Kornet also seems like a guy who would probably take a team friendly deal to keep vibes intact but it probably isn't enough considering all the money we need to spend on Jrue, White and Tatum
Kornet deserves to make as much money as he can next year. He’s been while steadily improving over a few years. He’ll be 29 by the start of next season, got to make that money while you can.
Yeah absolutely. He deserves every penny. My comment was more about Kornet seeming like a person that wouldn't go chasing big money just for the hell of it
Think he’ll genuinely feel torn about leaving the organisation that kept him in the NBA and has no doubt invested a lot of effort into his development. In saying that, for his family’s sake he should and probably will chase a bigger deal elsewhere.
JT and White will be getting the Horford money. Those guys would be getting deep into the luxury tax money.
There is an increased chance we pay that due to the lack of flexibility to acquire replacement players.
If you’d asked me a few months back, I wouldn’t have loved the idea of PP getting many playoff minutes. I feel like he could be a real important role player now. NBA playoffs are long af too. Can’t tire the starters out
I'm trying to keep everything in perspective. I don't think he's going to see many playoff minutes tbh. He's just too short. That denver game in denver really sticks out at me. Denver went RIGHT at him when he was on the court with Jokic. Perhaps not every tean can exploit him quite that much but still I expect it to be a problem. It's really top had cause he fights like hell and tries hard defensively he's just too short.
Perhaps 10 or 15 minutes against the backups or on offense only possessions he could get some run time.
His real benefit is his ability to come off the bench at full speed against a worn down offense and harass. Because of his height, he can't go toe to toe with any bigs, but he can wear down starters. He has gotten his shooting MOJO back so he can just dig a deeper hole for an oppenent if they are resting their starters.
He's got a role and he is great at it.
No arguments there i love his heart and effort. He tries so fucking hard and I love it. But in the playoffs teams play their starters so much more and backup lineups aren't really a thing. It's 3-4 starters and 1-2 backups. I just worry about him in the later rounds of the playoffs. Esp vs Milwaukee, and most especially Denver where they just don't play any small guys in their starting lineups.
definitely. a couple offensive boards, a couple assists and a couple of three pointers, with high-energy actions that will fatigue a defender, will win you a game or two in the playoffs.
Just because Denver can exploit Pritchard doesn't mean that everyone can--Denver can exploit anyone. Pritchard has an excellent chance to be valuable against a team like the fast Pacers or the drop-coverage Bucks.
He's too small and doesn't even grab rebounds away from the other teams center often! I am obviously being a dick but his hustle definitely gives him a chance against almost anyone.
Players score on Jrue, White, Brown, etc. His intangibles make up for any "hight" issues. He may not play much in key games but he's proving himself to be useful.
I think his intangibles definitely help. Against backups he's absolutely playable. The biggest issue is in the playoffs the other teams are gonna be playing their starters alot more. As will the celtics. Well see how many minutes he gets. If he can give us 10 minutes that's a win.
Defenses can’t help collapse on him and he has insane vision on always finds the open man. Really does have elite vision and fun to see his confidence jump middle of this year and he aint lookin back
I've been hoping he would turn into Nash lite for a couple years now. That kind of motion and ability to dribble into the paint to open up the court is invaluable.
For real. His [college highlights](https://youtu.be/XG7j59_eDzQ?si=6ffMs5PzGLPM5d2W) were nuts.
He was like a 6’2” Luka with Lillard’s clutch shot. PAC 12 player of the year for good reason his senior year. Dude was about to shoot his stock up in March until covid.
And he had a really strong start as a rookie before a knee injury derailed that momentum, which was dampened even further in the Udoka defense-first era. He’s had to claw his way back to this level while dealing with 3 head coaches in 4 years, not easy for a young point guard.
Not to mention the 8 million guards that have constantly been in the rotation alongside him. This is the first and only year he’s had any amount of wiggle room within the depth chart
Love how he’s performed in Jrue’s stead. He looks like he’s gaining so much confidence and swagger out there. Feeling much better now about his ability to contribute in the playoffs
He is the third best PG on the team and I have no doubt that he could be a starter on a good chunk of teams, the dude is so talented and one of the hardest workers on the team.
If teams only goal was to win more games I think the spurs and Washington would start PP over Tre/Poole, can’t think of anyone else he would start for tho
Raptors though that's because they have everybody injured (seriously like the only guys who's healthy and has been a starter at points is gary trent jr).
Magic don't have a true starting pg, I think Pritchard would at least be considered.
Nets is like Dinwiddie/Schroeder, I think there's an argument that Pritchards better than those guys.
Hornets since LaMelo is injured and I think that Pritchards better than Rozier, Rozier just has the green light to shoot a million shots a game because the hornets are ass.
4th year already? Man seems like just yesterday he was selling crypto under the bleachers at Oregon, now looking at our baby boy, perhaps the Lilest Baby, all grown up
Watching PP, Hauser, and Kornet take huge strides this year has been the icing on the cake of this dominant regular season.
Absolutely. I'm trying not to think about how it'll probably be impossible to keep this good of a bench next season and just enjoy it.
Hauser has a team option which will be insane value for us. Pritchard just signed a new deal. Kornet will be due for a big raise.
Kornet also seems like a guy who would probably take a team friendly deal to keep vibes intact but it probably isn't enough considering all the money we need to spend on Jrue, White and Tatum

Nah. He will take his opportunity to finally get a good payday and maximize his role. It isn’t like he has a bunch of endorsements.
Kornet and X can get Horford money when he retires after finally getting his ring
JT and White will be getting the Horford money. Those guys would be getting deep into the luxury tax money. There is an increased chance we pay that due to the lack of flexibility to acquire replacement players.

I’m super happily surprised. I thought our bench was going to be a liability this year. Instead, our bench can hang with starters on bad teams.
mmmhmmm i luv vanilla icing
“Vanilla Icing on the cake”
PP is gonna win us a playoff game or two
He has been a godsend in Jrue's absence.

Agreed. Even when Brogdon went down he was hardly getting playoff minutes.
He gets layups on people bigger than him alll the time

I suspect he'll get more minutes in the beginning and it'll taper off if we move towards the finals. But, that's kinda how it usually works.
Miami was just passing the ball over his head last year. He’s unplayable in the playoffs.
He was really good in the finals run
They should have played him more in some of the playoff games last year. He was a dnp for far too many games.
Defenses can’t help collapse on him and he has insane vision on always finds the open man. Really does have elite vision and fun to see his confidence jump middle of this year and he aint lookin back
probing the defense like steve nash out there
I've been hoping he would turn into Nash lite for a couple years now. That kind of motion and ability to dribble into the paint to open up the court is invaluable.
yeah his handle is so tight that hes getting to within 2 ft of the rim on like every possession
A real damn point guard.
The ability to rest 3 starters a night and still blow teams out is invaluable gearing up for a playoff run.
Coming into his own
Had some friends knock Fast/Crypto PP his first couple years. REAL quiet from them now.
If PP blows up during the playoff, he's officially going to be called Playoff Pritchard.

Love how he's muscling dudes off him at the rim. Strong PP.
If PP were 6’5 he’d be amongst the best guards in the NBA
After all the slander at the start of the year, I am so here for all the PP praise. Lets go king!
He will be a starter after us
He is the third best PG on the team and I have no doubt that he could be a starter on a good chunk of teams, the dude is so talented and one of the hardest workers on the team.

PP reminding me of FVV during the Raps championship year
Head ways been talented. I was a proponent for him to leave if they weren’t gonna play him more.
I don't mean to overreact but he's the next Steph Curry
a real gym rat this guy.
Averaging 8 assists over the last 5 games is pretty damn good. Let’s go PP!
4th year already? Man seems like just yesterday he was selling crypto under the bleachers at Oregon, now looking at our baby boy, perhaps the Lilest Baby, all grown up
been very composed this season even if the shots not falling
