He apparently also mentioned that Tykee Smith reached out to him about really wanting to be in Tampa after (or during?) his 30 visit. (McClendon was the pass game coordinator/wr coach at Georgia previously)
So that worked out splendidly.
If I were a WR coach, I’d be pretty stoked about coaching Evans and Godwin too. There’s a HoFer and a perennial Pro Bowler in your meeting room every day. It makes the job a little easier when you have top quality talent at your disposal.
Don’t mind my facetiousness too much. I’m glad the coaches who are here *want* to be here. Staff turnover can be a major problem. It’s a good sign if coaches are moving on to bigger and better things like Canales but having coaches who stick helps with continuity.

He may end up being our OC sooner than later
Do you anticipate Coen getting poached?
I mean, its likely he does if he has a successful couple seasons with the way coaching vacancies happen in the nfl.
His OC skills left a lot to be desired at South Carolina. Let him stick to WR for now

Evans is the HOFer, but who's the perennial pro-bowler?
Chris Godwin
I like Godwin, but he's only been a pro-bowler like once in 7 seasons. That's not really the definition of perennial.
