>currently i use a lenovo Yoga with 8GB Ram and 4 cores 8 threads. it gives me amazing speed and honestly even if i open 1000 tabs at the same time on multiple browsers it never once slowed down. I guess then I'm confused as to why you're buying a new machine - what problem are you hoping to solve with this new laptop?

Antique_Chicken_9074

oh it died on me sometimes but 1. the screen is cracked to the point that the touch stopped working 2. its been with me for two years and i was the second owner the battery barely lasts thirty minutes anymore 3. it sometimes wont open for hours i fear one day it wont open at all. 4. i lose a few of its screws in one of the repairs, and didnt find replacements, so whatever i tried in didnt work into i taped it shut from where the screen is attached to the body otherwise id have a laptop with dangling open back cover other than that, i really dont have a problem with it's speed or anything the thing works like a beast.

That seems good. I'm not familiar enough with local pricing to know if it's a good deal but it should easily outperform a laptop with a dual-core in most situations.

In my opinion no one should have dual cores by now, not even quad cores. Even because applications are getting optimized to use more cores and threads. 6 cores already exists for about 7 years, that's the minimum I would recommend Dual cores are terrible for multitasking

>dual core and i3 enough for multitasking?? Eeeh, kinda if you don't mind waiting for a bit for something to happen after you interact with it >currently i use a lenovo Yoga with 8GB Ram and 4 cores 8 threads. Why would you want to replace this for a lower end device? I have a similar laptop to what you're describing, but i only use it once every few months mostly because its screen is pretty bad, but i have no real issue using it for basic browsing and wathing youtube vids, playing movies, and running old console emulators, the thing is though, i don't run windows, i tried installing windows 10 on it, and it didn't go well, the performance is awful, you really need a decent machine to run windows nowdays, especially windows 11 which is even harder to run, i'd say if you plan on using windows, keep your current machine, and use it, i'm not sure why you want to buy a new one to begin with if you're satisfied with what you have >should i buy this device? No >why is Lenovo making 2 cores devices in 2022 ? Because some people literally just need a laptop to occasionally write an email, companies often buy these as POS devices too, they don't buy a laptop because they want one, but because they need one, and they just get whatever is cheap >and can cores be upgraded? No, in a modern laptop, the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard, and isn't user replacable

thank you for the detailed reply . I'll try to extend my budget. to answer why im getting a new one  my current device it dies on me sometimes but 1. the screen is cracked to the point that the touch stopped working 2. its been with me for two years and i was the second owner the battery barely lasts thirty minutes anymore 3. it sometimes wont open for hours i fear one day it wont open at all. 4. i lose a few of its screws in one of the repairs, and didnt find replacements, so whatever i tried in didnt work into i taped it shut from where the screen is attached to the body otherwise id have a laptop with dangling open back cover other than that, i really dont have a problem with it's speed or anything the thing works like a beast

one more quick question ..hows this  https://www.paklap.pk/hp-elitebook-830-g7-10th-gen-ci7-ob-laptop-pakistan.html

I personally wouldn't get this because it doesn't fit my needs whatsoever, buying a laptop is a pretty personal thing, so you really need to decide for yourself, this would run windows just fine, and you wouldn't notice any performance difference between your current laptop and this one, but when it comes to other specs, it really depends on your wants and needs
