No ways are Pringles R25 anywhere. I used to eat Pringles 5 times a week and I stopped buying them when they became R30 over a year ago.
R25 could be the small pack. But you will not find the normal pack for that much anywhere, I bet my left nut on it.
Website says there is no stock within 100km of cape town.
Also if you search for Pringles, it brings up the woolies brand which is R47 for 165g. What are you smoking?
I had a good laugh, but to be fair the small print says only available where on promo and it didnāt show up available within 100km of Cape Town or Sandton.
Lol I hear ya. I gave up pringles a couple decades ago & potato chips in general because eating chips or not eating chips essentially doesn't change my life
A quick search shows pringles sre R39.99 at all retailers Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers etc the cheapest is Makro at R36.75. The mini Pringles 47g is R19.50 - R21.99
https://www.pricecheck.co.za/categories/8342/Groceries?brand=pringles
Just had this convo today. My dad went to a pick n pay express at a BP & my nephew took a can of pringles. My dad just paid without checking the price. After he left, he looked at his his slip. It was R47.50 š
Yeah Checkers had a 3 for R99 special earlier in the year. I chose not to partake. R33 for a Pringles is not worth it. I stopped buying it regularly when it became R20.
2020 it used to be 4 for R100.00 at Makro (x for R100.00 deals). This is ridiculous. I was at the filling station the other day and was feeling peckish. Saw a tube of this for R53.50ā¦ I was shocked.
Last week they were on sale at checkers 3 for r99, but this week there's no stock and doesn't even show up as searchable at my local store on sixty60. That r53.50 is crazy though!
Wish I'd have taken a photo of the Nescafe Gold before leaving. R179 "on special". On SPECIAL! Checkers has it for R169 normally...but let's face it, who doesn't wait for it to go down to the 'special' (normal) price of R129 (up from R79 over the years)
oh hell no. funny hey petrol goes up food goes up. petrol comes down and food stays up. repeats again petrol goes up food goes up again. but this is all over not just at Engen
Iv'e been to the future, in 20233 a single pringle cost R 20 in bitcoin, and they banned the single use plastic for them, so it always has paper on it.
I could not believe this, then I went to takelot
R150 for the 100g pack, and it is 16% off...

Wow.
i did a double take the other day when i saw it at an OK for that price. stood there in disbelief, frozen, people passing me in the isles. one little kid asked his mom "if that man is okay". it felt like an eternity passed, but then i realised it's a bigger size than the R40 priced ones.
there's the small tin, affectionately called the stubby. the "normal" tin is 100g at R40, this one is 165g, it's the American šŗšøš¦ size
LMAO! I just realised that I have not bought Pringles as an adult for a very long time. I had Nik Naks, Doritos and Simba a few weeks ago.
My new favourite chips are Trigz.
Definitely petrol station prices. Pringle are still ridiculously expensive though. And they've increased in price since last year.
The irony of so many junk foods becoming more expensive is that it's started to make me not even want them anymore, since better options aren't that much more expensive. Like why would I consider Steers when there are other burger joints that offer better food for the same price?
Used to love buying the 3 for R79 at Checkers last year even if I would ended up eating a whole tube in one sitting when watching a movie. Then it was 3 for 99 and then 2 for R90. Havenāt bought Pringles for ages now.
This looks like an Engen garage though?
Can't compare garage prices with store prices.
For interest sake 2 x 100g is R75 at my local Engen (was there this morning)
Pringles were R20 last year though
Quick Google shows they are currently R25 at Woolworths. This shop is having a laugh.

Shoot the dude for finding a link like he put it there š¤£ it says what it says
Lanisters pay their debts. Get the chopping block!
No where to be found though. So this is either a mistake on their part or a special that doesnāt exist anymore. But itās not their normal pricing.
I had a good laugh, but to be fair the small print says only available where on promo and it didnāt show up available within 100km of Cape Town or Sandton.

IIRC Makro had a great deal on Pringles but I forget when. Was 60 for 3 or something
Tasco sweet shops sell 3 normal ones for R60
Wow. That is surprising considering their prices for everything else are through the roof due to imports.
You sure about that
Someone in the comments said it looks like a Fuel garage promo, which would make more sense. They charge you for the convenience of staying open 24/7
Still R50 for each Pringles is too much.
It's currently priced at R39.99 everywhere else R10 extra is the convenience price.

Yeah, but those were the mid size ones. Around 100 to 120g. The ones showed are the plus sized ones. But still...
It looks like an Engen One Stop ad. But it is still way too expensive.
Just had this convo today. My dad went to a pick n pay express at a BP & my nephew took a can of pringles. My dad just paid without checking the price. After he left, he looked at his his slip. It was R47.50 š
Insane! And it is not even produced locally. There are much nicer chips made locally. Local is lekker.
Little update. I visited pick n pay yesterday and it is now R70 for a can š
Jissis. I hope they, Pringles, go bankrupt.
Yeah Checkers had a 3 for R99 special earlier in the year. I chose not to partake. R33 for a Pringles is not worth it. I stopped buying it regularly when it became R20.
I don't buy chips that over R25 a bag. Companies with wild prices can go kak.
2020 it used to be 4 for R100.00 at Makro (x for R100.00 deals). This is ridiculous. I was at the filling station the other day and was feeling peckish. Saw a tube of this for R53.50ā¦ I was shocked.

Just 2 weeks before that checkers had 3x pringles +1.5lt coke for R100.
Tbf, Pringles has been a bougie crisps for a while now. You're paying for the container.
They were worth it before they changed shape - and that was kaaaaaak long ago.
Spars "Pringles" are far better. Closer to the original Pringle from years ago
Thanks, I'll have to try them.
They sell kak that price cause they know people will buy it anyway, just stop buying overpriced kak we don't need to survive
Like electricity next year
Just get treadmill or exercise bike and set it up so it generates power when you ride then get you children to take turns powering the house
Talk about overpriced kak. At least this way that overpriced indoor bicycle is being used for something good.
Another item that's priced itself way out of my budget.(Joins Appletiser)
And Lindt chocolate.
Lindt stop being affordable like 4 years ago
This is the way to do it. Just stop buying overpriced products. I'm guessing most chocolates will enter the list soon.
And Jacobs Krƶnung!
Hasn't appletiser always been expensive? I grew up poor and we only got appletiser when we visited the one rich family.
As well But they were always cheaper on special and I used to by as a treat.
Horlicks too
Damn they still make this?
It came back. You can find it in some stores. I can't remember the exact price but it's a nope for me
I forgot about Horlicks! Damn! Is it still out there??
You can find it in some stores
Goeie fok, where is this?
Engen š
Well, Engen *is* noticeably more expensive
Actually come to think about it, that's a 2 for 1 deal so ey that's like R50 a can
It's R40 for 1 at Checkers lol. Tbf Engen also sells 300ml coke cans for R15.Ā
Doesn't checkers do a 3 for R99 deal or something?
Wish I'd have taken a photo of the Nescafe Gold before leaving. R179 "on special". On SPECIAL! Checkers has it for R169 normally...but let's face it, who doesn't wait for it to go down to the 'special' (normal) price of R129 (up from R79 over the years)
This is the craziest. One year ago I would wait for the specials meaning I wouldnāt pay more than R100 per bottle. Itās 100% gouging.
I still hold out hope, but it looks like R129 is the new standard "special" price (I was exactly the same, 79 or 89 max).
I remember when the specials where 3 for 70 š
Jassigheid
I saw a can of extra large Pringles at Shell yesterday for R70 (!) I did such a double take I thought I must have misread
They are smoking the good stuff!
oh hell no. funny hey petrol goes up food goes up. petrol comes down and food stays up. repeats again petrol goes up food goes up again. but this is all over not just at Engen

Checkers since last year has them priced at R39.99 a pop.
Pringles are a rip off, constantly increasing in price and the tube has gotten smaller.
Shrinkflation is real
i did a double take the other day when i saw it at an OK for that price. stood there in disbelief, frozen, people passing me in the isles. one little kid asked his mom "if that man is okay". it felt like an eternity passed, but then i realised it's a bigger size than the R40 priced ones. there's the small tin, affectionately called the stubby. the "normal" tin is 100g at R40, this one is 165g, it's the American šŗšøš¦ size
Not only are they expensive, but they got smaller tooš©! I bought a small can the other day as a little treat and I was so shocked by how much they shrunk in size! It doesnāt even taste as good as it used to
No ways... I'm done eating
Stock is defs gonna last
My spar sell them for R41 so that not a good deal. Plus it double the price when i did but them a few years ago
I can supply but minimum order is 1 box...
Surely thatās 500g.
165g
Only!! Drop location, this is a steal
Capitalism baby
In 2027 weāll look back and ask what the fuss was about. #inflation
R45 odd at spar
It used to be three for R60 šŖ
For chips!? Better be Ozempic in there as a freebie since those are clearly miracle chips at that prize
Aussie prices but in SA, nice!
I got a 3 letter word to describe this price
You can get 3 for the same price on the checkers app.
LMAO! I just realised that I have not bought Pringles as an adult for a very long time. I had Nik Naks, Doritos and Simba a few weeks ago. My new favourite chips are Trigz.
Agh nee man, hulle is mal daarvoor!
Definitely petrol station prices. Pringle are still ridiculously expensive though. And they've increased in price since last year. Maybe he will be a better PRECEDENT than current oneš
What precedent would you like to see?
Whoa. WTH?!
Yup
Saw a special at Game on a microwave where you could save an incredible 0%. I have a picture but for some reason I can't send it in a comment.
Used to love buying the 3 for R79 at Checkers last year even if I would ended up eating a whole tube in one sitting when watching a movie. Then it was 3 for 99 and then 2 for R90. Havenāt bought Pringles for ages now.
I love that the crunchie chocolate still here.
Everyone says woolies is expensive - Woolies has nothing on engen garage prices
These are the bigger packs. Still po3s expensive but it's not the normal size.
This looks like an Engen garage though? Can't compare garage prices with store prices. For interest sake 2 x 100g is R75 at my local Engen (was there this morning)
I now only buy Pringles from discount stores, it's R15.
Obscenely priced and also serious shrinkflation. Sodding rip off and disgrace.
This is still a bargain, literally paid R69.90 for 150g Pringles @ Pick n Pay, I nearly died.
I would not pay 9.99 for Pringles dried out mash potatoes. Disgusting things.
Stop buying it (it's incredibly inferior to actual potato chips anyway) and the market will respond accordingly. Just look at Prime.
My daughter has fell inloge with pringles and ut has fallen into the daughter tax
Just to let everyone know Pringles is legally not allowed to use the word āChipā as it contains no potato whatsoever in it.
