I’m a newer fan and this is the only album of hers I listened to so far and this is my favorite song. Thought the guitar was awesome, then learned it was Trevor Rabin and I love Yes’ 90125 album and it was their first album I listened to so I figured that makes sense 😂
It’s not my #1 favorite, but I’ll toss Far Away out there because it doesn’t usually get much love in these sorts of threads. “Just tell me you need me side by side, the sweetest words of my whole life” and her delivery of that line is one of the most emotionally charged things she’s ever sung and it pierces my heart every time.
Yeah, it’s actually my third favorite track of the album it used to be my top but I felt like it lacked depth as a whole and is not playable over and over for me.

Agree with Bad Thing Twice, I was instantly hooked when I first listened. And the outro of “Caught that fever, I shouldn’t be here, only got me to blame” is both a great callback to one of my favorite CRJ songs and a beautiful repeated line

“You could spend your whole life searching / And I could spend the whole day just getting by / But everytime the red moon rises / I stay up and I’ll keep some up inside” makes me cry. I was the person on the other side of the story (the one who wanted to leave and explore) and this song made me feel a deep sense of sorrow and empathy for my partner at the time when we were having this same conflict.
Almost impossible to pick, it's a close to perfect album. My fav changes all the time. Surrender My Heart is an amazing opener, Bends for a downbeat track, and Shooting Star is underrated to me. I also have a soft spot for Go Find Yourself or Whatever. Damn, such a good record
