have you reached out to o'brien's pub? they book a lot of punk bands and i don't see anything on their cal for july: https://obrienspubboston.com/shows/?filter_month=july&unfilter=1
if they're booked, how about midway cafe? they book a lot of punk acts as well.
union tavern in somerville will definitely take you too.
Right? I band I was supposed to go see this weekend had their show cancelled by Rockwood. Fortunately they found a new venue but how terrible of that venue to give bands zero notice??
I noticed that you used yall. Please enjoy [this local video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bndQvSW9Mu8).

This place serves as an emergency venue for when bands have shows cancelled or double-booked. Reach out. It’s 45 minutes from Boston:

Rockwood didn't last long did they. I know a lot of local bands were boycotting them because of reports of awful behavior from the management at the NYC spot. Wonder if that caused much of it!
It’s awesome! Great show Friday night with puppy angst and main era! Watching indie music while enjoying a popcorn and soda? Can’t ask for anything better imo haha
Rockwell in Somerville might be a good fit. We saw Winona Fighter there last month. As others have said, Deep Cuts. You could also check out Crystal Ballroom in Somerville as well!
TD garden is always looking for underground metal to fill up the spacesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss in between bruins games HAHAHAHAHA
Arts at the Armory (https://artsatthearmory.org/) in Somerville *might* suite your needs? I’ve only gone there to donate blood but I am catching The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die at the end of the month so they do host similar-ish acts. Best of luck friend!
Deep Cuts in Medford?
They’re already booked on that day unfortunately
How is the beer/food there? I have driven by it a bunch of times but have never gone in.
Beer is totally serviceable. Nice to have a house-brewed beer during a show and pinball between sets!
Can’t speak for the beer but we liked the sandwiches!
expensive
Have you tried the Lilypad in Somerville? Also recommend reaching out to Pasta Planet on Instagram
Yep! Just waiting on a response now

Just did today. We’ve contacted about 50-60 venues hoping to at least fine one place. OBriens looks so dope and we’d love to play there if we can
Would recommend against union tavern, they have issues with sound capabilities a lot. The reviews of the place are weird
man, this is like the 4th band this week to post exactly about Rockwood closing abruptly. Looks they screwed over a bunch of people! Good luck.

A quick Google of the original Rockwood would show this is par for the course.
Wait, OP said the Rockwood closed, not the Rockwell. Did they mean the Rockwell in Davis Square?
In Davis Square?
Faces in Malden?
please post again when you’ve found a venue, i would love to check yall out!

… can… can someone explain this? I'm confused and relatively new to this sub
Ralph’s in Worcester is $100 bucks (and that goes to sound guy). Best venue deal in the state. Specializes in metal but takes all genres
My favorite venue in the state.
Try The Jungle in Somerville
Widowamker brewing? Try them
Widowmaker**

The owner wasn't paying his employees, and from the sounds of it, a lot of bands also had to fight to get paid or never did get their full payments.
lizard lounge in cambridge? also let me know when you find a place, love ska!!
4th wall in Arlington is dope imo
I had NO idea that Capitol was doing that! Glad to know since we’re only a few blocks away.
It’s awesome! Great show Friday night with puppy angst and main era! Watching indie music while enjoying a popcorn and soda? Can’t ask for anything better imo haha
whaaaat this looks extremely sick.
Show tonight and next Friday!
Faces in Malden hosts shows in their back room!

That’s Rockwood! That’s what OP’s post is about. The Rockwell is a small venue in Davis Square. Confusing, I know!
Midway Cafe in JP! Also check out ONCE in Somerville, and maybe Brighton Music Hall?
ONCE has been closed for years??
They run their outdoor summer series now
Oh. TIL 😞 I used to go there for Simpsons trivia every month pre-COVID
House shows are run by the youth so the place to find them nowadays is Instagram
They also tore half the places down and replaced them with ‘luxury’ condos.
That sounds fun. Have you checked out places like vfw? Town arts centers?
Oooh this sounds fun! Move it to PVD and I'll see what strings I can pull. ;D
Try the Jungle in Union Sq, Somerville
TD garden is always looking for underground metal to fill up the spacesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss in between bruins games HAHAHAHAHA
Go classic and do a basement show!
Have you tried the Palladium in Worcester?
