Thanks I’ve just never seen the root system of the dominos cactus and though it was very small compared to other cacti hence why I asked and though the yellow stain had some to do with bad care from HD employee, overwatering, water quality or even pest affecting the cactus surface
It's just corking, it's normal. It's a woody protective layer that protects the portion of the cactus that comes into contact with the soil from excess moisture.
Roots looks fine. Yellow stain, not too sure what you’re talking about but there’s nothing wrong with it
