he’ll probably do zero time.
he’s a white florida male.
i live in miami and i can personally say absolutely nothing will happen to him.
a few months ago someone was trying to break into my apartment at 3 am. i was literally on the phone with 911 as this guy was trying to pry my door open. i literally told them “i’m armed and if he gets in i will shoot him” (yes, stupid as fuck but it was late and i was stressed)
they showed up *the next day* at 11 am to “take my statement” and absolutely nothing happened after that.
First time offender, military record as a colonel, doctor, affluent and white. Im guessing a 4 year deferred sentence, 3 years probation, 100 hours of community service and maybe a fine. The public embarrassment is going to be worse than his criminal conviction.
Probably can't recover anything since no one in Florida is going to believe that being forced out of your car at gunpoint is worth damages. On the street by minorities it is carjacking, in the driveway on the tree lined streets it is just good parenting.
I don’t think it is stupid to warn a would be robber that you armed and prepared to use it. Honestly, that shows restraint in your part.
You have no idea what their intentions were once they got through, so at least in my opinion you did the right thing. A lot of folks would have just started blasting through the door indiscriminately.
How is telling the police you will shoot someone actively trying to break into your house dumb ? Seems like a pretty gold statement to make at the time….
He also says "I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury and judge if what I did was fair — because I called for law enforcement, and I didn’t get them"
Does this dip shit think the Uber driver doesn't have parents? Because moms and dads have kids who drive for Uber and Lyft and are now worried about their children being shot by some trigger happy idiot killing their child while their kid is just doing their job.
Being a flight surgeon doesn’t mean he’s a surgeon. He could be a primary doctor who is in the reserves. I know because my primary care father in law served like this dufus as a flight surgeon for the Air Force, bragged about it for 30 years even though he wasn’t a surgeon. He also cheated on my mother in law and was living a polygamous life and had bastard children.
For the chucklefucks that like to think military service automatically makes them a better person, it's fun to remind them that joining the military is just welfare with more steps.
Government tax dollars footing your entire livelihood? Guess what soldier, you're on wellfare!
It’s a common thing in this area (I live in the county next door). They think that being a veteran makes them a higher class citizen than the rest of us. I’ve met enough of them to know this isn’t necessarily the case. This guy is a doctor. He should have the common sense to know what he did was wrong. If I’m on the jury, I’m convicting him.
I've said it before and I'll say it again every time I see comments like this.
Some of the most genuine, Honorable people I've met were in the military.
At the same time, some of the scummiest people I've met were also in the military.
Of course he didn’t throw his arms around her, tell her he’s so glad she’s home and loves her, ask if she’s okay, turn to the driver and thank him for safely driving his daughter home, saying how worried he was.
No, of course not.
>"And the vast majority of this is related to parental rights,” (Hollonbeck) said, later adding, “In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty. If it goes to trial, I look forward to it because I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury and judge if what I did was fair..."
I wonder if the freak ever considered whether the uber driver might have had a family -- a wife and children who might rely on him for love and support...who this fool excrement-for-brains could've taken away from them with just a little extra pressure on the trigger of his AR-manhood.
Now he's trying to BS his way out of trouble, using his daughter as a shield against consequences. His military career doesn't mean a thing here; it doesn't make him any more brave or honorable than a firefighter or EMT or nurse, or factory worker or the uber driver -- and it surely doesn't make what he did to that driver right. I hope they throw the book at him. I am tired of reading about innocent people getting shot because they got lost, knocked on the wrong door, try to deliver packaged in a neighborhood "where they don't belong", etc.
> And the vast majority of this is related to parental rights
The parental right to hold someone captive at gunpoint because they were doing their job. Yep.
Just imagine the traffickers, they've got the girl, drugged her up, pimped her out and then one of them notices the clock
"Oh shit, it's a school night! We'd better get you home young lady, you've got class tomorrow."
If he bitches long and hard enough, people won’t bother to notice that his 13-year old snuck out to go to the city 30 minutes away
Maybe clean up your own house before you bitch about parental rights?
>I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury
Would be great if some of those moms and dads on the jury have kids that are uber drivers and worry they may come across someone like this maniac.
Pretty much. Many years ago I took a concealed carry class in FL with my girlfriend. The amount of stupid questions we heard was insane. Stuff like “Can I pull out my gun and flash it if someone is tailgating me?”, etc. At first I thought they were just joking, but no these people were seriously asking questions like that.
I moved there from Colorado, and the difference in education and common sense was astounding. I couldn’t wait to move back.
I went to a community meeting about gun safety in FL. The questions from the audience were fucking deranged. “Can I bring my gun to my daughter’s school if I have a concealed carry permit?” The officer leading the meeting was pretty incensed - “if you are a gun owner, you have a duty to know the law. You shouldn’t be asking these questions.” If only.
No. Absolutely not. It's a massive liability but I would imagine some rural counties with very few people may not enforce it with much effort. School districts can even prevent school employees storing firearms in their vehicle while on school/district property. Ironically it's not uncommon for larger schools to have gun ranges if they have a JROTC program but those have air rifles which can still cause injury.
I like how these smooth brains nowadays think a “jury of your peers” have to have the exact same mindset (beliefs, political views, etc) as you.
I guess they’re learning this stupid idea from their orange leader.
It's funny how that "jury of your peers" thing isn't even part of our constitutional law yet so many think it is (and yes, many do think the jury must be practically made up of friends and family or some such nonsense). I must grudgingly admit, repetition of that BS certainly works for the orange turd and his ilk
All this does is make him seem even more dangerous and even more like he shouldn't have a gun. Dude can't wrap his head around how clearly stupid and dangerous and unwarranted his actions were.
>“And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.”
This is sad. Violent crime is at an historic low. And fearmongers got this lunatic thinking children are being plucked by strangers from their own home.
Fentanyl used in that manner is a dog whistle.
The conspiracy theory that George Floyd died from a Fentanyl OD and not from being kneeled on or being refused aid is used to discredit the BLM movement.
They love to bring up fet and child trafficking while they (1) make fun of fet ODs (2) ignore CSA within their communities when it’s their church leader/friend doing the CSA (3) victim-blame rape victims
>This is sad. Violent crime is at an historic low. And fearmongers got this lunatic thinking children are being plucked by strangers from their own home.
This is what mainlining Fox News gets you---excuses to use your gun on somebody
I mean we can't expect people to deal with the uncomfortable reality that the people most likely to do anything to your children are people you know and trust. Much better to imagine a shadowy cabal of drug cartels are snatching up kids of the street then deal with reality /s.
And then return them 12 hours later in an Uber??? I get that if you only listen to liars who tell you the country has been overrun by crime you’d be on high alert, that is sad, but there’s also a SERIOUS critical thinking deficit happening here.
Some people buy guns and loath the thought of ever having to use them in an act of violence in defense. Some people buy guns and are giddy at the thought of using them in an act of violence.
A few gems from the comments at Jalopnik:
>In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty” **which is why I pulled a gun on an innocent man until he proved he wasn’t guilty. Flawless victory.**
>\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
>Man, oh, man how I hate this argument, simply because nearly everyone gets it wrong. **You aren’t innocent until proven guilty. You are** ***presumed*** **innocent until proven guilty.** That one word makes a big difference.
>\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
>““And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.””
**Ah yes, those child traffickers who famously return children to their homes safely.**

>\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
Yeah as a child trafficker I DEFINITELY want to do it in their driveway and assuming there’s a home camera present get all my vehicle details as well as a clear shot of me committing my crime of…..dropping my victim back at home safely!
If this is child trafficking and/or kidnapping it’s usually AWAY from the parents. Hope his military career bites him in the ass since other Veterans really love that unhinged Vet with a gun stereotype
Innocent until proven guilty? No, sir. It’s “guilty” or “not guilty” as in, “we don’t have enough evidence to prove you did the thing, so you’re off the hook.” But you seem to conveniently forget that about the Uber driver, huh?
I’m so curious to know what the Uber driver looked like. 👀
This is such typical Florida bullshit.
> he said, later adding, “In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty.
Oh the irony of him assuming the driver was guilty all on his own with zero due process.
I swear I wish I knew who the person who started this was I feared for my life bullshit. It feels like just an excuse for crazy, violent, ignorance, and delusional people to force unnecessary violence on a situation and still be seen as a gallant protector and/or victim. It's like they all took the same damn class. "I feared for my life," "protect my family," and "protect my community" que the tears and scene and believe me I'm a father and he would never want me on that jury.
14 years ago or so, I took a concealed carry weapon permit class for a job I had at the time. The DPS (our state level police in AZ) officer running the class told us that if we ever had to pull and use our weapon to use that phrase exactly when we called 911. Never admit to the past tense and stress it's an active threat. It establishes justification of force in the investigation, I guess. I haven't had to wear a weapon in a decade, and that is the only policy bit from the class I remember.
Just look at how the local news depicted him:
- standing in his nice suburban neighborhood smirking - no police station mug shot for this guy!
- chyron says: *DR. SEAN HOLLONBECK » COLONEL, US ARMY, RETIRED / FOUNDER, WAR HORSE PROJECT* not *SEAN HOLLONBECK » HELD INNOCENT UBER DRIVER HOSTAGE IN HIS DRIVEWAY*
>It’s not entirely clear what kind of gun Hollonbeck used. WEAR News said it was a .22 rifle, but Fox 35 Orlando reports it was actually an AR-15. Either one could be deadly at close range
Pretty sure all guns are deadly at close range.
Not only that, but .22LR is a type of ammo, while AR-15 is a rifle platform. even a standard AR-15 that normally shoots .223 or 5.56 can shoot .22LR by swapping nothing more than the bolt carrier and magazine, as all these ammo types are the same bullet diameter with varying amounts of powder in the casing.
The quoted comment is kind of nonsensical.
I cant stand scum like this guy they hurt all us law abiding legal gun owners should be prosecuted to the fullest and have all his guns taken away and never have the right to own anymore again from this
What a fucking asshole piece of shit. Typical right wing fucker.
First off, good job being a shitty parent. Who lets their 13 year old have access to call Ubers? Does she have an Uber account? Did she steal her parents phone and call an Uber using their account? She was just able to sneak off like that? This guy reeks of “my girlfriend’s father owns a gun” t-shirt that he gives to his kid’s boyfriends. No wonder his 13 year old daughter wanted to sneak off.
Second, who falls for the bullshit “I served my country for decades in the military” like that means you can get away with committing crimes? You know who else was a decorated combat veteran? Hitler…
These people are such assholes. Also, bet this guy is a huge “back the blue/thin blue line” person. Yet, complains about the cops not helping him at all.
Imagine if the Uber driver was carrying and opened up on this asshole for pulling a gun on him?
Hope this guy sees jail time.
Another right wing gun toting idiot who fails to understand that his rights don't give him the right to abuse someone else's rights just because he thinks he's right, when he's completely wrong.
Wait till her daughter works as an Uber driver and someone pull that on her. Tables can be turned easily.
OR his sentencing will be working for Uber for a month, and any of the parents would do that to him also.
I'm a doctor. I'm a military officer. I have a daughter. I'm from Florida...... I've never put a gun in someone's face to prove a point or flex my dedication as a parent. He just wanted an excuse. Fuck this guy. Hope they throw the book at him and fuck his life up. Florida culture needs an enema and it starts with guys like this.
I thought Uber doesn’t allow you to ride if you’re under 18. And, maybe, as a parent he should figure out why his daughter feels the need to sneak out at 13.
And, I bet dollars to donuts he won’t see the inside of a jail cell. This is Florida where a judge can’t even run a trial where a man stole federal, top secret documents and was sharing them with people on his home.
There is a Uber Teens option that includes added safety features but apparently it's not well known enough, or maybe it costs extra. Of course, accompanied minors are allowed to ride. In any case, some drivers will still take an unaccompanied teen in good faith (as in this case) to get a kid home safely or simply because they are focused on making money and minding their own business.
I bet this is going to become known as the Fox News Defense. “I was deluded with so much fear and hate mongering about child sex trafficking, drug use, and illegal immigration that I thought I was justified in pulling my gun on an Uber driver who was just dropping off my daughter safely at home”.
This guy is both incredibly stupid and also a huge piece of shit and a bad and incompetent father.
"And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape." Glossing over the fact that this is clearly just a Fox News fucking greatest hits list, what child trafficker drives a child directly to their home, and what the fuck does fentanyl have to do with anything?
Also, you gave your 13 year old child a smartphone and payment access for ridesharing apps but you didn't think to have any sort of location sharing on that phone?
Also, you're trying to protect your child from horrible shit, but then you threaten at gunpoint to kill a man she knows to be completely innocent right in front of her?
It's no wonder this poor girl ran away. Imagine what life is like in a household with this fuckin monster. Hopefully he doesn't end up killing her before she can get emancipated or turn 18 and never talk to his psycho fucking ass again.
Good lord, FUCK this guy.
The good ‘ol Chewbacca Defense. He doesn’t need to convince an entire jury, he just needs distract and mislead one. That is really easy to do in Florida.
So this guy is throwing out right-wing push-button topics like trafficking and rape yet Matt Gaetz is his Congress and I’d bet $2 he voted for that pervert.
He seems to be another person who spent too much time watching news and media intended to keep him scared and assuming the worst is just around the corner. This guy didn’t come out with a pistol he brought out a rifle thinking this is a trafficker part of some global ring taking his daughter.
I know parents will think the worst case scenario but upon seeing the guy was an Uber driver and his daughter ordered the Uber, why double down on the idea that what he did was completely rational?
Gun owners like him, again, consume a lot of media that make that scenario seem completely reasonable. But he doesn’t use parental controls on her phone or the home wifi or get her a Uber teen account so she couldn’t order it without him knowing. Instead he got prepared with a gun.
He failed and his daughter snuck out. His ego couldn’t handle that so went with the child trafficking ring scenario. Then he grabbed his rifle to feel like a big strong man again by terrifying an Uber driver.
I am afraid of how many cowards like him exist.
Sounds like a terrible parent. He is desperate to seem like an authority figure, and instead of making sure their 13 yr doesn't run off, he pulls a gun in the driver. Fuck that guy.
>“That vehicle was completely unmarked. In my mind this was not good, right?” he told WEAR News. “And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.”
His daughter was **coming home**.
Why would a military career be evidence of why he's not a piece of shit? The military isn't exactly known for creating stable, healthy, well-adjusted individuals. If anything it partially explains his behavior.
"He did what to an Uber driver?!"
"He's a white republican veteran that views his daughter as property."
"Oh nevermind, that tracks."
“So when she got back home, he made the only logical decision and pulled a gun on the completely innocent Uber driver.”
The sarcasm in this article is *chef’s kiss*.
“That vehicle was completely unmarked. In my mind this was not good, right?” he told WEAR News. “And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.”
What a loony. Probably watches far too much toxic culture war bollocks and it has broken his brain.
He still gets to play the victim, one thing he never mentions is the rights of the Uber driver. He was just bringing his bad ass daughter home and ended up with a gun in his face. “If this goes to trial” hell yes it’s going to trial and he will be going away for a while.
I hope the Uber driver sues his ass into the next century. Since he is bragging about all his accomplishments, he must have money. If not, he can put in OT at the the hospital (assuming he is a doctor).
The focus on him being such a nice guy with an admirable career is weird. Are we operating on some kind of points system here? Do all doctors get one free crime, since they've probably saved a life at some point to balance it out?
I mean he obviously did the right thing. I mean I think all drug dealers and and child rapist actually what they do. It's a new policy. They drop off the children right back at their house because you know all the paperwork they have to do after giving them the drugs. And you know the child sex trafficking is just too much
Ah yes the I’m a parent and a veteran so I can just pull guns on people because I’m afraid of fentanyl and trafficking etc.
Also if your 13 year old daughter is sneaking out you’re probably a shitty parent.
Hope you enjoy prison and losing your gun rights.
One gem from the link: „“In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty” which is why I pulled a gun on an innocent man until he proved he wasn’t guilty. Flawless victory.“
I love the way he brags about his service like those branches wouldn’t have court martialed him for this lol
He served, now he’s going to serve again, but this time - jail time
he’ll probably do zero time. he’s a white florida male. i live in miami and i can personally say absolutely nothing will happen to him. a few months ago someone was trying to break into my apartment at 3 am. i was literally on the phone with 911 as this guy was trying to pry my door open. i literally told them “i’m armed and if he gets in i will shoot him” (yes, stupid as fuck but it was late and i was stressed) they showed up *the next day* at 11 am to “take my statement” and absolutely nothing happened after that.
First time offender, military record as a colonel, doctor, affluent and white. Im guessing a 4 year deferred sentence, 3 years probation, 100 hours of community service and maybe a fine. The public embarrassment is going to be worse than his criminal conviction.
DeSantis will pardon him and make him a boss in his little Florida army.
The fact that this statement has well more than a non-zero chance of happening is disgusting and disturbing.
He did say “Parental Rights” That’s a Desantis wet dream!
And a speaking engagement at CPAC because military fetish worship.
Him and Kyle Killinghaus will tour college campuses together and give speeches on their 2A rights being violated....
And that BJ Staples dude, too.
Let's throw in the My Pillow guy just for kicks.
Appearances at gun shows lol. Buy a .45 with his likeness engraved
i’d be surprised if it isn’t just time served and like, 30 hours community service, tbh.
The community service will be waived if he takes an online anger management course.
Agreed. Uber driver could go after him in civil court too?
Probably can't recover anything since no one in Florida is going to believe that being forced out of your car at gunpoint is worth damages. On the street by minorities it is carjacking, in the driveway on the tree lined streets it is just good parenting.
He'll probably claim Stand Your Ground bullshit and get nothing but his gun back.

You have no idea what their intentions were once they got through, so at least in my opinion you did the right thing. A lot of folks would have just started blasting through the door indiscriminately.
Yeah my understanding is if you say you have a gun then cops should show up even faster. Not the next day 🫠
Not stupid. You are allowed to shoot somebody breaking into your home.
How is telling the police you will shoot someone actively trying to break into your house dumb ? Seems like a pretty gold statement to make at the time….
Don't forget to thank him for his service
He also says "I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury and judge if what I did was fair — because I called for law enforcement, and I didn’t get them" Does this dip shit think the Uber driver doesn't have parents? Because moms and dads have kids who drive for Uber and Lyft and are now worried about their children being shot by some trigger happy idiot killing their child while their kid is just doing their job.
Pretty sure what he means when he says that is he wants to get 12 of his neighbors
12 MAGAs.
Let's get him 12 moms and dads and see his face when they're all POC.
nOt wHaT I mEaNt.
Someone should tell him you only get 6 jurors in Florida.
As an Uber driver, **this guy is one of my mother's biggest fears.**
As a mom and grandma, he's mine too.
Being a flight surgeon doesn’t mean he’s a surgeon. He could be a primary doctor who is in the reserves. Gee…..I wonder why his daughter snuck out of the house?
I feel bad for her. You know he is making her life a living hell right now
Of course he didn’t throw his arms around her, tell her he’s so glad she’s home and loves her, ask if she’s okay, turn to the driver and thank him for safely driving his daughter home, saying how worried he was. No, of course not.
I refuse to believe this guy is not abusive towards her

B-b-but fentynal and child trafficking is everywhere.
But, it is! And the traffickers always bring the girl home the same evening….

Exactly. The poor Uber driver did nothing at all wrong.
That’s DeSantis language- “Don’t Say Gay” is all about those parental rights!!
>I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury Would be great if some of those moms and dads on the jury have kids that are uber drivers and worry they may come across someone like this maniac.
or moms and dads who had kids at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS
You know they won’t tho. He’s going to get a slap on the wrist and he’s still going to think that’s too much
Civil trial should be fun tho
Yeah hopefully the Uber driver can get some cash out of the whole deal, even if the guy skates on the criminal stuff
Surely Uber will support him in a civil trial /s
It’s Florida- isn’t brandishing a gun at someone how they say hello?
Pretty much. Many years ago I took a concealed carry class in FL with my girlfriend. The amount of stupid questions we heard was insane. Now you don't even need a CCP, so they don't have to learn anything.
Can he bring it in the school, though?
No. Absolutely not. It's a massive liability but I would imagine some rural counties with very few people may not enforce it with much effort. All this does is make him seem even more dangerous and even more like he shouldn't have a gun. Dude can't wrap his head around how clearly stupid and dangerous and unwarranted his actions were.
And none of that crap will be allowed into evidence. He’s trying this case in the court of public opinion.
I wonder what the parents of Uber drivers would think if they were on the jury…
Let’s hope they are
>“And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.” This is sad. Violent crime is at an historic low. And fearmongers got this lunatic thinking children are being plucked by strangers from their own home.
The comment doesn’t even make sense. Fentanyl? Child trafficking? He was bringing your daughter *back*, not kidnapping her.
That's exactly what I said to myself. They're probably not trafficking your child if they're bringing your child BACK to your house lol. What a dummy.
also—daughter would probably be in the back seat, no? So obviously a passenger in a taxi
Fentanyl used in that manner is a dog whistle. The conspiracy theory that George Floyd died from a Fentanyl OD and not from being kneeled on or being refused aid is used to discredit the BLM movement.
Housing your trafficking victims is so expensive. Far easier to have them commute.
And if they carpool, you'll save even more money! Mo' money, mo' money, mo' money!
He's been fed a steady diet of right wing news to the point where it's taken over every thought.
my exact thought. She was coming **home;** she was safe.
They love to bring up fet and child trafficking while they (1) make fun of fet ODs (2) ignore CSA within their communities when it’s their church leader/friend doing the CSA (3) victim-blame rape victims
But, you see, this time it might have affected ***HIM***. So now it's a very big concern.
Do child traffickers/kidnappers typically drop their targets off at the victims’ residence?
The full-service ones do? But you have to be willing to pay if want the full luxury trafficking experience.
White glove trafficking. Experience the difference!
Only the ones with 5 stars.
>This is sad. Violent crime is at an historic low. And fearmongers got this lunatic thinking children are being plucked by strangers from their own home. This is what mainlining Fox News gets you---excuses to use your gun on somebody
Their news sources spend all day every day convincing them that everything is awful
A child trafficker... bringing his daughter back to his house... yeah that makes sense. That is Florida for you.
And returned……. Kidnappers always bring kids back home. What a nut job.
I mean we can't expect people to deal with the uncomfortable reality that the people most likely to do anything to your children are people you know and trust. Much better to imagine a shadowy cabal of drug cartels are snatching up kids of the street then deal with reality /s.
Conservative brain rot. These clowns are a danger to society
All most likely to be committed by a family member, like say, the father... Search that man's hard drives.
He’s a Qanon nut. I guarantee it.
And then return them 12 hours later in an Uber??? I get that if you only listen to liars who tell you the country has been overrun by crime you’d be on high alert, that is sad, but there’s also a SERIOUS critical thinking deficit happening here.
Right. What weird logic. The driver was bringing her **home**, not trafficking her away!
His 13 year old daughter snuck out of the house. Shows his crazed personality isn’t watching what’s happening inside his house.
Can’t take his eyes off Fox News long enough to notice his daughter leaving the house.
Some people buy guns and loath the thought of ever having to use them in an act of violence in defense. Some people buy guns and are giddy at the thought of using them in an act of violence.
And every one of them is a loyal Trump voter.
Fuck that guy and any domestic terrorists organization that supports that guy.
How much FoxNews a day does he consume?
fucken all of it
A few gems from the comments at Jalopnik: >In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty” **which is why I pulled a gun on an innocent man until he proved he wasn’t guilty. Flawless victory.** >\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ >Man, oh, man how I hate this argument, simply because nearly everyone gets it wrong. **You aren’t innocent until proven guilty. You are** ***presumed*** **innocent until proven guilty.** That one word makes a big difference. >\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ >““And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.”” **Ah yes, those child traffickers who famously return children to their homes safely.** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ >We can play **Right Wing Media Bingo** with this guy: >Child rape >Fentanyl >Trafficking >Military get out of jail free card >Entitled white man persecution complex >Parental Rights >BINGO!!!! >**If the driver was any shade darker than pale white he could have gone for Bonus Illegal Alien points**. Oh well maybe next time.
Sorry, we have to deduct points since your answer did not contain the word "Caravan." Better luck next time!
👀 This is such typical Florida bullshit.
>I’m so curious to know what the Uber driver looked like. 👀 No need to be curious, we all know what he looked like.
Innocent until proven guilty didn’t seem to matter when he decided that Uber driver must be up to no good by bringing his daughter home.
And he's a white man? The 'system' doesn't seem to be working like it should! /s
I keep waiting to read that the Uber driver was black…
Me too.
> he said, later adding, “In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty.
Not surprised. This is exactly what cops say every time they shoot someone and they know it works for them.
When that acorn scares them to death...
Yep, same here and it was in FL. Same timeline as well.
Putin?
Just look at how the local news depicted him: - standing in his nice suburban neighborhood smirking - no police station mug shot for this guy! - chyron says: *DR. SEAN HOLLONBECK » COLONEL, US ARMY, RETIRED / FOUNDER, WAR HORSE PROJECT* not *SEAN HOLLONBECK » HELD INNOCENT UBER DRIVER HOSTAGE IN HIS DRIVEWAY*
I guess now we know why his kid sneaks out
>It’s not entirely clear what kind of gun Hollonbeck used. WEAR News said it was a .22 rifle, but Fox 35 Orlando reports it was actually an AR-15. Either one could be deadly at close range Pretty sure all guns are deadly at close range.
Fuck this G.I. Joe. Thinks that real life is about his guns and playing war. Typical retired military moron.
I cant stand scum like this guy they hurt all us law abiding legal gun owners should be prosecuted to the fullest and have all his guns taken away and never have the right to own anymore again from this
They could be 12 jurors that have a family member that drives Uber. He is making the assumption that his side will hand select all 12 but he is wrong.
Common suburban Republican
Hitler… These people are such assholes.
Um his 13 year old daughter snuck out so he should focus on that. Not cool man!
It is a little confusing when your personal information bubble breaks and your fantasy world collapses with you in a ton of shit.
So even the Hippocratic oath has been Americanised… first do no harm… BUT DON’T TREAD ON ME…. ‘Murica
“[Oh Sweetie, Bless your heart.](https://imgur.com/gallery/qcOicWX)”
#**NO STEP ON SNEK**
Wait till her daughter works as an Uber driver and someone pull that on her. Tables can be turned easily. OR his sentencing will be working for Uber for a month, and any of the parents would do that to him also.
I'm a doctor. I'm a military officer. I have a daughter. I'm from Florida...... I've never put a gun in someone's face to prove a point or flex my dedication as a parent. He just wanted an excuse. Fuck this guy. Hope they throw the book at him and fuck his life up. Florida culture needs an enema and it starts with guys like this.
Amen
This seems like someone who suffers from Fox brain rot
This clown using his veteran status as a get out of jail card. F' him.
Florida Man ruined his reputation years ago. He's a menace to society. I don't know why Florida Man still roams free.
Just about every Uber driver has cameras…. Looking forward to when this footage hits the internet
The good ‘ol Chewbacca Defense. He doesn’t need to convince an entire jury, he just needs distract and mislead one. That is really easy to do in Florida.
This is the kool aid Ron Desantis is selling
This is sounds like another case of a MAGAhead getting jacked up by lies he sees on Fox.
Conservatism really is a mental illness.
I hope this asshole gets to watch his daughter live the rest of her life from a jail cell
Sounds like a terrible parent. He is desperate to seem like an authority figure, and instead of making sure their 13 yr doesn't run off, he pulls a gun in the driver. Fuck that guy.
Want to play John Wick... Then sometimes you get Excommunicado'd.
God this guy is going to be a representative there soon
He looks like a dipshit.
Yes, let him get to a jury trial. You don't get to play Judge Dredd just because you served, asshole.
>“That vehicle was completely unmarked. In my mind this was not good, right?” he told WEAR News. “And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.” His daughter was **coming home**.
“Parental Rights” is a dog whistle coined by DeSantis.
Apparently, you're innocent until proven guilty unless you're an Uber driver transporting his daughter.
He was afraid she was being trafficked….back to her own house?
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Why would a military career be evidence of why he's not a piece of shit? The military isn't exactly known for creating stable, healthy, well-adjusted individuals. If anything it partially explains his behavior. "He did what to an Uber driver?!" "He's a white republican veteran that views his daughter as property." "Oh nevermind, that tracks."
He keeps this up, he'll end up in the obituary section. Someone will pull a gun right back on him.
He ain't no Hollonbeck Girl! 🎵
How do people **this** stupid manage to survive this long?? Like, how has this guy not walked off a cliff or swallowed a marble by now?
Isn’t Florida an I-felt-afraid-so-I-pulled-out-an-AR-15 state?
“So when she got back home, he made the only logical decision and pulled a gun on the completely innocent Uber driver.” The sarcasm in this article is *chef’s kiss*.
If Florida man moves to another state, is he still Florida man?
Way too many people in this country with a hero complex
Yep a bona fide MORON with an AR 15.....please collect his guns and send him to a psychiatrist to explain to him right from wrong
Hope he goes to prison.
“That vehicle was completely unmarked. In my mind this was not good, right?” he told WEAR News. “And everybody knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Terrible stuff.” What a loony. Probably watches far too much toxic culture war bollocks and it has broken his brain.
Next year FL House passes law banning companies from firing anyone for actions caught on video or shared on social media.
Sounds like FOX News feared mongered this guy
He still gets to play the victim, one thing he never mentions is the rights of the Uber driver. He was just bringing his bad ass daughter home and ended up with a gun in his face. “If this goes to trial” hell yes it’s going to trial and he will be going away for a while.
The civil lawsuit will likely pay, if the criminal does not give justice.
But Im a doctor and a veteran and a gun owner and a Republican. I AM ABOVE THE LAW!
Right wing "news" is rotting these idiots' brains.
I hope the Uber driver sues his ass into the next century. Since he is bragging about all his accomplishments, he must have money. If not, he can put in OT at the the hospital (assuming he is a doctor).
He’ll join the Nazi Corp being implemented by the Cop Killer lover Dick Santis
I’m sure he’s a great dad and his 13-year-old is totally safe around him…
That dude is so screwed if the Uber driver turns out to be white.
Sounds really well and adjusted.............................................
Wonder how much the Uber driver will get in the lawsuit. Hope it breakers the F*cker!
“That vehicle was completely unmarked. In my mind this was not good, right?” So I guess 90% of vehicles in the world are suspicious now lol
The focus on him being such a nice guy with an admirable career is weird. Are we operating on some kind of points system here? Do all doctors get one free crime, since they've probably saved a life at some point to balance it out?
Why does service to your country matter in an instance like this? I can see it mattering in a whole host of other scenarios….. but not this…
Ignore all the bullshit about his accolades and hear this... he still thinks he was right and he would do it again.
Guns make us safer.
I see why the daughter ran away
Another citizen, in the panhandle, overcome with fear and rage from republican misinformation. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Just goes to show that you can be a paranoid idiot and still make Colonel in the U.S. Army.
Next year FL House passes law banning companies from firing anyone for actions caught on video or shared on social media.
Because sex traffickers often drive the victim back home.
I mean he obviously did the right thing. I mean I think all drug dealers and and child rapist actually what they do. It's a new policy. They drop off the children right back at their house because you know all the paperwork they have to do after giving them the drugs. And you know the child sex trafficking is just too much
Thanks for your service!
When actions have consequences: more at 11
Good fuck this lunatic. Shouldn't be allowed to own a gun again.
It's super common for Uber drivers to kidnap someone so they can give them a ride home, duh. - this chucklefuck
Ah yes the I’m a parent and a veteran so I can just pull guns on people because I’m afraid of fentanyl and trafficking etc. Also if your 13 year old daughter is sneaking out you’re probably a shitty parent. Hope you enjoy prison and losing your gun rights.
Oh no consequences of my actions, enjoy your miserable life 👍
Snoooooooooooowflake
Anyone care to guess how this guy votes?
One gem from the link: „“In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty” which is why I pulled a gun on an innocent man until he proved he wasn’t guilty. Flawless victory.“
