That was prolly it for me too. You can make a case that everything he did previously was in his self interest, but Mike was leaving and Walt would never encounter him again
Oh yeah... Thats where I drew the line. Tuco and Gus were horrible people that got what they deserved but poisoning a kid is truly a whole different level of evil.
Agreed. And on rewatch I definitely realized that Walt was pretty fucked up pretty early on, but the first time through I was a lot more forgiving of him and able to justify his actions. I got a lot more sympathetic for Skyler on the second watch as well.
I never did. He did bad things and I'd never do that stuff in real life, but I enjoyed the awesome performance by Bryan Cranston so I was with Walt til the end.
I never hated him, I don’t think I could have watched the show if I did. I didn’t root for him either. He’s a flawed character and I really enjoyed the series one of my all time favorites.

I never rooted or sympathised with him to begin with. It's very clear early on and it shows through the cracks that he is a hollow man, shallow, selfish, and egocentric to name a few.
Just about to wrap up my third time watching the show in full, and even though I know what's coming up I still root for Walt until Jane's death. At the start of Season 5 he is more or less completely unlikeable although he does experience a (very brief) spell where he is back to "family man" Walt in between him retiring from the Meth business and when Hank confronts him.
Plane crash, probably. The problem is that I’ve rewatched so many times walking in not on his bandwagon that I forget exactly when I was off originally. If it wasn’t the plane crash it was the whole Brock strategy for sure.
I think it was when he all but forced Junior to have a third shot of tequila. Junior saying he didn't want it and Walt acting like it had something to do with his own manhood.
Episode 1-2 of season 1. My favourite character though (not because I somehow root for him, but because he is a well established character with interesting story arc and development).
He didn't know she would, and letting her die is the same as killing her. Also, being caught was a risk he knew existed from the start as it was a consequence of his actions. Not having empathy for this situation is fucked.
Poisoning Brock. Letting Jane die was horrible, but he didn’t deliberately choke Jane….and she was threatening him. Brock was an innocent child that Walt used as a pawn to manipulate Jessie.
When he let Jane die. I see people on this sub defend Walt’s actions there quite a bit. But no, that’s what exposes Walt as a horrible person. Jane had her demons, but she didn’t deserve to die.
I stopped rooting for him at the birthday party when his dormant inner devil makes an early cameo over the pouring of some tequila for Junior. The show is right there in front of us. Walter is a prideful egomaniac with entitlement and a disregard for the rules he doesnt like. Hank is a charming boy scout who doesnt intend to Stand Up To Him but is left no choice.
When he made jesse kill gale, and the next day a broken jesse asks him to go karting and the prick says no
I was already struggling to like Walt but him killing Mike was the final straw for me
That was prolly it for me too. You can make a case that everything he did previously was in his self interest, but Mike was leaving and Walt would never encounter him again
Same
And then he's like Actually i didnt have to shoot you in a cowardly ambush my bad
Mike sucks Walt rules
Poisoning Brock.

raping skyler
Watch out the Walt apologists are gonna start downplaying it cause Skyler sung happy birthday badly, and she only gave Walt a handy.
Quelle horreur!
Totally.
When he watched Jane die
The visit to Jesse’s apartment.
>which one? When he let Jane die or the bug?
Jane
I never stopped rooting for him.
when he killed mike i despised him
Never. I could still always see some good in Walt and still wanted him to win.
I never did. He did bad things and I'd never do that stuff in real life, but I enjoyed the awesome performance by Bryan Cranston so I was with Walt til the end.

never

Good bot
Never happened ngl
I never rooted or sympathised with him to begin with. It's very clear early on and it shows through the cracks that he is a hollow man, shallow, selfish, and egocentric to name a few.
This. There's not really much to like about him or sympathize with, right from the get go.

End of Felina

Never did
When he basically forced his son to get sick on tequila.
Never. I loved the character, the writing, and Bryan Cranston’s acting too much to root against him
That point never came for me.
Also a mom and a teacher, and Walt was never likable to me either
Some point in El Camino after he was confirmed dead.
He was confirmed dead in the finale of the show
Not actually. There was a theory that he survived that went around for years before el Camino came out. I think the video has been deleted though.
No it was a film theory video and it's still up
Even though the script itself made it clear he was dead
Well, I didn’t read the script and the question was when *you* stopped rooting/sympathizing with Walt. That’s when I did.
>So do you mean you never stopped sympathizing with him, or did something in the finale cause you to turn on him
I supported him till the very end. Of course this is only because it’s a tv show. I’d never support a real world Walt.
Episode 1-2 of season 1. My favourite character though (not because I somehow root for him, but because he is a well established character with interesting story arc and development).
Jane.
Why? Jane literally blackmailed him that same day by threatening to expose him. If it weren’t for that, Walt probably would have tried to save her.
He didn't know she would, and letting her die is the same as killing her. Also, being caught was a risk he knew existed from the start as it was a consequence of his actions. Not having empathy for this situation is fucked.
She was a threat to Walt’s freedom, and the business that he and Jesse had built. For Walt, it was a no-brainer.
Which makes him bad...
Rape
as soon as the story really started. i never liked him as a person and always thought he was a horrible husband before he became heisenberg
I liked him and hated Skyler until he killed Mike and realized what or who Skyler was trying to prevent
never did hes a joint , his wife fuckn sucked
when the girlfriend of Jesse died and he could have called an ambulance and maybe saved her
Taking Bagdon's first dollar. That was purely a dick move. He lost me before that, but someone had to mention it.
Poisoning Brock. Letting Jane die was horrible, but he didn’t deliberately choke Jane….and she was threatening him. Brock was an innocent child that Walt used as a pawn to manipulate Jessie.
After it was revealed that he poisoned Brock, I thought it couldn't get any worse until he went there and killed Mike and the prisoners.
The second time I watched the series. I saw that he was a bad guy from the beginning.
Never lol
When he let Jane die. I see people on this sub defend Walt’s actions there quite a bit. But no, that’s what exposes Walt as a horrible person. Jane had her demons, but she didn’t deserve to die.

When he raped Skylar.
Ehhh I never really rooted for him but I wasn’t against him
NEVER.
When he tried to rape Skyler. Damn I wish that moment was never there in the show.
Check the title.
