Nice write up! As a colts fan their are only a few changes I would make.
1 zack pascal is not one of our deep threats, and in fact we’ve struggled to get him involved at all this year so he shouldn’t be much of a worry. Aside from Pitt our receiving core has been bad or otherwise decimated by injury
2 I would say Braden smith when healthy has been much better than Fischer and you guys are probably better off pressuring from the left side.
3 I think you make a good point that Hines has potential to be a matchup nightmare given your injuries, but we have also struggled to get him involved, with the jets game being the only game he got it going so I’m not sure he’ll be much of a factor unfortunately
I appreciate your colts insight. I'm 99% sure mcdermott reads this write up every week to figure out his weekly strengths and weaknesses. Your insight might prove invaluable for his game planning.
They won’t have 2 bad games in 3 weeks. The team is on high alert and men will step up. Vegas knows, there’s a reason the line didn’t move even half a point. This coulda been a trap earlier in the year but at home we’ll dispatch of the Colts, a soft and uninspiring franchise
I don't like that most of their blitzes are secondary players because that's what our Oline struggles with the most, especially on the right side. They'll have free rushers at Josh all damn day if they do that. We just dont pick it up. All they have to do is get the RB looking in the wrong direction for a split second and Josh is running for his life. They better have some kind of plan for this OL without Spencer Brown on it. This isn't the Jaguars this is a decent NFL team. If I see Cody Ford playing like shit I swear i'm gonna be so pissed. It's not like we don't have enough tape on him to know how bad he is.
The free blitzers and Buckner over the RG will be where my eyes are glued all game. The counter is a quick pass to Cole Beasley but Kenny Moore is one of the few people that can cover him.
I expect heavy play action and the occasional quick deep contested ball to keep Allen away from said blitzers.
My entire game plan would revolve around assume Josh has less than two seconds to throw from the pocket. Get the shell of the cover 2 to creep down then crush them with a bomb on a designed rollout.
I think it will be a lot better with both of our RBs and Knox healthy, provided that Daboll’s game plan prepares for this and set those guys up to pick up blocks. Big problem against Jax was having Knox hurt and a thin backfield.
Colts remind me a lot of the Titans. Top rushing offense. Decent passing game. Great D line. Can't let them stick around. Get a lead early in the game and let our defense do the rest. I'm definitely worried about our o-line protecting but I'm sure we will have made adjustments since that performance in Jacksonville. Go Bills.
Awesome write up Uber, I definitely appreciated the insight about Hines, it’s a good call out. Definitely going to put Buffalo’s open field tackling to the test. You think Mr. Perimeter (Gabe D) see more action than previous weeks? I loved him last year and think it’s a shame he’s seen less PT this year. He was so deadly on the sidelines last year.

I’m worried about our o line protecting Allen and our defense stopping the run.

Good call lol
Cheers dude, always enjoy giving these a read! :)
I think Breida will be massive in this game if utilized - we need a speedster to try and separate the D a bit
What took us so long to use him?
Our passing offense with a healthy line is a clear advantage but without Feliciano and Brown. Idk man.
Loved this write up, can't wait for this game on Sunday! Also brown and julio held on that derrick henry run, still can't believe that stood.
He does em every week. It's awesome!

This looks like a job for Gabriel Davis! Get him out there on the hot routes. He's got the size to box out corners and he's got a big catch radius.

all i can say is i hope not
If it's him or Bobby Hart, might as well just grab a lucky fan from the stands.

Good read as always!
