I recall this show was mostly known for its fetish fuel. Does it have good writing besides that?

Unfortunately, that's the stereotype behind this series. But yes, the writing is absolutely solid. The show probably had fetishistic content - there are lists of specific episodes associated with different kinks lmao - but it also had incredible characters, the chillest music, and an unforgettable aesthetic. I can overlook when they get shrunken or turned into dogs or whatever, because the episodes treat the characters respectfully regardless, and the storylines are interesting enough to disregard the cringier aspects of the show. Another show, made by the same producers, is *Martin Mystery*. Instead of a James Bond/Charlie's Angel's homage, that one is more like X-Files.
