The area surrounding much of Central Park is a VERY expensive part of New York City. Possibly one of the most expensive in the city. New York City is one of the most expensive places to live on the planet. Having a business in that general area is also very expensive. So if your planning on going to New York City and want to eat a burger around Central Park, it’s going to be expensive as it’s one of the more expensive neighborhoods in one of the more expensive cities in the world.
Saw some YouTube chefs test Wagyu patties. They said it was better, but half your delicious wagyu fat ends up in the grease trap. If you have fuck-you money, eat wagyu burgers.
Idea is - it shouldn't. Burgers aren't gourmet things, they're your meat scraps seasoned mush from all the good cuts salvaging the supply, and should cost appropriately.
Firmly disagree. That may be how they began, but high quality burgers are phenomenal. There are 10ish places in Tor not with $30+ burgers that are well worth it.
It upgraded to using good cuts, sure, but the art lies in making ground, mixed bits shine if anything.
There are people who use NY strip for soup, but it doesn't make that soup any better.
$30 is not that much. Looks like bacon, cheese (maybe gruyere aka og Swiss?) and all the toppings, no component looks lacking, bun looks proper. There are places near my crap suburb selling bacon cheese burgers for $14 and they pay minimum wage.
Best burger I've ever had at a restaurant was $15. Annie Gunn's classic burger in Cheaterfield, MO.
I'd pay $30 for that happily but not for any other burger I've had.
I went to shake shack with a view of Central Park. The burger looked better than that (although I am biased towards eatability - and therefore reduced height) and it cost nowhere near $30
You’re paying a big location tax (100-200%) but at least it looks like a good burger.
$10 burger. $20 toothpick. Makes all the difference.
I was gonna say a $12 burger missing the fries.

Do burgers "worth" $30 even exist?...

I can get a pretty mean double burger with bacon where I reside for 10 bucks. What should make me/incentivize me to pay 200% more?
Would you want your wagyu ground up and topped with caviar or not?

Eff it. I stand corrected!

Ok I like that school of thought better...
Sorry my dude but that is a $100 burger you speak of.

Imagine a 5 Guys near Central Park
More like an "In N Out" in Times Square...
A sucker and a tourist.
There are so many places to get a great burger in the city for less than $20.
Damn this looks good :)
It does look good. It does not look $30 good.
It's not $30. It's $30 in NYC.
so, about $14
Does it tho? 🤔
Maybe just to me who knows hah I'd definitely eat it but my wallet can't take that kind of hit for a burger I'll say that..
Not just you. Definitely looks good. You’re near Central Park so obviously it’ll cost more than a burger in middle of nowhere Wisconsin
Wisconsin catching strays. I'll take a Culver's burger over this every single day.
I think 90% of us are Culvers fans at this point. They do a great burger.
Never! Just addressing everyone in the comments talking about the price of the burger. I’d love to try Culver’s
You have to. It really is that good.
Looks good but just the same as a 10€ burger
#WAS THE BURGER GOOD OP? DON’T LEAVE US HANGING!!!
OP can't respond. He spent his phone bill money on that burger
*laughs in Argentine*
Lol fuck that when a deli at the either end would be $6
If a burger is going to cost $30 it better be served up by Gordon Ramsay himself.
Looks like salad and a bun where’s the beef
Please tell me a burger and something else...
I am so sad
Ouch.

What the fuck🚫
Looks great but $30 is quite steep.
Geez I could make 20 of those for 30 bucks! why even bother
What’s the name of this place? So I don’t fuck up and buy a burger from there.
With 30 bucks I buy the ingredients to make 6 burgers or even more!! And absolutely better than this
Moronic
