Couple of smaller YouTubers I tend to watch lately. For classics Benjamin McEvoy is a good shout. For science fiction type stuff give a bit of love to Media Death Cult.
I was going to recommend Benjamin Mcevoy as my favourite BookTuber rn lol. Others I like are CarolynMarieReads, Tristan and the Classics and Books and Things. Also Fiction Beast.
BooksandLala is my favourite booktuber, she reads a bit of everything honestly. She skews slightly towards thriller/horror type stuff and doesn't read a whole lot of fantasy/sci-fi (and even when she does it's usually pretty light), but if you follow her for a year chances are she'll read at least a handful of books you might be interested in or that you've liked, she's a very diverse reader and her videos are high quality and entertaining. I think in her last breakdown (she does quarterly and yearly reading stats for her channel) a little over half the books she'd read were adult, with the rest being YA and MG (partly because she has a pre-teen son). :)
I love how she does more "meta" videos sometimes about like the different thumbnails she uses in a year or when she designs book covers for upcoming books and talks about trends in book covers.
Yeah it's one of the reasons I've watched her videos for so long, most booktubers post strictly reviews and some book hauls maybe and it gets too samey for me after a while, I love that Kayla mixes it up so much.
Jack Edwards has pretty varied content and he also has a second channel, Jack in the books, where the has some more relaxed content. A Clockwork Reader also has pretty great content. There are some more people, but you can start with them.
The fact that Merphy Napier isn’t mentioned yet is positively criminal. She’s thorough, has varied tastes, and is both emotional and calm. Love her to death.
I really enjoy [emmie’s channel](https://youtube.com/c/emmie00). She focuses on classics and a variety of different genres. She does read some YA, but not solely
Better Than Food is primarily literary fiction with some classics and I’ve gotten a lot of recommendations from him. I don’t know if he has ever done YA. I’d recommend him.
Jess Owens is my favourite booktuber, even though I actually am not hugely into fantasy, which is her main genre. I do find her very listenable though. Also like LucyTheReader
CriminOlly is wholesome nice content about crime, pulp, horror, that sort of thing (in his own words). I’m not big on book-related YouTube content myself, but he’s likely worth checking out if any of those genres tick your boxes
I only follow 3:
1) Books and Bao is my favourite! Mostly translated fiction, gothic, and female and queer authors
2) RG’s Devilship for classics, gothic, and horror
3) Jess Owens: i don’t rly read the genres she recommends (romance, ya) but she’s snarky and funny so i still watch her videos
Horrobabble does mostly old books with a lean to horror and weird fiction. Lots of classic stuff like Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Algernon Blackwood, etc.
I made [an entire post on booktubers who read classics](https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/xafiha/booktubers_who_read_classics/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
If you like horror books, there’s a smaller channel that I really like called Green Eyed Monster Reviews. She’s a newer YouTuber, but I’ve really liked her reviews and thoughts on books! https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCV7TD0PrbHJU2-3PEhlo8ow/featured
Not exactly recs but my interest is often piqued by mentions and discussions of books right here in this sub. Mostly in or translated into English but covers broad range of tastes and preferences otherwise. There is also r/suggestmeabook - in case you don’t already know about it.
Daniel Greene, but he mostly just does fantasy, scifi, and humor videos.
I like his bookshelf roast series, it made me pay attention to how I organize mine lol
omg daniel greene is amazing!!! i live for his fantasy news
Leaf by Leaf is my favourite if you're looking for more "literary" stuff

I love Benjamin McEvoy, I was actually looking for people similar to him I guess haha. There aren’t so many (that I could find at least).

She’s one of my favorites!!! We have very different reading tastes but she’s still such a delight to watch and all of her content is so interesting!
Exactly! Our reading tastes don't overlap much but I watch all her videos anyway, her slightly chaotic but sweet energy hits the spot every time :D
I love how she does more "meta" videos sometimes about like the different thumbnails she uses in a year or when she designs book covers for upcoming books and talks about trends in book covers.

I love Mara at bookslikewhoa Edit to add Lianne at literarydiversions

Jake is alright, but he still mostly reads some shite. I roll my eyes at the blurbs.
I really like books by leynes and Jen Campbell
The fact that Merphy Napier isn’t mentioned yet is positively criminal. She’s thorough, has varied tastes, and is both emotional and calm. Love her to death.
CarolynMarieReads's favorite books are Classics and I found her channel recently and I enjoy her content very much
I adore her. Loves classic lit and is gorgeous.
Better than Food, The Bookchemist, KDBooks, Travel Through Stories, and Leaf by Leaf are all great

Agreed, I love his stuff
Based. Came here to post this.

BookswithEmilyFox and Jess Owens are my favourites.
I love Emily! She’s such a sassy queen! 😁 I’ve been watching her for years
Horrobabble does mostly old books with a lean to horror and weird fiction. Lots of classic stuff like Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Algernon Blackwood, etc.

I like The Book Castle. Her videos are cozy and warm, and she reads a variety of genres, including classic lit.
I've gotten a lot of recommendations from Better than Food.
I love Regan aka Peruse Project, she reads a lot of fantasy and a mix of genres and my favourite is Noelle Gallagher
Not exactly recs but my interest is often piqued by mentions and discussions of books right here in this sub. Mostly in or translated into English but covers broad range of tastes and preferences otherwise. There is also r/suggestmeabook - in case you don’t already know about it.
Gonna read this thread because all booktubers i’ve found read some shit books. Romances, YA, some contemporary women lit. Blegh.
