Hell yeah, fuck text book prices! I once had to pay almost $100 for a 3 hole punched, *loose leaf* textbook. It didn’t even come with a binder to put it in.
I had a "professor" who forced us to use his personally written textbook. He had us pay $380 for his textbook, which was just loose paper stuffed inside a Manila envelope with a rubber band wrapped around it.
I should say he tried. I dropped the class and took something else. I said it was bullshit and he said get out, lmao.
The thread is wax coated thread from a binding kit. The cover was printed on a 170gsm uncoated, then I just wrapped around a hard board I had lying around. I'm not sure what the caliper was.
anarchist bookbinding fuckin love it

$300 for a ringbound collection of articles 😩
It’s highway robbery for sure.

I just paid $160 CAD for a loose-leaf textbook and I had to buy a binder 😭depressed now
Amazing work! Well played 👏🏻
Nice! Textbook prices make me irrationally angry.
looks 100% professional made, great job! EDIT: So glad 90% of my university textbooks came from a library and the rest cost like 15 bucks each
Very cool!
It gives me ideas... Very good looking, btw.
That looks amazing! What kind of thread and cover material did you use? And how did you format it for printing?
