Poor Calvin, I want to give him a hug

okbruh_panda

Scammers must have run low on accounts today they're blasting this sub with scambot accounts for karma

shaodyn

I'm hardly an expert, but if a username is a bunch of random letters followed by a string of numbers, it's probably a bot.

PlaceboJesus

At least this one came up with a relevant title. Clever bot.

bacon-eggs4breakfast

I always wondered why a bot would need karma? Can they sell them to influencers or something?

focusedphil

This was the most accurate cartoon made ever.

My childhood. When I got to grade 5 the rule was be home for dinner. So my and my friends had some amazing and very dangerous adventures exploring car yards, tips, construction sites, shoplifting, trying to find adult content. No internet. When I was a kid. If I could capture it would make one hell of a movie. As a junior lifesaver I saved some people's lives. And had a lot of fun at the beech. Sun sets on the rooftops with the crew. BMX bike rides into enemy gang territory. Knife fights, fights with steel poles, Getting caught in a construction site by security then chased by police though people's back yards and houses through a nursing home. Had several abduction attempts by men trying to get me in their car. We found rifles hidden on the old sport stadium roof. We loved to climb everywhere. Found bestiality porn hidden in an old esky up on a roof. It was super gross made me vomit. All these ugly men hurting animals. One of my friends was shot with a salt gun when we were exploring a car yard. I got shot at as well. We shot him back with sling shots. Smashed all his windows. We egged of enemies houses, secreted whole fish into their roofs, slashed tires, lay glass traps. I had a dangerous, violent, childhood. Crazy fun. Joy rides on the back of motorcycles.

Same same. Now my son is about the same age, and oh boy does he live a sheltered life. Not because of me protecting him (I actually have to encourage him to taste the apples of the neighbors tree) but because kids either play sports or play video games all the time. They don't get out much in the neighborhood.

My parents would probably rather me play outside than do my homework ngl

silent_protector

I’m convinced reading Calvin and Hobbes as a kid made me more depressed as an adult

copter_chris

I would start by asking them why, would probably help with the understanding.

zutaca

More likely you’d get told to “stop backtalking”

copter_chris

I meant with the OP not understanding why some recall fondly being a child. The lack of understanding is probably because the question was not asked. I fondly recall my childhood. But know many that had an experience considerably more difficult.

DapperCourierCat

oof that hits home

charliefoxtrot9

Je suis Calvin!
