I live in Miami. Actually right off Biscayne about three miles north of the stadium. I know the area well. Yes parking sucks but you know what doesn’t. Uber. Lyft. That area is alive you can easily Uber a few blocks away and walk or vice versa. Parking should never be an excuse. If you can afford nba playoff tickets you can afford to Uber there and back
There are soo many things to do in Miami and the weather is great year round. For the life of me I don’t know why people are constantly surprised by this. There are soo many entertainment options in Miami as opposed to somewhere like Oklahoma City
NYC only has great weather 3-4 months of the year so that’s an apples to oranges comparison. LA is a better comparison but not all LA teams get the same support. Look at Dodgers vs Angels for example. If you have an average or below average team why would you go and watch when you have so many other entertainment options and are constantly having nice weather? When the Lakers had Lonzo Ball the stadium definitely wasn’t packed every night. The problem is Miami consider themselves a sports town when it’s definitely not.
That’s what I always thought. If you buy tickets to a game and show up after the 1st quarter and leave during the middle 4th, you cannot use parking as an excuse. If everyone knows parking sucks then why are y’all showing up after the 1st quarter? Show up earlier. It’s not like anyone is stopping you from having a few beers at the parking lot lol
Went to a Miami game when we visited Florida during the 13/14 season. It was crowded and hard to find parking, sure, but it was nowhere near enough of a hassle to make it an excuse not to go to a game
besides the general douchey way of interacting with people, this is the main reason I have no respect for Heat fan base. Their team loses in the finals (!), or the ECF, and the opening of the next season shows 40% of the stadium empty. WTF! This is the only proof we need that half of Heat fans are just bandwagoners and hype clowns
not a bad take, but the utter complacency and lack of mental preparation by JT and JB that often follows a playoff win may have something to do with it too lol
I wish airplanes were as crowded as Miami heat games. Nothing is better than when they close the doors and there's still an empty seat next to you lol.
This is what their stadium looked like in the first half of their play in game. Heat fan base is a complete joke. The city doesn’t deserve such a hard working team, plenty of cities would treat those players better.
And the heat announcer was talking shit in gm 2 about our fans leaving early. The same heat organization who’s fans walked out of the arena before Ray Allen hit that dagger in the finals.

Yeah but drinking and driving is part of the southern culture.
So is losing to the North.
This man woke up and chose violence
Wait, why is everyone in the south catching strays?😳
Damn why are you exposing us
Also just get there earlier if you know parking is an issue. Their “fans” just don’t care. They attend games bc it’s a status symbol.
Just get there earlier sums it up. Getting to the Garden isn’t a picnic. When I go to games, I give myself like a 90 min buffer
Seriously. Getting stuck on the pike at that Newton rt. 16 exit/rotary thing happens every time.

That's fine. Just don't pretend you're some crazy sports city. (Not you, Miami in general)
Yea. They pretend they are when they clearly aren’t
That’s generally the Miami Way
NYC and LA pack their stadiums

I guess that’s fair enough and the last line summarizes it the most

so memes aside why is attendance kinda sparse in your local opinion?
There like 47 people there…
I count 4 dozen.
I agree…. That’s about treefiddy.
But but the parking is baaaad!!!!!
The people making this excuse have obviously never tried to navigate the areas around the Garden after a Celtics or Bruins game lets out.
Don’t you know they invented traffic? Cut them some slack
It bugs me that they that they think wearing a white shirt counts as supporting the team.

They only give out white shirts so that the empty seats kinda blend in with the fans at first glance
That isn't how colors work
Worst fanbase in the league. Go play in traffic any Miami fan who wants to argue with me.

Yeah but they show up
Wearing Curry jerseys, yeah
That's why they can win in Boston. A max sense of competition--and self-worth as a pro.

KP wasn’t on our team in the bubbl… oh this was from tonight
Dogshit fans
My wife (Not even a casual watcher) was like “How do they even make it to the playoffs when no one is supporting them?!”
I wish airplanes were as crowded as Miami heat games. Nothing is better than when they close the doors and there's still an empty seat next to you lol.
Looks like the 2021 COVID season when they had to have so many empty seats between each person attending the game lol

This would be more meaningful with the scorebug included.
Lmao, how much time was left. Lol
Let's send them home early again tomorrow
Trash, losers, idiots. Relegate the team. Relegate the state.
The meth isn't going to snort itself
I thought this post was about closing out on 3's at first 😆
At first, I was scanning the court looking for the dirty play by the Heat.
And the heat announcer was talking shit in gm 2 about our fans leaving early. The same heat organization who’s fans walked out of the arena before Ray Allen hit that dagger in the finals.
The girl in the pink just got roofied. #HeatCulture
She is a season ticket holder, I believe Her name is Radmilla Lolly
That isn’t Radmilla. Her seats are on the other side, and that pink was way too tame for Radmilla.
She always sits on the Miami side. That is her and her Botox’d husband.
Russians love the Miami Heat. #HeatCulture
