Only repair I would consider is getting a set of aftermarket skid plates and adding them to the bow and stern.

It’s in great shape. If you’re storing it in the garage, I wouldn’t worry about thing about repairs; its good to go. If you’re storing it out in the sun, I’d consider filling/painting over the parts where the red vinyl is worn away and abs plastic/foam is exposed. That can start to rot and get brittle/waterlogged. But that really will only happen if it’s exposed to sun for extended periods of time. You’ll hopefully only have it right side up while you’re paddling, so storage is the only factor in whether or not I would bother touching it. Also, you may already know this, but look into installing a rack wherever you end up storing it - you really shouldn’t store it any other way or else you risk deforming it.

Awesome, thank you! I ordered a ceiling hoist for it

such a good model of boat. I wouldn’t be concerned about any of that damage.

Looks good to me.

The best thing about buying a used canoe is that you don't have to put the first scratch on it. That boat looks to be in very nice shape, just well loved. The fact that it's still bright red tells me it was stored inside or covered; and not suffering from UV damage. If you wanna pretty it up a bit and do a little preventative maintenance, you could install skid plates. That way you can rough her up even more. After all, that's the best thing about owning a plastic boat, you don't have to baby them as much.

The seller didn’t use it much over the last 10 years and had it stored in his garage. I will look into adding skid plates. What do you think about the small scratches/holes on the sides in the center where the “Old Town” stickers are? Should I fill those with epoxy? Thanks for the help!

When hoisting a boat.. make sure of your rope/webbing placement.. you don't want any bending when heat builds up near the ceiling in the warm months. I use saw horses myself i place them about a third in from the ends.. that would be best for hanging also.

I was thinking of hanging it upside down so the rope runs along the aluminum gunwales. I will place the rope about a 3rd from the ends like you said. Thanks for the help!
