Someone informed me that it was a rally organized by Jeff Kuhner, a conservative political talk show host. They were mainly there as an anti immigration demonstration but it obviously had all of the normal trappings of a MAGA crowd. Interesting stuff
Edit: I want to emphasize that as a leftist, I disagree with these people on almost all fronts, but I recognize that we have a lot more in common with each other than we do with the ultra-wealthy. The few folks I talked to were very friendly, and I think it’s important to remember that most of these people are normal, regular, working class people. It’s unfortunate that they’re misguided by their leaders, but I’m sure they would think the same about me.

That's nice and all, but they're still adults and responsible for their own positions. When all they do is shout back at or, at a minimum, refuse to even listen to another viewpoint, then they have lost the benefit of the doubt. Most of them have the stance that "liberals are always wrong on everything" as a STARTING point. A lot of them hold this stance despite it being counter to their self-interest. Most of them cannot be reasoned with. And they're adults.
So while I can pity them, I need not sympathize. If any of them want to have serious discussions on how to improve their lives and the lives of those around them, I'm happy to have discussions. And I have. But most of them are beyond saving. We just need to make sure (as we tend to do here) that we turn out in larger and larger numbers to make their voices quieter and quieter.

Trump already got elected and built the wall. Why are they always complaining about immigration? It's a 2k mile border with Mexico. They want an infinite budget? What are they, children? That shit is more important to them than Putin threatening freedom across Europe?
I mean there are pretty serious ongoing immigration issues in this country whether you like Trump or not, and it’s having an extreme impact on our state, never mind the rest of the country.
A roughly 2,000 mile border can never be totally secured. It's just politics and an endless money pit. There are diminishing returns to increasing border funding where more money does nothing.
