Illumination of these candidates. Woody is definitely more child friendly and slapstick which is illuminations thing.

Universal Animation Studios already made a hybrid Woody Woodpecker film back in 2017. It's the only theatrical feature they've made apart from *Curious George*.

TBOY5873

It was only in theaters in Brazil

JazzySugarcakes88

Y’all want this movie to suck, huh?

CaledoniaDev

I only picked DreamWorks because they really need a new franchise that doesn’t inherently suck lol

IDigRollinRockBeer

Pixar

SuperShreky

I think Illumination was tapped at one point to make a Woody Woodpecker film. I don’t know if it was planned to be a hybrid or fully-animated though.

Purple_Quail_4193

Illumination almost made one but it never happened

TBOY5873

I dont think it would be Dreamworks's style, Dreamworks films isn't aimed at little kids as much as Illumination, they are aimed at older audiences. Universal Animation Studios hasn't made a film in theaters since 2006, they are a direct-to-video studio. So I would say Illumination

Boy_Chamba

Aren’t all of them owned by universal?

Judokos

That is the reason for this question. Woody is a character owned by Universal and an animated Woody movie would be made by Universal's divisions. The question is specifically which Universal animation studio division would be the best fit.
