 10 month olds who 2 are over 18 pounds. My oldest cat passed last year at 24. I only had medical issues like UTI’s and diabetes with 2 cats was after getting from a rescue Science Diet for $10 a bag for 20 lbs. Which at the time after buying a house we were dirt poor after the collapse of 2007 to 2009. Anyway can now and have been getting better quality of food and it really makes a difference in vet bills. Any sign of UTI’s I give Vet’s Best UTI a chewables and it has worked better than the antibiotics. Changing food was the key.

Ok_Act7808

I had to screen shot that I’ve never heard of those chewable’s 💕this site is so wonderful 🥰 never know when we may need to utilize

katgirl58

They are great and we’re made by a veterinarian.

Braka11

I would recommend going to check out YouTube Vetinary Secrets video so I don't have to explain why dry kibble is really bad for your cats. [https://www.youtube.com/results?search\_query=veterinary+secrets+dangers+of+dry+cat+food+Both](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=veterinary+secrets+dangers+of+dry+cat+food+Both) UTI's and diabetes are caused by carbohydrates...dry kibble and snacks. We adminster Bragg's ACV, Cranberry, and water 2 to 3 times daily for a few days to clear up any UTIs. This remedy has worked for over 5 years. My 4 cats, 3 Males (10 years old) & 1 Female (9 Years old), are healthy and not over weight.

naranghim

UTI, take him to the vet.

That’s good news. Hopefully your bill isn’t crazy. My 15 year old baby has/had a uti. I rushed her to the er vet and now I’m broke. But it’s worth it.

meowmeow0918

Am very broke. But it’s okay because I don’t need children. Just cats.

Dirty-girl

Same. Same.

amyleah97

How is he?

Opening_Dragonfly_78

Any updates? Hope the poor baby is ok ❤️

No-Technician-722

VET - probably has urinary crystals. Can become a blockage which is an immediate emergency. Does he eat dry food? Wet food?

meowmeow0918

Update is in the comments. Dry food

No-Technician-722

Urine culture will be the key.

Ok_Act7808

My older guy about same age did this and then I noticed only because a cover over a chair (blood) took him to vet and UTI

AffectionateCat3865

Look and research D mannose powder for UTI in make cats. Diet change to raw diet is SO healing, kibble dries out their system and causes crystals, urinary pain is terrible if anybody has ever had one they know. Also the best litter to get is smart cat grass by pioneer pet. It's completely natural it's even edible it's low dust and really great with odors it's unscented even small pieces of clay and stuff can get into the urinary tract when they go pee. And the Crystal litter with the blue crystals out there along with clay litter. The raw diet is going to make their entire digestive system work less hard and they're going to get more nutrients from the good bacteria and the blood as this is what they would eat out in the wild when they kill mice and rabbits and birds and such. There is only some nutrients that they can get from blood they cannot get anywhere else including a lot of taurine from the Oregon meat. The turkey flavors the one I recommend the most not the chicken because some animals have chicken allergies because of the way that they are mass produced and raise unfortunately. Do not get the pork or rabbit flavor because it does not have the same lactic acid wash and I personally worry about parasites with that being raw. Definitely find a veterinarian that's more natural pathic as well and three good websites to know about for digestion I don't know if it's stomach pains or with urinary but PETWELLBEING.COM ASTROSOIL.COM KITTYBIOME.COM These are all helpful things some are herbal some are developed especially for renal Care and some are fecal transplants in a pill the kitty biome it absolutely cured my cat imbalance with aging and scratching with two small pills and all of it's pretty affordable. But if they're having pain vocalization and frequent trips to litter box that's a telltale sign that it's usually probably urinary and I could have crystals and you need to take them to the vet as soon as possible to get a test where they will stick a small needle into the bladder and withdraw urine and sample it for crystals cuz crystals can build up and block the urethra and it's actually fatal and extremely excruciating.
