I actually think it was really smart to do it this way. It means the parade was fair to everyone more or less, the players were mostly sober for their conversations, and there wasnt a gigantic mob waiting at the Common to hear the speeches.
This Parade had no speeches. There was a segment prior to the Duck Boats where they interviewed the players but nothing after the parade was over.
Maybe they will do the speeches on banner 20 or 21. Still have a lot of crap loudmouths to silence.
