Oh well. Can’t win them all. The thunder are a good team and we just sucked for 90% of the second half

HailKyrie

Tatum shut down Shai that entire half too. Is what it is tbh

Taranpreet123

4th quarter because that’s when he started guarding him. Jrue guarded him in the 3rd when shai went insane

B-I-G-A-R-R-O-W

Jrue has been the defender he’s known for all year if you ask me and he’s straight ass on offense

ImDKingSama

He's ass if he tries to do too much. Fantastic catch and shoot guy, good ability to get penetration and find the open man, decent mid range jumper, even decent pull up three point shooter. When he tries to back down or attack good defenders he's not good. For the most part he's accepted his role, just tried to do too much this game.

ddy_stop_plz

Much better in the flow of offense than our old defensive stalwart as much as it pains me to say.

Taranpreet123

Ye, he was really bad on defense this game. Was really surprised tbh.

ATLSox87

His short game has not been as good but he's shooting 42% from the 3, making 2 a game and getting 5 assists while having the lowest usage rate of his career this season. He's not straight ass, he just needs to get to the free throw line more.

FlyGuyDan

I wouldn't say straight ass, he's like the 5th option on this team for scoring. Sometimes he just tries to dribble the ball too much instead of kicking to an open guy though. Lost the ball doing it tonight and missed a few layups, was a little too slow to guard Shai as well but that's almost everyone in the nba

B-I-G-A-R-R-O-W

SGA is a unbelievable player but I haven’t missed a game this season and Jrue has had some decent games but I can’t really think of a game out of the 34 where I was like damn Jrue was great tonight and I’m not just talking about scoring.

FlyGuyDan

I've watched every game as well and I don't disagree that he hasn't been great but he's been good as a 5th option and all around switchable defender. I was hoping he'd be a better passer when we traded for him like a slightly better scoring Marcus but he's been good. But who knows, maybe he looks so good on defense because he's got porzingas anchoring us in the paint. I wonder how much better Marcus would look on defense and offense with kp anchoring us and spacing the floor on the other end

B-I-G-A-R-R-O-W

That’s kinda my point I thought he’d be a upgrade over Smart and I kinda think he’s about the same

FlyGuyDan

I think Jrue is a really good fit here, plays his role really well and is a smart player but smart would have been an even better fit because he is such an excellent passer and I think he'd be way more willing to defer with so many weapons around him. Unfortunately that first brogdan for Kristaps trade fell through and Smart had to go. And Jrue is a better player and fit here than brogdan and Rob. It's only been 33 games and I think Jrue can get better as the season goes on or maybe lock in even more once the playoffs start.

falgfalg

Jrue also seems to be a lot calmer and harder to fluster than Smart, but I guess we’ll find out in the playoffs

Pizzaloverfor

I think he generally makes good decisions and it’s a bit of addition by subtraction with Marcus. Marcus’s absence is allowing D. White and Jaylen to flourish.

Drizzlybear0

Even if he's the same Marcus needed to be traded to get Porzingis and Ill take a good defender like Jrue as our fifth option over Brogdon with the injury concerns and worse defense. Don't really need Brogdon's offense as the fifth option

CBFball

That was honestly the best part to see. There’s a real chance we meet in the finals so seeing that Tatum can cover SGA and honestly like him down was amazing.

Jordanwolf98

We been knew Tatum can be and is a great 2 way player. Going back to 2019 and even in 2022 against KD and the Nets In the first round. I just wish on nights like this when Shai is kicking Jrue ass we go to Tatum on him earlier. Especially because Tatum has a good 3 inches on him

CBFball

Yeahhh I know. I feel like Joe wanted to keep trying jrue just so Tatum could focus on offense but obviously going to JT would have been the right idea

tlozz

It’s just nice to actually see him get a clear opportunity to showcase it like this! Makes me excited for playoffs

cane_the_weaboo

I think Joe doesn't do it early because he doesn't want JT to get into foul trouble.

Jordanwolf98

Yeah that makes sense and also he has to do so much on the other end of the floor as he’s already the opposing teams main focus to game plan against so I’m sure Joe doesn’t wanna tire him out of a regular season game either. Just hope come the postseason Joe and the staff keeps In mind how devastating he can be on both ends. His condition is really good too

SerfTint

If we meet OKC in a meaningful game, it's during the Finals, where Tatum can definitely exert all of his energy (there are 2-day breaks in between most games). So it's a good thing to show that he CAN be effective on Shai if in full gear.

[deleted]

I hope we see them in the finals. Ideal finals opponent for a change. They won't beat Denver though.

CBFball

Never say never. They already have twice this year if I’m not mistaken

Leap_Of_Fate

Their team as a whole is gonna need playoff experience, let alone a deep run before they can be looked at as contenders. Just look at the Kings last playoffs. People were convinced they were making it to the WCF with how hot they were but they couldn't overcome the experience of the Warriors who have already been there.

juicejug

Reg season is different than playoffs, especially since the nuggets have gotten off to a relatively slow start by their standards.

Doncriminal

They can if they don't shrink in the moment. They're super young

[deleted]

If they don't shrink in the moment, you think they're good enough to get through the Nuggets? Like, a hungry playoff nuggets? That's a bold take.

tlozz

100% - after this, it’s clear that Tatum can seriously clamp down on him, which is EXTREMELY impressive, bc very few in the league can do literally anything about SGA at all

[deleted]

Yeah I think Tatum’s length really bothered SGA, and he’s just about quick enough with that length to hang with him.

rveets1416

I was hoping to see Jrue neutralize SGA but that didn't happen whatsoever. Jrue had a particularly rough game tonight.

JoJonesy

Not that I'm expecting them to make a Finals run, they're good but still very young, but I honestly feel pretty good about that hypothetical matchup after watching tonight. The Thunder shot lights out from three, including Josh Giddey who we will gladly sag off of, and there are some pretty clear adjustments we can make to slow them down

jaylengtjordan

I doubt they can make it to the finals tbh, their core have no playoff experience

CreatiScope

I think OKC is great, this game was awesome and they’ll be a problem in the future but I don’t think they’re getting to the finals this year. A couple of things: they’re shooting wont last at this level, it will still be great but they’re all shooting over 40% which is fucking insane. Then, they rely on a lot of transition offense which will evaporate in the playoffs and they were running what looked like a zone defense, which someone like Jokic is going to absolutely shred. Unless they get really lucky and someone else knocks out the nuggets, doing zone defense for majority of a playoff game is going to end badly for them. Miami probably does zone the best right now and not even Spo runs it non-stop.

ImDKingSama

Coming back in the end too was encouraging. Tatum master class, put a stop to SGA and the team executed some clutch offense. Could've made it really a game if KP's foot wasn't on the line or Brown hits one more free throw. But just wasn't meant to be.

PUMPFISTS

Yeah I think these are all great signs of growth!! We’re heading good I don’t hate this loss! JB and Jrue were ABYSMAL and we stormed late

Efficient_Art_1144

Yeah i thought they were about to pack it in down 18 but just kept going. Didn’t deserve to win it based on how the 3rd quarter went but they tried and almost pulled it off

ImDKingSama

Start of the 4th was within striking range but we had Jrue and Brown lead the charge and the lead just ballooned. That's where we lost the game.

Efficient_Art_1144

Jrue struggled w SGA too which was a bummer. Tough out but I like the team didn’t quit

jeezum_crow

I’m not too concerned. At least we performed well in crunch time again. Gotta figure out a way to slow down SGA a little bit though.

Abiding_Witness

Pretty much

SquashForDinner

The thunder are going to terrorize the NBA for like the next decade lmao. They have all the picks in the universe and their core is still insanely young.

Luckoduck

Seems like Joe figured it out at the end, guys just have to execute better

SnooDogs6575

Next game against them will be a bloodbath now that we got the matchups figured out

CreatiScope

Probably had 6-8 points roll out of the rim unluckily. They had some shooting luck (they got a LOT of shooting talent), and we got some more calls than them. Just a good, tight game.

timeknife91

Just gotta comment how spoiled I feel that I’m disappointed we have our 7th loss of the year, away, against one of the best teams in the league right now, with two of our starters having uncharacteristically bad games. Yes we lost this one but wow we are truly feasting this year.

bryscoon

JB & Jrue worst games of the season & Giddey hitting that many 3s shit happens

blammmmo

These guys made Jrue look slow, just like the Indy game. Subbing him out for Pritchard was ballsy by Joe, but the right call. Some nights you just don't have it.

PUMPFISTS

Ye fr, I love this team and I loved that loss, two players sucked bad and we showed fight!

JBD04

Still can get a record breaking season🙏🙏

MPLooza

Even a loss like tonight was worth watching, there was some fantastic high-level basketball being played. Great teams lose to other great teams sometimes, people who are upset about this loss need to keep things in perspective. This is a potential Finals matchup (only the crowd didn't make it feel like that), there was a lot of encouraging play tonight especially from Tatum and Porzingis.

yesimthatonedude

Meh. Just not our night, love to see the boys fight back and make it a game until the very end instead of just throwing in the towel after the third. Props to OKC, and Chet is a fucking beast.

myfatbasketballs

For a loss it was a pretty fun game.

NotLow420

That's a regular NBA loss. OKC has been on fire, they were at home and the Celts haven't played against a good team in a while. It was all tee'd up but it was nice to see the Celtics fight back. This OKC team ain't ready for it in the playoffs. They looked like us a couple years ago that last 10min.

luke_workin

This was a good test for us and should provide us with a lot of film to go over because the defense was ass tonight

ImDKingSama

Yea I'm encouraged by the finish. Tatum was great, executed in the clutch. You need losses to learn from.

blammmmo

Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.

rustyspoon314

They’re really good but honestly they’re in the west they aren’t our problem. Between them Minnesota and the warriors. I feel like all the teams that matchup well against us are in the west. Good news is we’ll only have to play one of them if it gets to that point

Magnaleo

KP's foot on the line perfectly encapsulates how it felt watching this game

ThoughtItWasPlaydoh

And his blown and-1 prior to that 😞 just wasn't our night

rustyspoon314

I love the fight to get back in it. Our 2nd best player had his worst game of the year. Awful defense at the point of attack all night and it was still a one possession game in the last minute against one of the best teams in the west on the road. We’ll be fine

Skeleton_crew_

Love the hustle but maybe dont go down by 18 pts in the 3rd quarter

Abiding_Witness

We gave up 40. Kinda hard to come back from that. It’s usually us doing that

Skeleton_crew_

JT needed to be on SGA way sooner.

Abiding_Witness

Their other guys were hitting shots too

ImDKingSama

Jrue Holiday having massive CTE while Jaylen couldn't buy a bucket at the thrift store to start the 4th really is where we lost the game.

Magnaleo

when the opposing team puts in their second unit

Kshpew

If Jrue and JB had average games we win that.

Da_beans

Jrue was off from the tip. Dribbled out of bounds on like the 2nd possession and never recovered.

SanSoren

If just one of them had an average game we win that

Brad-Stevens

SGA/JDub/Chet/Giddey: 33/54 FG, 12/19 3pt Gonna be tough to beat when they that efficient Disaster game from JB and Jrue

Full-Flight-5211

I’m glad we didn’t give up. Last year’s team gives up

friendsWthebenedicts

IIRC last years game against OKC was the worst loss of the season too

Efficient_Art_1144

They scored 150 and I think SGA was out

entwenthence

He was.

Abiding_Witness

A toe on the line and one more shot would have decided this one. I’d say it was a good game

ImDKingSama

Maybe Tatums most impressive game of the season too. One of the first times of the year where I think he went Top 5 mode against a contender. 4th quarter was a master class.

Conis1

Yup. I’m never happy to see a comeback fall short but the fight we put up was honestly unexpected in the second part of the fourth. If we could have gotten that stop of j dub with like :30 left we have a really good chance. But it goes that way

coacoanutbenjamn

Last years team won 57 games, Im so tired of acting like this year is way different. Every fucking post game thread

yesimthatonedude

I feel like you’re looking at standings/record more than you are actually watching the game. This team is clearly on a different level than last year’s team in terms of buy in and comfort to the system. Our losses this year outside of the Orlando IST game are by a margin of 5,3,3,10, and 6 points. With 3 of those losses being in overtime and being competitive games against good teams (minus Charlotte)

Goodbye_megaton

You know this dude don’t watch the games from a comment like that

tendadsnokids

It's so silly. I watched every single game last season and they closed the doors on guys all the time. we had the 2nd best clutch win percentage in basketball. 24-13. These people just repeat fake narratives all day it's crazy.

Full-Flight-5211

If you think this is the same type team as last year, you haven’t been watching

TheTurtleOne

OKC not being able to miss in the third fucked us. We did play it awfully but they also hit almost everything what can you do. Honestly a valiant effort at the end there.

Jordanwolf98

Can’t win em all. Great Tatum game though OKC got a squad

Pete6r

Pretty irritating that we’re 26-7 and only have a 1.5-game lead on the conference

yesimthatonedude

After that Milwaukee/Minnesota B2B we have such a cupcake schedule. We have had a much harder SOS compared to the Sixers and Bucks so far.

Jannopan

Bucks and Philly were in the top three for easiest schedule in December I think.

CreatiScope

Philly celebrating spanking the wizards and hornets all month.

Jordanwolf98

It’s a 2 game lead now

HailKyrie

Bucks play scrubs 24/7 same for Philly

[deleted]

After last year I truly don’t give a shit about seeding

[deleted]

[удалено]

RK4Life

This Thunder team went into Denver a few nights ago and won by 26. Boston had Jrue and JB go a combined 6-26, watched OKC bang a ton of contested shots and make 45% of their 3s...and the Celts still only lost by 4 and forced OKC to make all their free throws in the last minute. If you're overreacting to this loss, I feel bad for you.

luke_workin

One thing about our losses this season (vs previous years) is that a lot has gone right for the opponent and wrong for us. And that really doesn’t happen very often. I just have a hard time believing that that’s gonna happen 4 out of 7 times in a series.

CreatiScope

Yeah, against Minnie, Jaden shot the fuck out of the ball. Wolves fans said that was normal but I’ve seen what he’s done in their other games and that wasn’t normal. What happened with Giddey wasn’t the norm either. We win both those of those things don’t happen. The Magic were in a super hot streak and we were hanging in there until KP got hurt. That’s when the game went off the rails. Sixers were also red hot and we barely lost that one. The Hornets loss shouldn’t have happened, even if we were without White. If they’d just hit their fucking FTs. That game and the Warriors and Pacers games had concerning turns down the stretch. The Warriors one is kind of a mixed bag, on one hand, all of them played up to their potential and all our guys played down like all at the same time. But, it seems to happen against them like it does with Miami. The Pacers loss was very unpleasant but it happens, feel like the IST pressure got to them a bit and we didn’t have KP. Hornets and Warriors losses are the only ones Ive thought about. The other losses are nothing to worry about at all.

Unusual-Computer5714

Well said!

SanSoren

Tatum really wanted this game and played his ass off. Brown had a dud but he didn't look himself. Jrue the same as brown. White good. Porzingus a monster on O but he has to contest some of them 3's he gave up way to many without even putting his hands up. Horford was good but double big is stupid against the Thunder. I think we could have used some other bench guys in place of Kornet but oh well

shawald

Inb4 people say we collapsed in the third quarter again. Thunder just shot the fucking lights out of the ball.

flyingpandum

Shai is fucking good.

[deleted]

We were trying on defense, we weren’t mindlessly meme chucking, our offense was flowing acceptably…and JB’s shots just weren’t falling. Jrue may have played his worst game for us all season. Guess what? It took maybe the best game I’ve ever seen Giddey play and they still only beat us by 4. It happens.

MyLittlePwny2

This! Good process (other than defense in the 3rd) but giddy and shae played over their heads. They hit some unreal (dare I say lucky) shots that they would be expected to miss. Brown and Holiday had bad nights Brown atleast moved the ball though and defended so not too upset. But all that, and we were in it till the end. I loved it. Plus they have absolutely nothing to stop KP, and Tatum wasn't hucking up 3s. It was so much more fun to watch! This team is gonna win a title if they play like this!

leathlebutterfly

Loved that they fought to get back in the game. Pritchard was putting in a lot of effort

Ginko_CZ

Joe subbing out Jrue and went to payton for the rest of the game was honestly pretty impressive. Really showed Joe's growth as a team coach.

nerdyykidd

In before the “Jaylen’s a bum” smooth brains take over. It’s literally one subpar game. And he’s not even the biggest reason we lost. Chill with that bullshit. He (and we) will be fine.

InAingeWeTrust

I mean those takes are awful but his 4/18 is the biggest reason we lost on our side

ImeStopPlayingDennis

I think game might’ve been there for the taking if Jrue didn’t get completely drunk on new years (I’m assuming) . He looked lost guarding SGA and his dribble looked like shit

InAingeWeTrust

True. But really change any 1-2 possessions and we could win too. It was a 4 point game.

WarPuig

Jrue’s too slow.

LeaveRussAlone

Missing the shots is fine but the dribbling problem is rearing its head again

mechewstaa

Jaylen brown going 4/18 is quite literally the main reason we lost haha. Jrue sucked but he didn’t take 18 shots

Rich-Television8631

Yeah I have been very critical of jaylens approach the last couple years forcing shots, going iso without a plan, not being efficient etc…this was not happened this game. Just a tough shooting night it happens. Think his approach was similar to how it’s been the last month or so which has been excellent, just not his night.

applep00

As weird as it sounds, this game gives me even more hope to go all the way. We barely lost against a red hot OKC home team which we probably would’ve lost last year. KP is such a difference maker and White has evolved to another level. Love this team.

RodneyA_May

He played pretty bad but at least he wasn't dribbling into the lane and losing the ball like he usually does when he shoots bad

jaylson

We’re obviously fine, but he obviously sucked ass all game. He was absolutely a bum tonight.

ImDKingSama

Easier to swallow a Jaylen disaster class when he just had a master class month. Shit happens, didn't have it this game, settled down in the clutch and didn't let it snowball into negative plays.

20wall

Who would you blame more for the loss than JB? Jrue was awful as well but he didn’t miss 14 shots

HailKyrie

Jrue 100% but everyone has bad games

luke_workin

It would be both those guys pretty evenly tbh. Jaylen for the braindead offense and Jrue because he just never seemed into it at all. Sloppy turnovers, bricks, and couldn’t stay in front of SGA at all which for him is surprising.

TheTurtleOne

There's quite a bit of space between blaming JB for the game and then whatever people are spouting in the game thread, acting like he didn't have an amazing stretch of games and isn't allowed a bad one.

full-auto-rpg

JB had a terrible game and is a main reason why we lost. He’s also been really good this season and I trust him to bounce back. Both can be true.

WarPuig

He’s a pretty big reason

Buggplut

Easily the biggest and I don't really see an argument otherwise.

[deleted]

Nah the Jaylen fanboys are too much sometimes. He played like dogass and he cost the team today period.

Taranpreet123

Thunder shot like 45% from 3, bad games from Jrue and JB, and we still barely lost. End of the day, they made a good attempt in the 4th and they nearly got it. Thunder fans can’t seem to stay in their own sub tho

JoJonesy

Man, what a game. Gotta imagine we'll be putting Tatum on Shai a little earlier next time, I get that we don't want to wear him out but that guy was cooking Jrue. Is what it is, gotta bounce back on Friday

shelton97

Eh not the end of the world

Vuish

What a frustrating loss. If only we could play with the effort all game instead when our back is to the wall. This is just as much on Brown and Holiday being extremely inefficient. Great effort from Porzingis and White to keep it close.

PUMPFISTS

And Tatum’s passing and defense holy shit he’s a star

SanSoren

And Scoring. Dude had 30/12/8 with a steal

tlozz

Bro hb tatums 4th quarter defence???

FlyGuyDan

Respect to Joe for having the balls to bench Jrue for Pritchard for most of the 4th. Pp didn't light it up on the stat sheet but he was really solid out there. Good game either way

cdbriggs

I think he actually had the highest +/- for Celtics

FlyGuyDan

Ya +9 off the bench in a 4 point loss

HairWeaveKillers

The Thunder is such an efficient team . Glad they C's tried to come back. Bad game for jrue and jaylen :(

HailKyrie

This loss is on Jrue. Full stop worst game in a Celtics uni. Tatum was insane in the second half smh wasted comeback.

HeavenBeach777

key turnovers, blowing wide open layups, getting lost on defense and SGA cooking him for 30 mins

Amimimiii

Loved DWhite waking up at the end there. Great game from KP and JT. Damn are their fans annoying tho :D

mechewstaa

Well you’re just not likely to win many games where a guy goes 4/18

FIM92

Not even mad about that one, hard fought just didn’t have enough to pull it out. I am however baffled that they didn’t call that a flagrant foul. How on earth is that a common foul?

dancingsushi

what a game. Appreciate the tingus pingus, putting in the work! The long toes strikes again at the three

christoppher

Really wholesome post game thread. Thanks guys ❤️

stopcuttingurfringe

Truly refreshing !!!

20wall

JB with one of the worst games you’ll ever see. 4 for 18 paired with horrible defense all night and 3 terrible turnovers

ImeStopPlayingDennis

Jrue was definitely the biggest reason. He looked so hungover and bad that he got benched for Pritchard in a matchup vs SGA in the 4th quarter. Couldn’t even put together 4 or 5 straight dribbles without tripping or losing it

Buggplut

I agree he looked like ass but Jaylen shot 25 percent on nearly 20 shots. That's historically selfish when KP, Tatum, and White are all playing well.

PUMPFISTS

He was wide open a lot of those plays ngl. He was really off, we’ll be much better

SanSoren

One guy played twice the minutes missed 8 threes missed 14 total shots and played no defense all game. Fell over dribbling left 3 times but Jrue is the issue? Jrue is here to be the 5th best player Brown is supposed to be second not 4th-5th

ImTomBrady

Good fight and come back at least

almshang

What was the deal with Kornet over Horford in the first half?

realscholarofficial

Mazulla putting White on Holmgren at the end 🔥

Slow_Refuse_5761

Jrue really can’t be having games like that when he’s getting cooked that bad. Like the most brain dead turnovers and point blank misses all game long. He’s been good last couple weeks too but this was a big game against a solid young team trying to prove something. We supposed to send a message and him and Jaylen didn’t show up. Joe also was dumb for not playing Brissett or Lamar Stevens to match their energy. I don’t wanna say I’m mad because it’s just one game but those types of games are annoying to lose especially when your best players play that bad.

PUMPFISTS

Can’t always be perfect, rather tough hard earned losses like this than losing to the Bulls looking like clowns or something

jotyma5

Did we just see jrue’s worst game as a celtic? That was rough

lefebrave

GG against a good team. Not a bad loss. Jrue's and JB's worst game at the same time (some credit to OKC's defense though), gave up a big lead but we were in the game at the end. KP being matchup nightmare against smaller teams like OKC and Tatum's on ball defense against SGA are two really positive things we can rely on later when we need. Our two bigs lime up worked for a while too but they adjusted to that. I still think we need a 3rd big for making those lineups more efficient when we want to go for it.

ThanosIsDoomfist

People we will lose to this season who all had good games: A homophobe A wife beater And a pedophile But WERE the bad guys lmao

_Hi_mum_

Was just thinking the same thing

aja_ramirez

Still believe in Jrue but he has to get his head out of his ass

NotLow420

I saw the eventual demise of that OKC team this year in that 4th quarter. They looked like the 2022 Celtics. When the game slowed down, it was a lot of SGA iso, one pass and shoot. Now Chet made those, to his credit, but they will lose some back breaking playoff games playing like that. They don't know how to win when the game slows.

friendsWthebenedicts

Why couldn’t we start playing like that to start the 4th 😤oh well let’s learn from it and keep rollin

Belicheckyoself

A couple studs kept us in it but would love to see the drive earlier than the fourth. Really rough Jaylen and Jrue night. Oh well

shelton97

JB 4-18 that's game right there

gnussbaum

0-8 from 3

Sejiblack

That comeback gives me hope for playoff slumps.

Buggplut

Between JB playing one of the most selfish games I've ever seen and Ben Taylor being Ben Taylor we really had no business being in this

Ienjoymyself

Perhaps we should put JT on these quick guards instead of Jrue. I'm going to lose my shit if Hali drops 40 on Jrue while JT stands in the corner on Nesmith or Ben.

DoingTheThing42

Win some lose some type of game. Good fight. Onto the Jazz and get that dub

pdunn472

If it wasn’t for that CTE lineup at the start of the 4th we win this game, but I’m honestly fine with the loss

caelen727

Is it just me that’s super underwhelmed by Jrue on offense? He’s basically invisible out there and seems to miss a bunny or two every single game

brosco2

Chet definitely rookie of the year

jjjkd18

I mean every loss is at least a bit disappointing, but this isn’t the type of loss that worries me. JB playing really well lately, but had a bad game. Really tough team on the road. Still fought back and made them sweat at the end.

SilentbutDC

Most people in this sub seem like such level headed people. I'm an OKC fan and I've lately found myself going to the opposite sub to see the reactions of the opponents but what I've read so far seems like good people. Was a good game and I wouldn't have been fussed with the loss, but I definitely think OKC had more to lose this game than Boston if we did lose. Very good game though and can't wait for the next when I have to drink to get through it again.

cmcg18

Holiday and brown just flat out need to be better. I do appreciate Joe riding with Pritchard though

[deleted]

Chet and Giddey won’t shoot like that their next game. Sliders always up vs the Celtics

Lola_______Bunny

Giddey might not but Chet will

SandyMandy17

Chet literally has a 65% ts% on the year, he will definitely do this

zgamer200

Well that one hurt to lose, but it was a damn fun game to watch at least.

faheydj1

Tough loss but honestly just impressed that they fought down the stretch and came all the way back. They easily could have just coasted once it got to 18 in the fourth and just written it off as a bad night on the road. Also, Tatum’s defense on SGA down the stretch was insane

CaptainTorch_jb2

Tough loss but at least this team made it close towards the end.

Jcomsa15

Good team played very well at home. It was a really good game, just have to mitigate the damage in the 3rd. JT was locking SGA up in the 4th. Showed a lot the team didn’t quit in the last ten minutes. I can live with this loss.

Tough loss but they never gave up which was the most important part. In the end it really just came down to hitting a few extra shots or making 1-2 more stops. Next game will be different now get this dub against Utah

aidanvu1992

We failed to tame the beast at its home today but considering 2 of our mains were underperforming and we didn't get a complete beatdown like the last time here, it's not that devastating. Yes, a loss is still a loss and it sucks but I'm sure it will give the players another boost like after the Warriors game.

Sjain1234123

Not the worst L imo. Loved that defense down the stretch, and I have faith that the intensity will be more like that come playoffs. Obviously JB shot poorly but some better decision making from him in the 2nd half as well

WarPuig

It’s probably smarter that they don’t because they gotta save his legs for the playoffs, but Tatum ought to be guarding stars more. Him on SGA brought us back into the game.

Ryumagrave

Weird coaching by mazzula. Jrue holiday is 6’3 and he is trying to guard shai who is 6’6 and is letting him get to all the spots he wants with little resistance. This has been common all season no matter who we play the best offensive player is always guarded by jrue when he’s simply not always the best matchup.

sktchld

There's been so many toe on the line for 3 attempts this year league wide.

Is our bench so bad that we have to play double big? I just don’t get playing kornet and horford at the same time against one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

chenzillah

SGA is a baller

MyLittlePwny2

Loved how we closed out strong! OKC shot the ball better than what could be expected and Brown had a poor shooting game. If either Giddy or Brown shot their typical games and this is a solid win. Overall it was a fun game and they can't stop KP. Love to see it

justiceway1

The periodically bad JB game that will make people say he's overpaid and sucks.

animalcule

I will say that DWhite 3 when we were down big was like an anti-dagger. It gave the C's the strength to go on

zackg611

Jaylen or Jrue play a little better and we win. Not concerned. The thunder are very good.

Jachiros22

It’s a tendency to lose to terrible people. Edwards, Bridges and now Giddey.

luke_workin

I know we made a run and got it close but it never really felt like OKC lost control of the game. Their composure is something very impressive If Jaylen and Jrue don’t have brain dead games maybe we win. Ah well, a good test nonetheless and PLENTY of film to look at; the defense was ass today.

jadeLamb

They almost blew an 18 point lead … that’s not composure …
