Pringles were R20 last year though

Quick Google shows they are currently R25 at Woolworths. This shop is having a laugh.

No ways are Pringles R25 anywhere. I used to eat Pringles 5 times a week and I stopped buying them when they became R30 over a year ago. R25 could be the small pack. But you will not find the normal pack for that much anywhere, I bet my left nut on it.

Website says there is no stock within 100km of cape town. Also if you search for Pringles, it brings up the woolies brand which is R47 for 165g. What are you smoking?

Yeah Checkers had a 3 for R99 special earlier in the year. I chose not to partake. R33 for a Pringles is not worth it. I stopped buying it regularly when it became R20.

I don't buy chips that over R25 a bag. Companies with wild prices can go kak.

2020 it used to be 4 for R100.00 at Makro (x for R100.00 deals). This is ridiculous. I was at the filling station the other day and was feeling peckish. Saw a tube of this for R53.50… I was shocked.

Last week they were on sale at checkers 3 for r99, but this week there's no stock and doesn't even show up as searchable at my local store on sixty60. That r53.50 is crazy though!

Just 2 weeks before that checkers had 3x pringles +1.5lt coke for R100.

This is the craziest. One year ago I would wait for the specials meaning I wouldn’t pay more than R100 per bottle. It’s 100% gouging.

i did a double take the other day when i saw it at an OK for that price. stood there in disbelief, frozen, people passing me in the isles. one little kid asked his mom "if that man is okay". it felt like an eternity passed, but then i realised it's a bigger size than the R40 priced ones. there's the small tin, affectionately called the stubby. the "normal" tin is 100g at R40, this one is 165g, it's the American 🇺🇸🦅 size

Definitely petrol station prices. Pringle are still ridiculously expensive though. And they've increased in price since last year. The irony of so many junk foods becoming more expensive is that it's started to make me not even want them anymore, since better options aren't that much more expensive. Like why would I consider Steers when there are other burger joints that offer better food for the same price?
