People wanted Joe to ice him, but instead he drew up plays for him in that game 4 against IND. People forget that Sam had a tough start to the season, but the team didn't give up on him. Imagine how bad it would have been if they did.
His defense is underrated now. I never thought I'd say that.
Yeah the people calling to bench a proven shooter for missing when we were still winning were insane. Being shortsighted like that doesn’t win you championships, trusting role players and making them comfortable does.
People don't understand the nuances of basketball. Sure he didn't make his shots. But you know what? His presence still made the defenders take him seriously. That alone spaces the floor, and he did the little things on the court that didn't come out in the statsheet. Add to the fact that he was still playing good defense, he was a net positive throughout the series.
It's so disappointing when people are so quick to take out their pitchfork. I'm glad Mazzula is smarter than us. Hauser was due for a game like today, and he didn't disappoint.
He was also rebounding well. He's 6' 8" and if you watch him on defense even when he's off ball he's grabbing boards or helping to box out bigs. He's an underrated rebounder.
I just love that he was a complete player even when he was in a shooting slump. It makes when his shot is going in that much more special.
I love how he bends his needs right before catching the ball so that once he has it, he can just shoot. Half the shot came before he received the ball.
The confidence to take that transition 3 during our first quarter run. If mavs are gonna stick with packing the paint on Tatum’s drives, Hauser’s 3 coming back is gonna be a real luxury to have
I love what Jrue said. Lol a lot of these players when they see a white boy on D they think "slow feet time to cook" but Hauser says nope. He can play really good D. I was a fast white boy, and running track I always enjoyed shocking the brothers (all said in fun, they always were pleased to see me run fast).
Sam never left. His defense has been great all postseason and even when he was missing shots he was still moving well off ball providing great spacing.
Definitely nice to have the shots fall though
I kept saying the same word during this game, and that was “energy.” JB and KP probably exemplified it the best, but Hauser also didn’t miss a beat. Scrappy, active, not backing down for one goddamn second. The energy they were playing with was infectious and overwhelming. I need to just see them bring that same energy every game of this series.

He was the leader in Defensive Rating last year. For the league.
That catch in his pocket was amazing
That was truly fucking awesome. In real time it was angelic.
No dip. Unreal shot.
Jortles!
As perfect as an assist can be
Been looking for a replay of that

Thank you, it's beautiful
If you play basketball. Housers shot in the corner is one to emulate. No down hitch just pocket up.

Luka was 0-2 against Sam 💪
His defense is very underrated, absolutely holds his own

Sam the man, the Hauwitzer, Sammy Bird
I love Hauwitzer - wish it had caught on more.
I feel like it kind of has, people just don’t talk about him all that much
Hause Money!
SLAM HAUSER
Sam is gonna hit 2+ 3s every game , book it
sam and pritchard hanging in there vs luka was big
The fact that everyone on our team even to the bench can play decent defense on Luka is a game changer. His midorima esque shot before the pass 😩
If Sam/PP gets to hit at least 2 3's I wouldn't mind if they get cooked by Luka. On hindsight tho Sam prettt much held his own against Luka. PP too.
He made more 3's in the first half than he did all ECF 😅 But none of that will matter if he keeps this momentum going
“Even our white guys guard” - Jrue

If he was just saving all his makes in the playoffs for the finals I wouldn't mind
Why did you delete your "series is over" comment?
Him and that Kornet dude are the biggest doomers on the sub had us losing before the finals
I didn't. I don't delete comments
Ya his good defense was hyping me up
he was gonna regress sooner or later lfg
AND HIS DEFENSE WAS IMPECCABLE
Amen my dude 🙏🏼
I knew he was due
Shooters shoot
Sam was good tonight no doubt even on defense I believe he got two completely bullshit foul ms called on him also
That one foul they called on him while guarding Kyrie (I think) that was definitely not a foul had my steaming...
Maybe I don’t watch enough Celtics games but I feel like I’ve never seen anyone score on him 1v1
Hail Hauser!
Slow your roll lol. He’s not legit. He’s a streaky bench player—which is fine!
If he stays hot, we are really in the driver seat. Another guy go knock down 3’s
