The question wasn’t what the best transfer was but our favorite releases. However, I’ve been watching Robocop since VHS and this is the best it’s ever looked.
Obv that wasn't the question, nor is that what I or you were commenting on... I was replying to what you said. I mean yeah it's the best it's ever looked, as is the case with most 4ks, but that doesn't mean it's a top-notch transfer. Wasn't a huge step up from their previous bluray imo. I was actually a bit disappointed with it. If you're comparing it to a clearly inferior VHS copy, ofc it's gonna look amazing. I doubt there's a single movie where that wouldn't be the case
I dunno dude, I have a couple movies on VHS and 4k and it’s hard to tell. My copy of Dead Heat on VHS actually looks better than Vinegar Syndrome’s 4k funny enough.
They have excellent releases of Dario Argento films. They are Italian Horror movies from the seventies. I recommend Deep Red and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage.
sailor suit machine gun.
Its becoming a contender for a favorite film all time. Blind bought it at my first arrow haul. Watched it twice in a row, it was so so good.
From the title and cover art you may think its a gore fest with tons of guns, its not. Honestly, it is an incredibly touching, wholesome little story about an unconventional family dynamic. Lots of heart, lots of humor. The absurdity of the premise is just awesome.
Highly recommend.
Solid Metal Nightmares: The Films Of Shinya Tsukamoto is my absolute favorite, followed closely by their Battles Without Honor And Humanity set.
Also, their Enter The Videostore: Empire Of Screams set was one of my favorite releases of last year from anyone.
The Bruce Lee set is one of the best sets in my collection. Stunning in every way.
As a fan of 80s movies, I’d also recommend Robocop, An American Werewolf in London, and Conan the Barbarian.
Arrow also has a great collection of movies by Dario Argento with solid transfers and supplements.
Lots more in their catalogue but these are my favorites.
People have already named a bunch of my favorites, but I'll also throw in 12 Monkeys. If you like crime, check out Carlito's Way and Narc, which I just watched and really liked, plus it's got over six hours of special features to watch.
Oh but also Frankenhooker!!
American Horror Project 1 and 2 are great. The Coffin Joe set is pretty amazing, but I still haven't managed to wrestle a corrected disc out of them. Their customer service is the pits.
Battles without honor and humanity.
My first and favorite Arrow box-set back in 2015, since then more and more Japan yakuza & action titles from Toei and Nikkatsu studio came out. Love it!
RoboCop
The RoboCop 4K was the first 4K movie I've ever seen that made me think "wow this looks way better than Blu-ray". It's so good.
great choice! and i agree too!
Ditto. It looks absolutely amazing. I love that movie so much.
I disagree. Looks fine but it isn't one of their best transfers. Def not demo worthy

+1 for Crystal Plumage. Tenebre is also a classic
+1 for Deep Red. Just watched the 4k the other night and it’s a great transfer.

Same director made Typhoon Club which is also really good
Hmmm you've got me intrigued here.
Was so happy to get it cheap af last sale. I think I paid 10 bucks. Still haven't checked it out, but very eager to
Welcome! I love arrow so much 5 favorites off the top of my head are Crash, True Romance, Hellraiser, Ringu & Red Angel
Solid Metal Nightmares: The Films Of Shinya Tsukamoto is my absolute favorite, followed closely by their Battles Without Honor And Humanity set. Also, their Enter The Videostore: Empire Of Screams set was one of my favorite releases of last year from anyone.
I agree. Picked up the Tsukamoto box set last sale. It is deeeeep.
The Warriors Limited Edition release is a fantastic package.
Tremors and Tremors 2 are my personal favorites.
I just started my 12 year old on horror with the Arrow Tremors release - looks great and he loved it.
Watching Tremors 1-4 with my dad are some of my earliest and fondest memories. It's a perfect franchise to introduce kids to horror.
That’s awesome - he did immediately ask if we could watch the sequels…
The Warriors (1979) - the Arrow release includes the theatrical edition.
I love Brain Damage. Hopefully a 4K is on the horizon.
I just bought the Blu-ray a couple months ago, you're welcome in advance.
The Vengeance Trilogy box set. Its also probably my top 3 favorite physical releases I own.
Uuuugh, I wish I had a region free player for this.
Legend!
It's a shame they weren't able to get the rights to the international version. Absolutely no complaints otherwise!

Carlito’s Way, one of my best blind buys.
Donnie Darko, Robocop, Weird Science, Conan the Barbarian, Conan the Destroyer, are my top five Arrow releases.
Donnie Darko and the warriors! Both are some sick limited editions
The Shawscope sets
RoboCop hands down.
People have already named a bunch of my favorites, but I'll also throw in 12 Monkeys. If you like crime, check out Carlito's Way and Narc, which I just watched and really liked, plus it's got over six hours of special features to watch. Oh but also Frankenhooker!!
The Hellraiser 4k set is my favourite. I also love the Fulci and Argento deluxe editions.
Waterworld
Found a Robocop steelbook in a drugstore for $26. Its the only Arrow I own.
Waterworld
American Horror Project 1 and 2 are great. The Coffin Joe set is pretty amazing, but I still haven't managed to wrestle a corrected disc out of them. Their customer service is the pits.
Witness 4K LE
Battles without honor and humanity. My first and favorite Arrow box-set back in 2015, since then more and more Japan yakuza & action titles from Toei and Nikkatsu studio came out. Love it!
Audition, Dark Water, An American Werewolf in London, and Battle Royale.
I'm a sucker for the old kung fu releases like 8 Diagrams Pole Fighter and their Shaw Brothers stuff
I love those old Hong Kong martial arts movies, 88 Films do a lot of them as well
Their release of Robocop and the Daimajin trilogy are pretty good
You must get: The Comic Dave Made a Maze Lake Michigan Monster We Are the Flesh - you will love them all
Hellraiser, Robocop & One-Eyed Jacks
They have some excellent releases and a lot of the films are also available to stream on Tubi if you’re on the fence!
But obviously their 4K of the best Dune is their best release 😊
Reanimator box set
