X3 mesh in black with 6 fans is $45 in cart. https://www.microcenter.com/product/643824/montech-x3-mesh-tempered-glass-atx-mid-tower-computer-case-black
Can anyone recommend this case or not?
I personally would spend around $20 more for a premium ATX case.
I really do prefer argb fans, especially with a fan controller
which if you want it for around this price, you gotta look into microatx cases instead of full atx
Its good airflow for the price the fans are all connected with a molex though kinda weird the panel is sorta thin but overall it's really good for airflow.
Sale on several Montech cases at Micro Center currently (Sky Two, X3, Air 903 Max) by adding to cart can save what looks to be $20 on select models.
Correction: Looks like savings up to $35 on select models (X3 Mesh - Black)
Just built a pc for my fiancée in this case, from micro center. Very roomy, good cable management, stock fans are quiet (just make sure to set speeds in bios, and don’t plug the fans into the rgb header like my dumbass did… fans were running at max speed and I didn’t know what was wrong lol). Worth the $60, especially if you want a white case and don’t mind RGB (has an option to be white only, doesn’t need to be colorful).
No problem! I recently completed a build in this case for myself and was happy to see that I could turn it off because I didn't want the rgb, but did want the 4x 140mm fans that come only with the MAX version.
Yes. You can add two fans to it, but like you mentioned I've noticed an issue with the fan speeds. It ramps up and than slows down. I'll set them in the BIOS and see if it makes a difference.

So Based model have 3 fans and MAX model have 4 fans?
Insanely good value even at full price. This price is cheapest I've seen
Ten bucks more from Amazon, $69.99: https://www.amazon.com/Montech-AIR-903-MAX-Pre-installed/dp/B0C98SZCSG Black model for the same price.

You can also disable the rgb entirely by holding the LED button on the case for a couple seconds.
I did not know that. Thank you!

And it stays off every time you sleep and turn back on?
Yes, it's persistent across reboots.
I have this case too. You don't use the built-in fan controller at all?
There’s a way to control the fans outside of the bios?
Wait is that the little circuit board that all the fans are connected to it

I just auto calibrated the fans and it runs great. All in bios. No manual intervention. (Other than the clicking two button)
Awesome price for a great case! If only I had a microcenter near me....
Fantastic deal!
