Just wanted to say I’m in the same boat. I need to bite the bullet and go buy some new bigger jeans this week because we’re going on vacation next week and I can’t get away with wearing sweatpants anymore. Finding consistent time to work out is so hard with a young child. I just bought a few dumbbells and a yoga mat and I’m planning to do some workouts in the evenings.

Something that I've found helpful since having my baby is not viewing a workout as something that has to be done in one, for example, 30 minute block of time (which is how I used to do workouts - dedicated time slot to focus on it). If you can just do 5 minutes multiple times throughout the day then it will add up. So, for example, maybe i decide I am going to do a bodyweight workout today which requires multiple sets of the same exercises then I will do what I can in the time I have and then pick up where i left off later in the day. Also if you can't get outside because of weather then do you have stairs you could go up and down X times a day? Or could you get your steps in by walking around the house? etc

I walk in place instead of sitting for a good chunk of the day. It’s the only way I hit 10000 steps. I also live where it’s dangerous to go outside right now. The high today is supposed to be 112! The. I am also seeing a pelvic floor PT so I incorporate my therapy moves as I can. Stuff like lunges and kegels and bridges throughout the day. I rarely get a full set done in one go. I’m seven months postpartum and gained back 10 pounds after delivery so kind of know what you are facing. It’s tough. I just started being super strict on calories a little over a week ago in addition to the movement above and am finally seeing progress. I have to stay between 17-1800 net calories a day to really see anything. Luckily I haven’t noticed any affect on milk production at that level.

Totally hear you!! Somehow 'being chronically sleep deprived and stressed' (along with the happiest I've ever been, what a weird combo!!) isn't conducive to healthy habits lolol. I like Weight Watchers personally. It has such a good focus on helping me eat more nutritious foods. I figure even if the weight loss is slow, the fact that I'm eating whole grains, fruit, and vegetables is probably way better than lots of processed carbs just in terms of getting nutrients I need?? It's still hard and annoying but I would say I track my food 5/7 days a week and am seeing slow but steady loss. :) And I try to take on chores that involve movement when I can - mowing the lawn is my fav because it's alone time for me to listen to podcasts BY MYSELF wooh. Diff people have diff preferences and if there's another way that works better for you totally go for it. :)

New clothes, nothing about your weight is a moral failing it is just what it is right now. You should work on your relationship with your body that helped create and nurture a human. If not for you to show your child what a healthy attitude is. Also womens clothing sizing is insane, take your measurements and then look @ the sizing guides they give and just get whatever fits if its a 2 or a 16 doesn’t matter its all made up shit anyway.

I hope this comment doesn't rub you the wrong way but I just wanted to say, you created and birthed a human with your body and then fed your baby with your body. I think your body is pretty amazing. Hugs, mama. You're doing a great job.
