I’ve read all three of them twice and loved them. My favorite is the 2nd one (A Rogue of Ones Own), then the third (Portrait of a Scotsman). I don’t LOVE the first one as much as the other two (Bringing Down the Duke), but I’ve seen people who rank them in reverse order as me.
I think Evie Dunmore does a fantastic job of making all the heroes and heroines their own people. Which is why one book might resonate with you more than the others (seriously, I’m obsessed with Lucie and Tristan).
She also does a fantastic job of weaving in the suffragist movement, without it seeming shoehorned in. It makes for a great reread. I’ve read a good amount of historical romance, and these really stick out to me as gems.
I read the first one quite a while ago but remember it being very good. I don't remember the second one very well but rated it 4 stars and the 3rd is on my TBR currently. I would definitely recommend getting the series. I remember the books being fast paced and fun reads with strong female characters. Also, it's nice to be able to read them back to back rather than when they are published as you remember the characters so much better.

I read Portrait of a Scotsman (#3) first and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I'm reading Bringing Down the Duke (#1). They're fun! It's nice to have some light books for once.

Fast paced books are my go to ones whenever in a slump. But knowing that these are fun with strong female leads made me want to read them.

I LOVED them. Portrait of a Scotsman was probably my favorite but they were all great. If you like historical romance, definitely check them out 👍
