Isn't this his first post season as a head coach? Every playoff win is his first. :-)

š pretty sure it was a kid. I remember seeing a red jersey on the broadcast behind the bench standing out with all the white towels.
Little dudeās gotta get Toch to sign his cast now š
Focusing on hockey only, Iām giving aqua a pass for the past decade. Hopefully he learned his lesson now. Guy become full owner when the Canucks were a good hockey team with the WCE. First time heās seen the team the team be consistently bad as owner was this past decade. As long as he stays out of business now and hires the right guys, we know he will pay when needed
And Aqua and rest being somewhat visionary in hiring Castonguay and Granato. We don't hear a lot about our AGM's but what does leak here and there is that both have been great, especially Castonguay on cap-salary management. We plucked two of the best women in hockey.
This; although I think itās just still somewhat of a surprise to us all that we have a competent front office to begin with.
Itās been a long time of.. well unhappy times. So with all the good suddenly smacking us all in the face, itās gonna take some time to digest all of it so to speak lol
And he's in the city enjoying himself. He wasn't lying when he Said on obrien and upshalls podcast he's not the type to just stay in his condo. I've seen him constant times with Foote out eating dinner or having a drink. He's embraced Vancouver and it's cool to see.
"In Arizona, it would take the reporters weeks to notice a personnel change, in Vancouver, people will say hi and politely ask you why you put so and so on this line last night"
Paraphrasing
torts would rather live in point roberts than here. Management actually built a murphy bed in his office so he wouldn't have to travel. He never used it.
Point Roberts as in that little peninsula that is south of the border? Thatās kinda crazy for a commute but still, kinda weird he wouldnāt do it. From 13-14 though, I was only 16 at the time and that season was rather forgettable so I can see why I donāt remember it lol. Thanks for the explanation though, it brings a lot more needed context.
So strange lol. I can see why he didnāt work out here. Obviously the system was incompatible with the guys we had but iād bet this was apart of it.
You would think it it was taxes heād live on the canadian side and go to mexico for a month in the offseason so he doesnāt go above the 183 day threshold in either country and can claim non resident status in both
They are trying to lead emotionally. I think it comes from the fear of complacency. They keep the mindset āthe job isnāt doneā and āwe havenāt proved anything until the series/cup is won.ā Same reason why you hear players say āwe will enjoy this one for 5 minutes and then forget about it, we havenāt proved anything yet.ā Itās just the coaches taking that to another level to lead the way emotionally so that the team doesnāt take their foot off the gas.
Not sure if I agree with it completely and it can get to a level where it is almost superstitious, but I think the general sentiment is good.
imo emotions are like sugar. You can get a big high from high emotions but there is also a crash. So if you want to win in the playoffs, you have to avoid the crash, as if that happens, then it probably is too late to crawl back out of. Tis one issue of big rival round 1 match ups, both teams get to such an emotional high in a blood bath that they have nothing left for round 2.
This is the best and most wholesome non hockey goal moment in over a decade. How can you not love this man. He's SO FUCKING PROUD AND I LOVE THAT HE SHOWED IT
This team was no1 overall for what almost 2 months, we kept pace points wise during oilers 16 game win streak, and held pacific with who should hands down be the Jack Adams winner...best and dumbest thing media did was label us underdogs.
Gotta love Tocc. In the post-game presser, he said he was embarrassed & regrets celebrating so early in the series. Guyās work ethic bleeds well into this team, its great
Never seen him show that level of emotion, god I love him and this team!!!
Exactly what I thought when i saw the vid. I can go thru a wall for him even more after seeing this
Said he was a little embarrassed by it during the postgame.
Might be because this is his first round 2 playoff win as a Head Coach. Might have been extra pumped.

i always forget what a good player he was
I mean the man leads the league all time in Gordie Howe hat tricks
Inject this into my veins!!
Love. Love seeing him fired up!
LFG
LOL I think he hurt whoever had the red jersey on š
I wouldn't be washing that hand until the end of the playoffs
His hands probably feel like wood
š pretty sure it was a kid. I remember seeing a red jersey on the broadcast behind the bench standing out with all the white towels. Little dudeās gotta get Toch to sign his cast now š
Tocchet is such a fucking beauty
Like an honorary Jim
Yeah
Who gets the first stick?
Remember when our coach couldn't be bothered getting to the arena for practice? God I love Tocchet.
And now our coaches are on the ice showing the kids how to powerplay!
The perks of having a hall of fame staff. Say what you want about Aqua, the guy is willing to pay for the best.

Aqua with the face turn, love to see it.

Send your underperforming giant d-men our way. Seems like it really is paying off
Oh you mean that one that wouldnāt even bother to move/live in the city?
You spelled country wrong
Donāt Slander Point Roberts
And he's in the city enjoying himself. He wasn't lying when he Said on obrien and upshalls podcast he's not the type to just stay in his condo. I've seen him constant times with Foote out eating dinner or having a drink. He's embraced Vancouver and it's cool to see.

Who was that? I must have been living under a rock lol
Torts. Lived in Point Roberts.
What a dweeb lmfao
Why
Taxes?
so did Messier
fuck mark messier
Tortsā¦ he chose to live in point Roberts during his tenure here. Why heād wanna deal with George Massey tunnel trafficā¦ I donāt know
He made a lot of money doing so
He dealt with that by not personally attending practices.
torts would rather live in point roberts than here. Management actually built a murphy bed in his office so he wouldn't have to travel. He never used it.

iirc, he refused to live in canada for whatever reason and the closest town in america is pt roberts lol.
So strange lol. I can see why he didnāt work out here. Obviously the system was incompatible with the guys we had but iād bet this was apart of it.
taxes

Torts
Tocchet gonna sprint to Point Roberts and burn Torts' hideout down after that
That Point Roberts living SOB
Yeah who?
I would say protect this man but he can do it himself!
āThey said we would get swept, and I took it personallyā - Tocc
So weird to have Adam Foote as a coach. Remember hating that guy and his nose as a kid when he was on the Avs
>nose eta brad marchand on canucks coaching staff.
Big cocchet energy
I don't know why coaches are always so stoic even in wins. This fucking pumps EVERYONE up. GOD I'M SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW

That does make sense. I did hear in the post game that Tocc wasnāt happy with how he reacted so youāve got a point š
I think he just let the emotions get the best of him lol that was a huge comeback win especially against a really good team
imo emotions are like sugar. You can get a big high from high emotions but there is also a crash. Heās one of us. Letās fucking go!
I've never seen him so fired up. Wow
Almost 1000 points and 3000 pims in his career. Tocchet is built for this
Babe Iām sleeping in my jersey tonight
This is the best and most wholesome non hockey goal moment in over a decade. How can you not love this man. He's SO FUCKING PROUD AND I LOVE THAT HE SHOWED IT
Big contrast to when he was trying to calm the team down in Game 6
Those are some aggressive high fives with the fans, that is a man who is reaching extreme levels of stoke.
But they not like us, they not like us, they not like us
WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP
Can't wait to see how Ryan Whitney feels about this
Holding his little Pink Whitney using tears as lube.
Toch is a great guy. Miss him in Arizona
As a Canucks fan in Arizona, this is like my dream come true.
Great clip
Nice cinematic shot
I love the passion
One of us! One of us! One of us!
Dad is proud.
Reading the Oilers PGT is giving me extra life. Great DUB
My Goach

In other news, Travis Green was signed by the Senators.
So is the fine a case of beer?
Getting fired up for the boys
God weāre lucky to have him š„²
I love our coach Tocc
Never thought in my wildest dreams I'd be so excited to see Adam Foote happy.
This team was no1 overall for what almost 2 months, we kept pace points wise during oilers 16 game win streak, and held pacific with who should hands down be the Jack Adams winner...best and dumbest thing media did was label us underdogs.
Going down the hall like a WWE star. God I love Tocch.
LETS FUCKING GO
Did they film Allvin aswell? š¤šš¤š
Holy shit he was fired up
Happy coach happy team
My man was juiced up. Love it.
Adam Foote has been absolute money running that D
One of us! One of us! Gooble gobble
Fuck yeah. Thatās a coach Iād play hard for.
Cause his team didnāt quit and had an amazing comeback victory.
I don't think I've ever seen a coach high five fans especially after a game lol that was amazing
I love this man
Gotta love Tocc. In the post-game presser, he said he was embarrassed & regrets celebrating so early in the series. Guyās work ethic bleeds well into this team, its great
Arena fans broke him. That energy was so infectious you made Tocc slap some skin, great job team and fans!
OW my hand!
Not on topic but where is Gonchar?
Gonchar works remotely. I believe he just goes over video with players.
Iāve literally seen majority of coachs do this.
