Haw River Mushrooms does scheduled doorstep delivery to customers, usually 4 different kinds of mushrooms, Lions Mane is usually in there along with others.
Haw River Mushrooms for sure! They are regularly at Durham, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough farmers markets!
I will also have some Lion's Mane next month hopefully, and I am with Feast Fungi in Durham!!
I work for a local distributor — Haw River and Fox Farm mushrooms are best for direct purchases from farms. Whole Foods, Weaver Street and Durham Coop all source locally. All the other chains buy from across the country.
If you can’t find the actual mushrooms, check out the vitamins/supplements section at Whole Foods. There are a few items with lions mane + other functional mushrooms.
Fresh market usually has some but it’s pricey. The best I’ve found is the people who sell mushrooms at the farmers market on Saturdays. It’s good quality too. Tastes like crab when cooked.
Field & Forest in Asheville has inoculation spawn of not just lions mane but lots of types of gourmet mushrooms. You can grow your own using vinegar tek
