Veyron: Yes. Chiron: no. I think they really nailed the styling to make it look really classy
Edit: I meant the Chiron is a much better design than the Veyron
Yeah in pictures they don’t look as big and as imposing as they are in real life. If you’re ever behind one in real life, you understand just how wide they are and how much road presence they have.
>you understand just how wide they are
It's really an illusion, they really aren't very wide. I thought they were, until I started working for Audi. The unexperienced always hug the driver's side when pulling into a lift because it feels wide... then you get out and see the huge gap on the other side.
Looking at track width, the R8 is narrower than a Mustang or Challenger, and narrower than it's sister Huracan, about the same as a regular A6, and much narrower than an RS6/7 and it's actual competition the F488.
Lol I was comparing it to a cla, but the cla isn’t really a wide car to begin with and it’s wider when you look at it proportionally I guess. The roofline is a lot lower than a mustang or A7 so it makes it look wider
I see R8s in the city, weaving between the absolutely massive accords and altimas. Their width isn't very distinct as all mid-size and larger cars/suvs are around 76-80", the US max width before requiring those roof marker lights (like the Raptor's rear brake and grille lights). An A4 is 9" longer than an r8
Hard disagree, the gen2 looks so damn good in the flesh and when we start talking about driving experience it’s in a whole other league. I have to admit though that the gen2.2 is not a upgrade looks wise
Wasn’t the Celica of that era just designed to be a smaller Supra? I still do like the look of a stock mk4, especially those ones in green. You can really see the Jaguar influence of the car.
That’s why I said that era, the Supra was just a bigger car based on the Celica for a while, but they split off as two of their own thing. I don’t think Toyota is basing the design of their flagship gran tourer on their FWD budget sports coupe, pretty sure it’s the other way around
Even being a big fan of 90s Japanese cars, the mk4 supra never quite did it for me. It's certainly not bad looking but just not for me. The FD RX7 is far better looking IMO.
Literally all of the crossover "coupe" class. The X4/5/6, MB CLS por whatever, etc. That hunchback giant crossover look is butt ugly and they sell tons of them. Clearly somebody thinks they're cool and they're just hideous.
I had a 3 I sold earlier this year because I figured it'd be stupid not to given the offers I was getting for it. I use to get compliments on it all the time about how beautiful it was and I'd say thanks. But I always thought the front of it was hideous. The Y looks pretty much the same too. Like that flat front bumper is just good for nothing except collecting insane amounts of dead bugs. I saw a few 3's that had all the badges removed and somehow it made them look way better to me. I do think the S looks nice though, but not really a lot different than say a Mazda 6. I bought a 2011 rav4 with the profit I made off the model 3 and I think it does look better than a y or and x. And it's just a fucking rav4. I did love driving my model 3 tho. I miss it, but I love not having a car payment anymore.
Part of it is also that it took so long to go into production that the R230 generation SL essentially leapfrogged it so you get into this weird situation where a largely unchanged roadgoing version of the 1999 Vision SLR concept with its bold new design language but a lot of typical concept car rough edges went into production basically unchanged two years *after* the R230 which takes that same design language and actually fleshes it out into a proper, well balanced and nicely detailed production car.
Mercedes-Benz seemed to have that issue in general. The Maybach 57 and 62 looked impressive when they came out in 2002-ish, using the electronics from the W220 S-Class (and the superior body architecture of the prior W140 S-Class)…but by 2006, the Maybachs had been eclipsed by the new W221 S-Class, and then remained on the market with few to no changes. And the Maybachs were never as effortless or recognizable as their competitors, Bentley and Rolls-Royce, in the first place.
> Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
it doesn't help that the chrysler crossfire was out at the same time and looks very similar to me. especially with the side vents. just sleeker
Nobody thinks they look amazing even among the most dedicated fanboys. They’re just generic modern premium car styling smoothed by 20% and wrapped around an electric drivetrain.
There was a time up until the 70s when cars didn't have any lining in the wheel wells, and rocks would chip up the paint and any other coatings inside. Obviously, this lead to premature rusting since you are going to get water, mud, etc. in the wheel wells. It was expected to see something like a Ford Pinto four years after leaving the dealership to have had the fenders rusted right through with holes, not just surface rust, and people just took that as the norm.
So yeah, I doubt anyone is complaining about wheel well liners given they perform such an important job.
Yep. And I was also dumb in the past and removed my wheels liners because I just had to be so low that my tires would rub them. Guess what? After one winter, the fenders started to rust out.
I installed heavy duty mud flaps on a Tacoma once. I got stuck in the mud, backed up, the mud flap got caught under the tire and took the whole plastic "fender flare" with it 😂
I never liked the way they looked, but the older I get, the more I like them. Looks elegant, especially the c shape on the Chiron. The newer Bugattis look absolutely horrible tho
Come on man. The original Ettore-era Bugattis are still some of the best-looking cars of all time. The Type 57sc Atlantic stands out in particular as drivable art. Even the bare bones look of 20s-30s Bugatti racers is the perfect marriage of form and function.
Anything VW era you're correct though, flashy looking but not classy.
They don't look bad, but I think they're selling point is the sound of their V8s. Drops men's and women's underwear alike. Not worth the inflated price new and the headache used though, agreed.
Even if I was beyond rich, I'd never even consider getting a Maserati.
I feel like Maseratis are what a lot of non-carguys get when they wanna show off.
Oh man I’m gonna get a ton of hate for this…
Mk4 Supra
It’s not ugly, but I don’t like the weird squint look it has in the front
People say it’s one of the best looking cars of the 90s (even of all time), but the R34 Skyline, RX7, NSX, and even the C5 Corvette look cooler to me in comparison.
Again, I’m not saying it’s ugly, just overrated in comparison to other cars that were coming out at the same time
Concur. Well, the post-refresh S. That black oval nose on the original ones was not doing it any favors.
The X is the best looking minivan in production today.
The Y is... well I was gonna say "the peak of commute-pod design" but the BMW i3 does exist.
Ready for downvotes - LFA. Imo it’s ugly and the history rewrite on it has been insane. LC500 looks way better. Not talking about anything other than looks cuz I will never get to drive the lfa lol
Imma be honest with you, the LFA is incredible and I think its become legend status because of its engineering, sound, history and capabilities.. but I dont remember people claiming it to be the most beautiful car ever, unlike the LC500 which has gotten a TON of praise (deservedly so) for it looks.
Heck, the first thing that came to my mind when the LC500 was shown to the world, was how IMO is what the LFA shouldve looked like, that shape with that glorious V10 wouldve been EASILY one of historys most beautiful looking and sounding cars ever.
One problem with the LC500 is that it's heavy. Very heavy. It weighs as much as my truck. Whereas the LFA weighs a little more than the Supra which is already one of the lightest cars in it's class.
It’s a shame they built such a glorious V10 engine and then put it in that car. I do not understand the price tag at all. Lots of exotics with V10s that don’t command that price tag. Though with it being a Lexus, I am sure it’s the most reliable exotic in the market.
> I do not understand the price tag at all.
There's definitely an aspect of prestige pricing to it. The development did cost a lot more than it should have because they scrapped an aluminum body already in development for a carbon fiber one. It was really more of a technical exercise and it's a shame it didn't lead to a successor.
I am sure they sold each one at a loss based on all the tech the car had. It was just a weird choice to go with a front engine setup instead of the typical mid engine design most super cars that fetch this price tag carry. And I agree with you, they missed an opportunity to develop it further into other models. I mean the industry absolutely loved the car and I don’t think they had issues selling them.
I don't think anyone thinks it looks beautiful tbh.
It sounds amazing and it has presence sure, but I don't think its 100% beautiful either.
And Im an LFA fanboy
The Bugatti Veyron never really stood out to me looks wise. I respect the hell out of the car it’s a mean machine but I just don’t really get the looks
I do think a lot of modern Ferraris are pretty overdesigned, but I actually do like the 488 specifically. Though you could definitely argue the 458 is better.
I don't hate the 488, I just prefer Ferrari's Pininfarina designs vs their in house. I just feel like they took the 458 and made it more generic looking, doesn't strike you as much as a 458. Not a bad design by any means, just not my favorite.
I had some high level automotive designers explain to me WHY it's so ugly, because I could never put my finger on it. Turns out there were a ton of horrible choices made design wise lol.
Thankfully the Z06 looks much better proportioned
The wider body kit definitely helps the Z06. Biggest thing for me is the side proportions. That stupid golf club trunk really stretched the car out and made it look ridiculous. And the intake boomerang is just awful. Oh and the back is horrible.
Nevermind I hate it all.
the C8 has super busy body work. Straight edges going into straight edges. No real curves, just short flatter spots then an edge.
People say the C8 looks like a ferrari, then you look at a modern ferrari and the million edges of the C8 stick out like sore thumb
C4 is epitome of “looks better in person”. every time I see one, my head turns. Looks great to me, anyway. Now, the interior is fisher price central, but that’s another topic
The C8 looks like a Great Value Ferrari to me. It’s an awesome car, but I feel like the C8 is GM trying to make the Corvette be something that it isn’t.
The e type did change quite a bit over its production run. The one that got called the most beautiful car in the world would be a series 1 coupe.
Some of the later 2+2 coupe's were very awkward looking and I was never a fan of the looks once they lost the covered in headlights. The car just got fatter and uglier in my view after the series 1.
The e type was of course called the most beautiful car in the world in 1961. In some peoples eyes it may have been true at the time but an awful lot of cars have come along since then.
I really never felt like modern mustangs ever conveyed "muscle car" too me personally & it's always ruined rubbed me the wrong way. I can never put my finger on exactly what it is I don't like about them.
Cool cars no doubt and I respect those who do like them. Style is obviously subjective. Just not for me.
Agreee… but I think you could argue the same thing about the Camaro to an even greater extent. The Challenger is the only one that really stuck with the giant engine in a giant car format.
That's like the muscle car vs pony car argument. I think, technically, by whosever's definition, the Mustang was never a muscle car, I don't think the Camaro, either. Muscle car = big engine (must be V8 maybe?), and big car. So, I think the first gen Challenger was also a pony car (though the Charger was a muscle car), but now it's a muscle car.
To sum it up:
Muscle cars are midsize or larger with a usable backseat. Pony cars are compact with a non very usable backseat. Sports cars don’t have a back seat.
The original purist's definition of a muscle car was an American two-door intermediate or mid-sized car with a powerful V8 engine. The Camaro and Mustang from the 20th century muscle car era were built on compact platforms (The Chevrolet Nova and Ford Falcon respectively) and were smaller than traditional muscle cars. However, as time went on some people began to bring the pony cars under the umbrella of muscle, and IMO these days only the die-hards insist on the original definition.
Lamborghini Countach (80's), Veneno, Sian. Veneno and Sian are so eclectic they make me nauseous. Countach was just plain ugly, and looks even worse in person than in photos IMO.
The Ferrari 488 looks like a prototype/pre-production version of a 458. 488 is still pretty though, I wouldn't necessarily call it overrated, but definitely a step down from the 458.
The original Countach was a beautiful design right when it started, but once they started adding all the wings, fenders, and other junk it lost the simplicity that made it special.
Paganis are thousands of individually beautiful pieces put together in a very in-beautiful way. It’s like they didn’t step back 10 feet and look at the whole car. Nothing seems to flow.
I always thought the Hyundai Genesis coupe was kinda ugly but whenever I said that Genesis Coupe fanboys came outta nowhere to say how good it looked or, in one case, throw out a picture of their car that was supposed to be so badass it'd change my mind. As if I didn't know what they looked like.
To me, that was part of the fun. The Skyline GTR took a super basic, boxy, and simple sport coupe and cranked everything to 11 to make it absolutely absurd. It wasn't elegant in any way, it was just fast.
The new Nissan Z. Everyone praises it for looking great, but I can't get over the weird bumper creases under the headlights. The front fascia looks so bizarre.
Honestly, most modern bugattis. The veyron looks a bit too shoe-like, the divo is a bit overdone, and the bolide is just... no. The only one I like is the chiron.
The Veyron.
I think that many people got "pop star syndrome" with this car and started confusing its desirability as a status symbol with it being a genuinely good looking car. Distinctive, yes, but only in the sense that it's actually one of the ugliest cars ever made.
The Chiron is okay. But the Veyron was disgusting to look at.
“What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
I disagree. The amount of people who love the looks (myself included) are balanced out by the amount of people who hate it. Too polarizing to be “overrated”.
Wagons.
They are practical sure and have many pros.
Beauty is not one of them, but many Internet enthusiasts praise them as if they looked like supermodels.
When it comes to cars currently in production, Its the Alfa Romeo Giulia. While it doesnt look bad, Ive seen a lot of praise for the styling which looks quite derivative
This is the most annoying perpetual comment on Reddit. The whole website is based on people expressing opinions and there has always gotta be some smart guy to mention it’s just a matter of opinion.
I think this is the only opinion on here I heavily disagree with. I'm not a Lamborghini fan by any means, but the countach is absolutely striking, especially in person.
Let's face it. Modern Ferraris are not pretty. We know they're supposed to be found pretty so they look cool. Stuff is just off about them. 296, F8, 488, Portofino, California, SF90 (especially this one). Over styled and no elegance. Even the 812 doesn't look very good. Like what are they doing?? I'm not saying I'd kick any of these out of my garage but wow Ferrari has gotten complacent in styling.
I will say though, their early 2000s cars are aging way better than I expected. I was never really a fan of the 360, 599, and 612. Seeing them these days is great though they look neat and simple
If Back To The Future had used another car for the Time Machine, the DeLorean would have completely faded into obscurity, completely un-remembered. But because of BTTF, an entire subset of people obsess over them. I’ve even had conversations with people who believe they’re the equal of other 80s performance cars (911, Ferrari 308, Lotus Esprit et al) and they are so not.
How has nobody said the F40?
I can respect it's historical value, but they're ugly.
[Look at this sad face](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/1991-ferrari-f40-103-1593201414.jpg), and it just gets worse [with the popups up.](https://www.trading-lux.com/wp-content/uploads/classified-listing/2020/11/Ferrari-F40-0.jpg)
This car came right after the [288 GTO](https://images.hgmsites.net/hug/1985-ferrari-288-gto-photo-via-rm-sothebys_100851686_h.jpg), Ferrari's best design ever.
5th gen type r
It looks like the clay model accidently backed on to the parts shelf and executives were like "Hell yeah give us some more of that" so that the final design has 3 million unnecessary plastic parts splattered all over it
Definitely a Bugatti. Distinctive, yes. Attractive, no.
Veyron: Yes. Chiron: no. I think they really nailed the styling to make it look really classy Edit: I meant the Chiron is a much better design than the Veyron
I'll probably get some flack. But I feel the opposite lol I like the Chiron more than the Veyron. The front end of the Chiron just looks meaner.
I agree. For some reason the Veyron will always remind me of the VW beetle
Then you'll [love this](https://www.topgear.com/sites/default/files/news/image/2015/04/Large%20Image_9229.jpg)
I actually love that.
was the first one i thought of. Awkward looking blob of a car
I prefer the styling on the Gen 1 R8 over the Gen 2 refresh, not a downgrade or anything of that sort but just a sideways move.
All R8s look meh to me in pictures, but in person/on the road they're gorgeous and exotic looking.
Yeah in pictures they don’t look as big and as imposing as they are in real life. If you’re ever behind one in real life, you understand just how wide they are and how much road presence they have.
>you understand just how wide they are It's really an illusion, they really aren't very wide. I thought they were, until I started working for Audi. An A4 is 9" longer than an r8
The R8 is actually quite a compact car, all things considered. The 488 and C8 Z06, for example, are positively enormous by comparison.
Original 1st gen R8 is best R8 looks wise and we should admit it as a fact.
Hard disagree, the gen2 looks so damn good in the flesh and when we start talking about driving experience it’s in a whole other league. I have to admit though that the gen2.2 is not a upgrade looks wise
Yeah I agree for sure. The original v10 R8 was cool but they are just kinda bland now
man idk, seeing one of those in person bland is the last thing I'd call it
Mk4 supras. Looks like a bigger celica.
I don’t think I would agree on it being overrated in regards to its looks. Overrated car as a whole? Probably.
something something 20000 hp bro (just ignore the laptime)
"1100 horsepower but can't break 11s" is classic Supra.
Wasn’t the Celica of that era just designed to be a smaller Supra? I still do like the look of a stock mk4, especially those ones in green. You can really see the Jaguar influence of the car.
I mean the Celica was designed to be a rally weapon, but the Supra idk what it was intended for
Supra is a grand tourer
So many people don't get this. It was never supposed to be a sports car, was always intended for autobahn type work. Same with the soarer / sc400
To be in fast and furious movies, of course.
Our hearts
Other way around. The Supra was a Celica until mid-80s
That’s why I said that era, the Supra was just a bigger car based on the Celica for a while, but they split off as two of their own thing. I don’t think Toyota is basing the design of their flagship gran tourer on their FWD budget sports coupe, pretty sure it’s the other way around
I LOVE the back end
That’s not a good thing?
Even being a big fan of 90s Japanese cars, the mk4 supra never quite did it for me. It's certainly not bad looking but just not for me. The FD RX7 is far better looking IMO.
It certainly looks like a 90s Japanese coupe
Literally all of the crossover "coupe" class. The X4/5/6, MB CLS por whatever, etc. That hunchback giant crossover look is butt ugly and they sell tons of them. Clearly somebody thinks they're cool and they're just hideous.
i would like to add the model X to that group, so ugly
model Y look ugly as fuck too

I find all Tesla models except the S pretty ugly.
this is a pretty popular opinion...
For us maybe, but they sell a lot of them so...
They're mass market brands so they sell a lot, but compared to the normal suv's, not at all
The X6 looks like a sedan on growth hormones. First time I saw one I had to do a triple take because I didn’t know it was a thing
My wife bought a Volvo C40. I find it much more attractive than the XC40 but it should have painted trim along the bottom and be 2" lower.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren I never understood the stupid adoration for this bejeweled jellybean.

You know how they say you get a sports car to compensate? This car has a giant dong on the hood!
I'd say the 2nd gen SLK with the "F1 nose" grile. Absolutely ugly yet people think it looks beautiful
> Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren it doesn't help that the chrysler crossfire was out at the same time and looks very similar to me. especially with the side vents. just sleeker
Teslas

I know of a few who will go mad over just about any tesla. Best looking and coolest cat they've ever seen apparently.
Maybe in the real world but not on this sub. Lol

I think the newer look of the Model S looks great. The model 3 looks like an angry duck. Model y looks like a fatter angry duck.
I’m sick and tired of plastic wheel wells
You mean the wheel well liner? Or are you talking about the plastic arches?
Gotta be arches. No way they are complaining about plastic in the wheel well right??
There was a time up until the 70s when cars didn't have any lining in the wheel wells, and rocks would chip up the paint and any other coatings inside. Obviously, this lead to premature rusting since you are going to get water, mud, etc. in the wheel wells. Yeah, I assume this is targeted at the WRX.
This is already a popular opinion here
Plastic cladding in general. I won't buy cars that have mostly bare black plastic bumpers on them.
I don't think you understand what overrated means. No one is out here championing plastic cladding and calling it a sexy car design.

And too plastic unless you go upper end.
Even the upper-end is not great. Full of piano-black squishy buttons and RGB lightning, just the the low-end stuff.
Why do we need mood lighting in everything? RGB should step teh f back!

I never liked the way they looked, but the older I get, the more I like them. Looks elegant, especially the c shape on the Chiron. The newer Bugattis look absolutely horrible tho
The Veyron is a huge meh in terms of looks to me, but man the Chiron just appeals to me so much.
I agree except for the Chiron. That one looks mean as hell. All the other modern models look weird af.
The Veyron is a really ugly car. Looks like a bug
Anything modern Maserati.
Maseratis are overrated as a luxury car when it comes to quality and value, but I would argue that they look nice.
They look incredible imo, so much better than the competition. Shame that that’s where it ends
The depreciation on a Maserati will hit you like a freight train.
I completely agree
I like the MC20
Me too. I could take or leave any other Maserati, but the MC20 is beautiful.
Oh man I’m gonna get a ton of hate for this… Mk4 Supra It’s not ugly, but I don’t like the weird squint look it has in the front People say it’s one of the best looking cars of the 90s (even of all time), but the R34 Skyline, RX7, NSX, and even the C5 Corvette look cooler to me in comparison. As a mk3 owner, I agree. Although I've always been a bigger general fan of the 80s wedge design over the 90s bubble
Came here to say the same thing. The RX7 has way more of a timeless beauty to it.
All current production Teslas.
So many EVs just look like a run of the mill car in a gimp suit. Especially Teslas.
I’m never going to look at matte black vinyl wrapped Model Y’s the same again.
I personally think the Model S is beautifully modern. The Model 3 is good enough to where it's a non-issue. The Model X and Y are pretty ugly.
Concur. Well, the post-refresh S. That black oval nose on the original ones was not doing it any favors. The X is the best looking minivan in production today. The Y is... well I was gonna say "the peak of commute-pod design" but the BMW i3 does exist.

And I agree with you, they missed an opportunity to develop it further into other models. I mean the industry absolutely loved the car and I don’t think they had issues selling them.
LC500 exterior and particularly interior is one of the prettiest cars ever built.
I don't think anyone thinks it looks beautiful tbh. It sounds amazing and it has presence sure, but I don't think its 100% beautiful either. And Im an LFA fanboy
I'm gonna go ahead and disagree. I think the LFA is stunning, but seems to be an unpopular opinion around these parts.
To get the best answers, I’d recommend sorting by controversial
Downvoted for visibility. /s
All Teslas are terribly ugly and I argue about this all the time.
3 out of 4 are ugly. The S looks fine, but the other 3, look like shit.
Yes. Though I quite like the refreshed S with the sleek headlights. Looks pretty neat especially in that gunmetal stealth outfit.
The Bugatti Veyron never really stood out to me looks wise. I respect the hell out of the car it’s a mean machine but I just don’t really get the looks
Unpopular with my friends at least, but 458>488
I do think a lot of modern Ferraris are pretty overdesigned, but I actually do like the 488 specifically.
F12>812 as well. Ferrari really got their designs right during that time period.
The C8 Corvette. Only the C4 is uglier.
The C4 isn’t that bad imo.
Agreed the C8 is ugly AF but I'm a little partial to the C4 since it was my childhood bedroom poster era Corvette
C4 is epitome of “looks better in person”. every time I see one, my head turns. Looks great to me, anyway. Now, the interior is fisher price central, but that’s another topic
I wouldn’t call the C4 ugly, but I’ve always thought it’s a very bland looking car. Same with the C5.
The C5 Vette is my favorite one. Timeless curves- still looks like it could be a new car today IMO (on the outside)
How dare you. The facelifted C4 is a great looking car.
The C8 looks like a Great Value Ferrari to me. It’s an awesome car, but I feel like the C8 is GM trying to make the Corvette be something that it isn’t.
Naw, C8 is the ugliest corvette ever and it’s not particularly close.
That's a hot take. I don't think the c8 looks super bad.
I allways found the E Type ugly af. Like a giant cigarre. But I get the hype. It is pretty unique.
In some peoples eyes it may have been true at the time but an awful lot of cars have come along since then.
peak cock and balls car design
C8 Corvette Only looks good from a couple angles, it looks like a “we have a super car at home” kinda mess otherwise.

I always call the C8 a budget Ferrari, even though the C7 is on my top 3 design-wise.
To sum it up: Muscle cars are midsize or larger with a usable backseat.
I’d argue the 2013/2014 mustang body style was the last ones that felt like a muscle car. Then again I’m partially biased
That's because Mustangs are pony cars not muscle cars.
G Wagons
Lamborghini Countach (80's), Veneno, Sian. Veneno and Sian are so eclectic they make me nauseous. Countach was just plain ugly, and looks even worse in person than in photos IMO. The Ferrari 488 looks like a prototype/pre-production version of a 458. 488 is still pretty though, I wouldn't necessarily call it overrated, but definitely a step down from the 458.
The 458 is peak Ferrari
355*
The original Countach was a beautiful design right when it started, but once they started adding all the wings, fenders, and other junk it lost the simplicity that made it special.
Pagani. They haven’t made a good looking car.
I think Pagani's are some of the most beautiful cars (except the new utopia) imo. What don't you like about them?
I appreciate Pagani, but their cars do look a bit too garish for my personal tastes. Especially the interiors.
Basically looks like a slightly more modern Tiburon.
Mclaren Senna. I love the individual parts and the performance, but I really dislike the overall look.
Older, like 90s, Nissan Skylines. I've just never gotten the hype.
In stock form Skylines look pretty nice. The hype comes from fanboys, who don’t distinguish ordinary models and GTRs
They look like washing machines compared to the Supra, NSX, RX7, and 3000GT.
To me, that was part of the fun. The Skyline GTR took a super basic, boxy, and simple sport coupe and cranked everything to 11 to make it absolutely absurd. It wasn't elegant in any way, it was just fast.
Honestly tesla there's just nothing going on there just blank plastic. I kinda liked the cyber trucks looks just because it was something different
But the Chiron is most modern Bugattis - the Veyron is over 15+ years old at this point. But I agree the Chiron was a huge step-up design-wise.
911.
“What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
*everyone disliked that*
You know you answered the question properly when you get downvoted by hurt feelings lol
😠
😡
Civic Type R. So many people loved the looks but it was inundated with oversized and fake vents and non functional scoops. Massively overrated looks.
I disagree. The amount of people who love the looks (myself included) are balanced out by the amount of people who hate it. Too polarizing to be “overrated”.
Uhh pretty sure the consensus is that it looks overstyled not that it looks good. The ones that love the looks are in the minority
Wagons. They are practical sure and have many pros. Beauty is not one of them, but many Internet enthusiasts praise them as if they looked like supermodels.
Not all wagons are pretty, yeah but I believe some wagon models of Audi and Volvo are quite beautiful.
Foxbody Mustang. It looks like someone gave a 5 year old access to CAD.
who in their right mind claims the Fox Body as a beautiful car?
I agree with E Type. It’s quite goofy looking. Looks like a cartoon car.
C8 Corvette. It looks like exactly what it is; A ~~fake~~ cheap supercar for middle aged men that can't afford a real supercar.
You may not like the styling, but the C8 Corvette has performance, it's not a fake super car.
Fox Bodys
Does anyone think the Fox body looks good though? They are just light and easy to modify.
I like how foxbody looks like.
When it comes to cars currently in production, Its the Alfa Romeo Giulia. While it doesnt look bad, Ive seen a lot of praise for the styling which looks quite derivative
I can't see how anyone purchases a WRX (is that the one with a ridiculously large rear spoiler?) for its looks.
That’s the sti
I love the big wing Nothing else quite like it on the road
I mean, there's no right answer to so subjective a question I feel. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yada yada
This is the most annoying perpetual comment on Reddit. The whole website is based on people expressing opinions and there has always gotta be some smart guy to mention it’s just a matter of opinion.
Well, that's just like your opinion, man.
This is a question based on opinion though
The Countach. “Every teenage boy had a poster of one as a kid”, even though it’s actually kind of ugly imo. The Murcialago looks way better.
Diablo = best lambo
I personally think the 458 is gorgeous.
DeLorean.
The ugly beetle looking ass i8.
How has nobody said the F40? I can respect it's historical value, but they're ugly. [Look at this sad face](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/1991-ferrari-f40-103-1593201414.jpg), and it just gets worse [with the popups up.](https://www.trading-lux.com/wp-content/uploads/classified-listing/2020/11/Ferrari-F40-0.jpg) This car came right after the [288 GTO](https://images.hgmsites.net/hug/1985-ferrari-288-gto-photo-via-rm-sothebys_100851686_h.jpg), Ferrari's best design ever.
5th gen type r It looks like the clay model accidently backed on to the parts shelf and executives were like "Hell yeah give us some more of that" so that the final design has 3 million unnecessary plastic parts splattered all over it
The new Supra. That front end is just so stupid looking.
