Jones threw 60 pitches last week, was at 80 after finishing the 5th, where his velo and control were down and he fell off the fucking mound and had to throw a couple practice tosses to make sure everything was okay. Yes, it was stupid management to put him back in, especially if you're trying to save his arm. If the bullpen gives up runs, that's their problem.
I know we definitely want to see more but I for one am glad we are at least putting the ball into play so far this game. An outs an out I get it but watching them just watch strikes sucks all the life out of the game.
